I think I said this before people are weirded out about a used mattress but will sleep on a bed at a hotel that hundreds of people have slept on

Also when you request another blanket it has also been used by hundreds of others but is more likely to have been washed. But i really dont get what your implying.

It took me 2 1/2 months to adjust to my new bed. Now it is the most comfortable bed ever. I almost returned it, so glad that I didn’t.

The people saying they would never buy a used mattress must be rolling in money... I got a basically new king bed frame + mattress off facebook for $300 (AUD not USD). I just used a vinegar spray and bi-carb soda to deoderise and get rid of any smells. I put a mattress protector and sheet on it anyway, who cares lol. Do yall bring your own cutlery to a restaurant? Best buy ever!

Always put a new bed bug protector on a mattress even if it's new. You shouldn't have a problem.

Good for you for getting a great deal on the bed! You can tell from the family that you bought it from if it’s clean. There are certainly some homes I’m sure you wouldn’t want to purchase a bed from and obviously you’re wise! Glad it works for your wife. And what a great Aunt you have!!

The benefit of sleep number beds is they come apart and are easy to move. If it’s not comfortable you can add foam inside the bed on top of the air chambers.

Happy to see your Mom again!! Been missing her! I had a friend who bought a sleep number bed and they had it for 2 months and she sold it. Said it was the worst bed she had ever had to sleep on! Had to laugh on the scrabble set that prior to buying it, you actually took the time to repack it properly.
I love my sleep number. The box spring is in 2 pieces and the mattress folds up because you can take out the air bladders. Easier to move than a normal set.
Ice your back Dave. Twenty minutes on every few hours. Do some yoga stretches too. You would be amazed how good you feel doing those stretches.
Walking is the best back reliever 😊
Sometimes, you have to adjust it enough to find your correct sleep number . 50 for me is far too hard . I set mine at 45 . My mum liked hers softer at 35 . Good luck. It was a great deal . I think mine with those same remotes was about $1,400 in 2016. My mother in law has the adjustable base one . Very expensive.

You NEED a mattress pad ontop of the mattress for more comfort. I've gotten used mattresses too.... just get a mattress enclosure if it grosses you out. No one turns down hotel stays and just think what goes on there lol.
I agree, I purchase a 3 inch memory foam topper for all my mattresses and they make any mattress comfortable.
Learned you can have a carpet cleaning company clean it.

Hi try also changing your pillow, like bed and pillow have to balance you body.
I used to have pain on my neck and shoulder but i change my pillow to the brand tempur pedic which is expensive but its worth it.

Unfortunately, in life we live and learn… you can’t do anything about leaving the tools behind, but I’m sure you’ve learned from it! That’s a win! I personally get so over stimulated and overwhelmed at sales too, I’ve also left items behind and had major regrets!

Yes, particularly at "professional sales", cheap things in the garage, expensive in the house. I just sold a set of 11 Wizard of Oz music boxes for $450. Paid $55 in the garage.

You CAN ALWAYS steam clean the bed. I bought a used bed years ago and before my body touched it, I steam cleaned it and put it outside to dry.

Its because of bed bugs ,but you can buy a brand new mattress and get bed bugs. Don't mean that a ised bed does. Also, people sleep on sheets. So they are not sleeping directly on the bed mattress

Get a Temperpedic bed. You can get different versions of the memory foam. From very soft to very firm with many in between. I have a bad back and me and my back love my bed.

I actually got a sleep number, but at the yard sale for $100 it uses the same remote yours has and probably the same pump. It’s queen size but I I really don’t know if I like it and the sad thing is I’ve had it for almost 10 years now some days I wake up and it’s great other days I wake up and my back is so sore. But the nice thing is, I took the top and had it cleaned at the cleaners, disassemble the bed clean all parts independently

How did the slippers go from $1 to $5 ?People that say they'd never buy a used bed I guess never slept in a hotel or a motel huh?
Sleep number mattresses aren't "traditional mattresses" they are air mattresses with an outside pad. They also completely come apart. It is just two air mattresses zipped inside of a shell. I wonder did you just move it as is or did you know and take it apart? I fit my old one in my small honda fit because it breaks down so small.
Sleep number we bought cost lots an if you don't have a King size its not good. Our Queen he sets up say at 45 an I, 55 so feels like Im in a hole if I get close to his side

I bought a used bed and got a great deal. It's no different than sleeping on a hotel bed.
Took 3 months to get used to my new bed.
Nothing wrong with a used mattress as long as it is in decent shape and that one looked brand new. Spray it with disinfectant spray and I vacuum mine then throw a mattress cover on it.

I agree I almost bought a used bed off of Facebook market but it smells like cat pee & cat hair was all over it! I ended up getting a new bed for $900 dollars instead I love it!

This old is not finding fault in what you do or don't do. Why do you think you don't see things when you are there? Myself not being a reseller probably miss lots of great finds but don't know if they would be missed being a reseller. Just thinking and always wondering how situations work out for some and not others. Don't take this as fault finding or arm chair quarterbacking.
I have slept in used beds before. Now that I'm older and could afford a better bed I'm at the point to not get a bigger bed. A larger bed would allow me to get comfy and get fatter and before I know it I'd be a huge person on Dr Nows who. For that reason only I will sleep slightly uncomfortable in exchange for growing to 600+ .😮 Can't do it!!😮

Most people that pay that much for a bed will cover the mattress. We gave away two XL twins that looked like brand new because we cover our mattresses because we have dogs.
