So, these comments are hilarious. First y’all were bashing the old QX80 for being outdated, but now you want it because it has a V8 and the new one has a TTV6? Pick a side. Also, I’m not sure why we’re glorifying the unreliable, outdated, and overpriced piece of junk the LX600 is, considering Toyota is having a bunch of issues with that V6…
It's always like that, people start to like a car when it's not going to be produce anymore but it was hated when new, anyway, the previous QX80 looks more dated than other cars because it was already dated 5 years ago or more, because it was just a restyling from the same generation that came out in 2010. For example, a Hyundai Santa Fe since 2013 had 3 generations and since 2010, 4. (I know they are not the same segment, but it's just a compirison).
dude, if we got the model of QX80 in with the revised dashboard in Australia. It would sell like crazy. Nissan need to understand their audience better. Instead they take away the one thing everyone liked about them and made the interior arguably worse.. haha.
Very correct with that Toyota v6 twin turbo, we get so many come backs for warranty work and even locked motors at 60k miles, so who knows if Toyota will be known for reliability while trying to change what made them so reliable. Now people will see when a company adds more power, more gadgets, it becomes prone to issues compared to the base 4cyl Camry. So if you want boring super reliable then don’t expect all the tech and power that others offer. 180hp engine would be more reliable then a 400hp engine in most cases.
I don't care what anyone has to say, I grew up through the car designs of the 90's, 00's, and the 10's and have always been a massive car guy. Car design in the 20's is becoming rather incredible overall. This new QX is really good looking, especially when comparing to the older models.

I had those two & believe me within the short time I owned them...6 months average...brand new SUVs...they spent 4-5 months at the Dealerships who did nothing to remedy the issues! I went to Infinity. I had the FX 45 a beautiful driving Machine. They discontinued the V8! It drove & sounded awesome! I currently have the 2022 QX 80 Proactive! Truly a dream machine! It brings back the nostalgia of my FX 45. Kids pull up beside me as they did when I was driving my FX 45 & still say....Man that thing sounds awesome! Yes the 2024 may not appeal to those you want a more futuristic SUV but...the 2025 will never have the growl & the confidence afforded the 2024 & older!
I think a N/A V6 in this would be underpowered. A 5.0 V8 with significant power would be nice though, they did something like that with the FX50 for a while. Ford and Lincoln started the trend of turbocharging the engines in their SUVs and pickup trucks in North America, and the Japanese ( Toyota especially) have tried to follow with little to no success.
I don't see the added value in the new one. For probably two mpg better fuel economy, I pay 50 grand more? With our two kids and the dog, the older version seems to be totally sufficient. Yes, I might have to pay a little more in fuel, but I also saved 50 grand to begin with. As somebody who doesn't need all the driving nanny's, I really don't see me going for the new one. I do however like the fridge in the new one. So, all in all, I would have to say, there is just not enough innovation or real added value for me to make me want the new one. If the at least would have added a battery for about 50 miles of range to be able to do shorter round trips, that would have been added value. And how is this brand new top product in any way better than it's competition? I just don't see it. sorry folks, I'm not impressed. Looks like a Cadillac and Land Rover all in one😂
ummm get your eyes checked troll
I like it
Looks exactly the same only different!!! Way BEtTER than the crappy Cadillac & the troubled Range Rover!
So they couldn't just put a smaller na V8 in it like a 4.0-5.0? Even a na V6 or inline 6 would be a nice option.
Unfortunately this car just barely catches up to the current market, but fails to make a case for itself to be either better or more special than the competition. Maybe a case for real Infinity fans. Are there such people?😊
Wasn’t the previous version less reliable than the range rover…..
V8 and old style , that V6 TT will fall apart just like Toyota's ,BMW, Cadillac twin turbo engines.... no one needs this much technology.
Checking on the vq bout to find out
I know the numbers but even tho the old QX80 looks a bit bigger.
That's Tommy's bike! 😂
Somehow they made it uglier
Why do people care about there not being a V8? Its an SUV not a sports / muscle car.
Are people not allowed a preference in your communist playbook?
@@RolandAdams-h4m
What are you on about lol? I’m just asking an opinion. It’s a family car.
Why are you bringing in communism? 😂
@@roguewhisker17 I remember when communists in my former country insisted that everyone drive the same sh1tty car. Just because it is a family car, doesn't mean that one should risk their life by merging highway traffic at a walking speed.
Side profile looks like a lifted van. Nice interior but not a fan of exterior.
Have to see it in person I guarantee you will think twice
Black shinny plastic is always a big no.
The audio is messed up.
I like the new one….price is ok everything is high
Is the new one longer?
Longer and wider

Good luck to Nissan selling these. I wonder which kind of focus group was involved and what is the target market. I guess they hire some people from Stelantis.
The new one looks like a Mitsubishi SUV
