Having to dig in because of the c string, knocking the cello around. It hurts. Plus, we have to keep a straight face playing canon in d.
Both are difficult ❤
The cello's position is much more natural :D
We only suffered for 13mins but Hyung, a cellist, suffered for an hour
We didn't suffer too HAHAH
hahahaha
Oof
Well the video editor obviously suffered the most.
I am your 666th like...
No, the cellos did.
Eddy: I think it’s alright, I think violin is still better.
Hyung: *G E T O U T O F M Y H O U S E*
Jesus Christ died for your sssssinsss

Eddy: "cello is so much easier than violin"
Cell guy: *smile fades like kanye when he realized he's being watched*
Jesus Christ died for your sssssinsss
Brett’s face whenever Hyung compliments Eddy’s playing is my whole life
Andrea Lin this comment deserves an award
In the end Brett had it better 😂 perfect pitch couldn't help eddy that much in this one
i demand a new twoset series: twoset teaches other classical musicians to play the violin
the comedy!
professors yang and chen!
the flex!
They could basically do this with all of the musicians from their "beginner/professional" videos, that would be their revenge ! 😅
They could teach me. I volunteer.
“My elbow clicked, is that ok?”😂
[silence]
My favorite part 😂😂😂😂
Typical brett
I love teaching violinists the cello. There are technical issues that don't line up but they know how strings work and move very quickly. Good job guys!
Me too
The swan has just died.
Twice.
Rip swan
Yup
I don't get the joke 😅😅
minari penguin the song is called something swan and he/she is saying they killed the song
@@sentientsushi7701 ohh, thanks
90% of this was them being tired old men.
Hahaha but it's true.. I've tried once and it was so tiring, especially the right hand. Is it normal for all beginners?
@@yanramadhangahinsah8476 i played the violin before starting cello and YES. MY HANDS AND ARMS ARE SO TIRED TT cello requires more strength
I play the cello and yes it is tiring. Anyone who plays a stringed instrument has an unnatural position while playing.
*If you can learn cello slowly, you can learn cello quickly*
Lol
I’m a cellist and I’ve played this piece before. It took me a few days to get this piece the right quality and tone. Seeing Brett and Eddy playing the cello as a violinist is ridiculously impressive and they played it under an hour.
Exactly 💯
The funniest thing is that they were still using a violin vibrato 😂
And eddy still using violin bowhold
Lol
yesss loool so true
Yes, but it still kind of worked! Which makes me just sad I can’t figure out vibrato after 3 years ;0;
It is so hard to get away from that, i played violin 14 years and i was good at Violin and switched to cello after that and it is really hard to Stop playing Like Violin, Took myself about 1-3 years (bow like 5min, but left hand is definitly an other story), remember they did it for 1h and that was really good
“Weak sound but more control”
“Violin sound”
-damn you didn’t have to do the violin like that 😭
And yet it's still so true.
Yes, yes he did
Alternative title: _How to torture a cellist for 12 minutes and 58 seconds_
Uhhhhh, 1.4k? Thanks!
*how did this happen*
In the video 12:58 minutes ,in reality an hour
An hour*
Ahhhhhhh. Their bow arms are up and the bow is just, and their fingers in their other hand are so slanted. Whhhyyyyyyyyy
LMAO I relate so much to him and I only had to do it for 20 min 😂
Like I had to teach my friend and she literally knew nothing. It sounded like a dying chicken
Shoutout of appreciation to Hyung being silent and focused as Brett and Eddie were playing their pieces. I'n not sure if its because Hyung has a more stoic personality but the gesture came across to me as a sign of respect for music being played.
Loved this episode!
"cello's so much easier"
Proceeds to torture cello for the next 1 minute
proceeds to make the most horrible noises lol
i mean it's literally their first time trying it so i thought they did really well
@@larahorhor5470 cello still is NOT easy.
I was in the middle of sipping hot tea and when I read ur comment I almost spilled my whole cup😂
@@irlbocchi those who have violin or viola background it's quite easy for them to play the cello. It's really tough for complete beginners.
Brett is the kind of musician/student who puts himself down constantly when comparing himself to others, but does amazing just out of sheer talent/instinct.
Nicole Sim He definitely seems more of tactile learner, so he can catch on pretty quickly when he’s actually playing the instrument.
I agree
Yeah he seems like he's not getting it & than he nails it. He trust his hands & focuses on the sheet. Brett is a sight reading machine and Eddy can hear if they're off, they're a perfect team!
"Camera dies along with Brett's will to live" 😂
I actually like this part 11:36 --- 11:47
Actually the best part.👍
Exactly, my mind just wandered somewhere and then realized it is Brett actually :O
ikr it's so gooooooood! i feel like i'm in this serene calming presence(?) that high note tho, it's just heaven. i felt like i'm in heaven in that seconds.
With Brett's cute serious face ^_^
For a moment I thought he was gonna play the Halo theme lol

