$116k is absolutely insane for a vehicle. I hope these prices come down soon. I would say that this is unreachable for a lot of families in the US. I know that with 4 kids, there is just no way that I could afford this vehicle.
The Nissan Armada is the exact same vehicle with different level of trim and brand badge and will likely range in price from around $50k to $75k depending on trim level. Nissan is for accessibility, Infiniti is for exclusivity. Making that separation is the whole point of having a luxury brand that just rebadges vehicles that already exist.
Prices will never come down. If you are hoping for reduced inflation, that simply means the prices will rise slower. If you dislike that, then support the few candidates who want to end the fed.
April you deserve the best out of life and my goodness you are exquisite top shelf extremely kind on the eyes for sure Tyler is a lucky man and I'm so proud of both of you keep it going
April and Hoovie, I work at an Infiniti dealer and we have had two Escalades traded in for two 2025 QX80 Autograph models. One was a 2022 and the other was a 2020
Way better format for the channel guys. Anything with extra Hoovie time gets my watch. The old vs new is good too so theres no cannibalization between the two channels. Thumbs up
Hi guys. :) Nice to see you. Good show today. That cost! holy cow! Include the insurance and taxes and I'd say it's completely unaffordable for us normal folks. Have a great day
So excited for this change. April just has an unending enthusiasm for the most unique stuff. Kinda like Hoovie. Both of them really have a really quirky way of looking at car.
Thank you!! Thank you!! Love the channel name. You guys listened. AR just had too much connotation with a particular weapon. Keep up with the content. Now the two channels compliment each other.
You guys are so good together, dont care what you call the channel, just keep up the good work. April is definitely a You Tuber now, all the best to bouth of you for now and the future. Your number 1 Fan from South Africa. love you guys keep it up.
I enjoy watching and listening to both of you. You mentioned your sleep temperature issues. You should look into a Sleep Number bed. Specifically the Climate 360. Cools and warms to each person separately.
I really like the previous generation Nissan Armada. I was looking at them but sold my boat and do not need a towing rig right now. Infinity did a great job with the new QX. Like Tyler said, in 4-5 years and I get a new boat, this will be on my radar for a new towing vehicle.
Great review. Love your chemistry! Crazy that $116,255 is the new value proposition. That tech in the car did look amazing though. Tyler is so right about the reliability of those engines. All that fancy tech means nothing on the inside when the engine breaks down. So glad Nissan / Infinity went with upgrading a reliable powerplant vs a whole new design. I hope Toyota is able to iron out their issues with their engines. I have always seen myself as a Honda/Acura and Toyota/Lexus person. My wife and I have a Honda Civic Type R and LOVE it. We also love the Acura Integra Type S. I love the whole GR Toyota line with the GR Corolla, GR Supra and GR 86 and I really think the Lexus IS 500 does not get enough love. When we buy cars we keep them for a while. We are never selling the Type R so when manufacturers put out bad engines that is a big no go for us. With many of these new turbo engines, only time will tell. At least with the GR Corolla a lot of endurance testing was done on that turbo 3 cylinder in the GR Yaris. Keep up the great work!
Positive feedback. I think your auction experience and personality really bring up the channel as well. A great and fun review. Hope the best success for you!
The VR35DDTT in the QX80 is pretty much a bored and stroked VR30DDTT (with changes for SUV application) (found in Q50rs, Q60, new Z has an updated version of that engine etc). Not directly based on the VQ35 but a lot of similarities. The good thing is this engine has more of a VQ35 exhaust note than VR30 powered cars
You need to get the Bedjet system for your bed. My wife and I got setup with them a few years back, and it solved all of the issues with sleeping too hot or too cold. Once you start to use one, you will NEVER want to go back to life without them. They've prevented a lot of arguments about night time temperature, and have been a god send.
APRIL'S GARAGE. LET'S GO! Over $100k, and no V8? That's a Noooooo. God I love 4 year old April, having fun in the Giant Box on wheels. The way she looks so tiny behind the wheel, also made me smile. But you could tell from her face this boat is seriously underpowered. Love ya both ❤
_'April's Garage', and I'm here for it. Honestly, I've been following April Rose long before Hoovie ever even dreamed of being a TH-camr. That said, love them both. Now on to the new Infiniti QX80. (The new Cadillac Escalade IQ in the same configuration looks 1000 percent better)._
I’ve always liked Infiniti, that interior is super dope. They’ve always done great interior design. My 2017 Q60 Redsport 400 has the best interior, silver carbon white leather super soft and supportive seats. They don’t skimp out on the luxury. Too bad the brand isn’t really doing very well.
I think we're going to to learn a LOT more about you two from April's channel. and I'm here for it. (As for the QX80…yes, an "improvement", but still a Mastodon.)
really good review - thanks so much. I was so in the camp of Lexus being the top choice for a new full size SUV purcase - you guys opened my eyes, I think you're right - this vehicle is maybe the best choice right now (Jeep, Chevy and Ford already made the cut list).
In 2016 I test drove a large Infinite SUV. I Loved the drivers seat. Most comfortable and fitted my 5'9" frame better than Ford or GMC. Decided on the FORD Expedition due to Towing capacity and more importantly the torque comes earlier in the RPM Power Band.
Great new channel, good luck. Instead of only giving the MSRP of the high end vehicle's, how bout giving just an average lease number. I know there are many variables that lease costs have, but just an average monthly cost that the dealer you borrow the vehicle from can give you. Thanks for sharing, and stay safe.
Love the name April’s Garage! Garage looks almost as good as April, love the black jacket with those yoga pants, stylish. I would so some high quality large prints, vintage or racing posters along the garage walls, not too many, but ones that are special to you both.
7:22 that is an air curtain, it reduces wheel wake off of the front wheels and smoothens the air down the side of the vehicle love the humor in these videos
I live in Nissan Country here in Franklin where the HQ is for Nissan and 20 miles from the Smyrna Plant, I have seen quite a few of these since they've released. They are way larger and taller than the older ones, possibly even taller than the Escalade but just massive road presence. I agree with on the leasing aspect for it or waiting for used one under $50k, the older ones were tanks and could pile the miles on with very few issues besides standard maintenance. I'd take one with the light interior rather than the black hole, also slightly disappointed it didn't get some nice would trim, like the older M37 or Q70 got back then. I yearn for the days of mid 2000's Infiniti's again, now that I can afford a nice car but they done away with them. My Mother had an older M35X back when I was in high school, glorious car that ran like a top reliably for 200k miles, never even replaced the battery after almost 8 years and quality was unreal padded lower door panels and great leather. Hard to even find great quality like than in 100k plus cars nowadays, my mother still talks about that car 10 years later and a few other luxury cars also including the w212 e250 bluetec she had.
Love it’s not AR Garage and that it’s just plain and simple Aprils Garage! We are on our third Armada as we just purchased a 2024 as they are dirt cheep now with the new one coming out in a few months based off the qX80. I'm with April on the sleeping temp. My wife and I's master bedroom in independently zoned, so we sleep with the room at 61° no matter how hot or cold it is outside.

Haha but that's counter to the theme - Tyler gets the hoopties and April shows the non-hoopties
April is supposed to be the smart chooser and Tyler is the dumb impulsive one as he proudly says :)

I was on the fence about spending over a $100k on a Nissan SUV until April pointed out that sweet umbrella holder…. I’m sold!
7:30: The vents are there to create an air curtain to minimize the aerodynamic drag of the wheel.
Also some say it is for break cooling but not on a big SUV