I'm a cellist, and I must say, for someone who is playing for the first time, that's sooooo impressive. Out of tune, yeah, but so impressive in the sound. And your bow hold is pretty good, too. It was kind of a relief when you guys got so tired, because it made me feel like I'm strong. 😄
Agreed, from another cellist.
@@leoslego5965 I forgot I had made this comment. 😅
Agreed, from an average person.
Agreed, from a pianist
@Michelle Aurelia It depends, I guess. There's a lot less screeching at the beginning, so that's a plus. Aside from that, I cannot really give you a reference, since I have never played the violin
4:18 ~ it’s like a competition of who’s the more ‘tired old man’
"a real twoset camera never focuses" -- lmao.
||: try | fail :| fail better (da capo) || their next round of merch, they will have a hoodie that says that

twoset violin who? I only know threeset cello
Lol

Sorry asking, what did eddy say in the very beginning of the video? I don't get what he said (english is not my first/second language)
I think you are talking anout Le Cigne which I believe is french for The Swan
@Diana Espinoza-O'Donnell
*Cygne, but you're right, it means "swan". 😊
They were laughing because he mispronounced it... like pretty much every foreign word or name they try to pronounce ! 😅
For those who don't know, "Le Cygne" (The Swan) is an excerpt from "Le Carnaval des Animaux" (The Carnaval of the Animals), which was written "for fun" by the French composer Saint-Saëns.
There are fourteen movements in this composition, each one representing a different animal or animals (including the famous "Swan"). 🤗
2:40
Hyung: that's nice, much better than Brett
Brett: You know, you walk out the door. You see someone that you know, and *they ask you how you are, and you just have to say that you're fine, when you're not really fine,* but you just can't get into it because they would never understand.
Brett got his revenge at the end when performing the piece... 😁
I’m so glad they put this back. This was one of my favourite twoset vids😂
Bet your reading the comments while Eddy's solo goes on for too long...
Lucinda Koulaouzos
... maybe.
Yup its dreadful
You guessed correctly
Yea.
Hahaha npt just me then
Who wants to see Hyung trying to learn violin in 1 hour 🤪🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️
Emojis killed it
yesss
YES!
Plot twist: he already knows how to play violin
plot twist: he is ling ling and already knows how to play every instrument ever created
Why am i seeing no comments abt the fact that editor-san was a cellist-
3:25
what? really??
Ollie???
Ollie is editor-san!!
Was a cellist
Because we all watch on our phones, and can't read it!
7:12 bruh editor-San I love you.... "camera died along with Brett's will to live"
Brett: 13 old man points
Eddy: 14 old man points
Ling ling would be proud
Now that is a shock
Brett sounded better. Eddy had the notes right but was often off
Me: Has been playing cello for 3 years
Brett and Eddy: Play better than me
Me: *crying*
Me too. I never played an instrument before I started playing the Cello - I love it but I really struggle - they are better than I am... even after 1hr - it is a bit depressing really....
That's scary to know :3 I was hoping to pick a violin/cello recently and the only experience I have is a keyboard and uke 😂
SAKSHI PANDAY well if you can read music (from learning piano) and have learned a string instrument before it'll likely be a lot easier than starting with no experience
@@minnowx7099 well if you've never played a string instrument that's why. Those 2 aren't starting from 0. They have years of practical experience.
(as a cellist of 6.5 years) they sounded like they were in book 2 or early book 3 of Suzuki method. (Mostly book two) (but book two doesn't get past 3rd position 😂😂
Your teacher is so chill. I'd be telling you to go home and practice and come back next week.
Luckily you are not a teacher then

Hyung looks fatherly, especially when he put his hand on Brett's and Eddy's head its so cute 😍

Yes :D
Please stop

That painting is hung so high on the wall, it’s practically on the ceiling
I mean, did you see how tall Hyung is?
Shona Thomson but honestly how did I not notice that
Its also crooked
No no the wall is 1/3 white n then there's the ceiling
the painting is hung just below the trim that is 1/3 of way down from the ceiling, so actually not that high at all

The Swan- Saint Saens, The Dying Goose - Brett & Eddy
Honestly, Brett wasn’t that bad. More expression. At least in the beginning. I think he definitely has more bow control than Eddy so it sounded slightly better. But Eddy was pretty decent too actually.
I think eddy hit the righ notes but was often off the notes. And yeah Brett had a better control of the bow
The bow control comes from the fact the Eddy HAS HIS PINKY ON TOP OF THE BOW!!! Big no no. I started off on violin and now play cello and it is a hard change to make, but has a large impact on your playing.
I think Brett’s brother was a cellist, maybe he remembered some stuff from him
