Why do people do that? They see someone looking at something and it's like flies to a light. They have to nudge themselves in there next to you to see what you're looking at. It happens to me at the store too. It's annoying as hell...
I always cringe when Kayla starts "her pile" right in the middle of the other merchandise at a sale and then leaves it unattended while she looks at everything else. Nobody else shopping knows that is "your" pile! It just looks like any other group of goods displayed for shoppers.
Sooner or later someone is going to unknowingly take and buy something while Kayla isn't looking, or else cause an argument when they innocently pick up something they want, not knowing it's already "claimed".
Ask to keep your stuff behind wherever the seller is sitting, or ask for a box so you can carry it with you, or SOMETHING other than leaving it out in the open.
Same! I would suggest a folding wheeled basket that you can tote around and collect your items.
Or bring your own box with a lid and write sold on the top
If she did that she wouldn't have any content
That’s what the seller told her to do. By being cooperative she might have gotten better prices.
I was totally shocked to see her do that, especially considering she's a very seasoned yard sale shopper! There's no way I'd leave my stuff out like that. I guard it like I guard my children. 😂
That sale was a gold mine. They just wanted to get rid of fantastic stuff very reasonably!!!
Glad you took your time!!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️
New boyfriend at the time, went on our first overnight trip together. Let's just say as things were getting heated up, a June bug crawled into my ear. Needless to say, my boyfriend thought he was doing the ultimate i should say, until i fought my way out of the tent. He thought i lost my mind. I was beating the heck out of my head several minutes until the June bug decided to make his way out. Omg i haven't been camping since. And i got rid of the boyfriend that night too.
What I find amazing is the amount of stuff people buy and accumulate and never use! You were showing us things that looked brand new, still in the box! Are they hoarders or compulsive shoppers or both!!
When I yard sale I take my folding wagon and put my stash in it while looking around. I have a sign on it so folks don’t think the wagon or contents are for sale. Makes it nice getting things back to the car as well.
I hate yard sales that don't have prices! You shouldn't have to ask for every single item.
Sometimes you get better deals with things that are not priced because the seller is thinking quickly and doesn't have time to REALLY think about the value. However, I agree with you. I hate asking for every single thing.
And in my opinion you sell less because most people feel that way. If they have to ask, they just pass.
Kayla!!!!!
What a lucky walk up garage sake. Glad you saw that sign. They had so much good stuff. The homeowners were so hospitable too!
@3:50 "Nobody buys sterling any more..." 😮 Omg why can't this be any sale i go to?! 😂
Seriously, my jaw dropped to the floor! 😯
Hahah right?!
Well she meant actual sterling silver utensils 🍴🥄 that the majority of people don’t buy anymore!
They turn it away from pawn shops. Wow.
You are such a super star on your own. You should not forget that! Matt does incredibly well, but you have moved into Men's Stuff with the Harley parts and knives, well out of the range of many women!
When you are with Matt, show him what you can do!!! You roar Woman!
I appreciate people who flip from yard sales ! It helps everyone and the environment 😊🎉❤
It's like watching an artist at work watching you Kayla. You've developed a sixth sense for the quirky, cool, overlooked valuable picks.
Hearing(No pun intended) the story of the bug in your ear reminds me when I worked in the Residency program at the University of Texas Health center and the many ears that I irrigated/ rinsed out. The things that came out besides ear wax & bugs was unbelievable at times. Small children can put all sorts of things in their ears & nose.
Man that garage sale was epic! So many amazing deals.
Thank you, thank you, Kayla. I never bothered looking at flatware before. Found a incomplete set of 26 piece vtg Ekco Etena with wood handles. Bought for $6.50 for all and sold for $65 in 2 days. I'll never pass up looking at flatware again.
You go Gail!!! 🎉🎉
It must be such a great feeling for the yard sale host to have someone like Kayla spend that much time picking. Great finds! Anxiously awaiting the next video
That sterling silver 3 prong big fork is to lift roast or a turkey out of the pan from the oven. There should be another piece that goes with that. Nice find. Dolores
Right!😊
I was drooling over the blue glass set next to your book ends. Next time when you see such an antique glass egg liquor decanter set take it with you, it sells for around 200 or more in good condition 🙂
I wondered what that was! Thanks.
Wow it was beautiful.
I collect those sets. I was yelling at her to get it!!
I know I was like why not the cobalt blue glass! That would have been the first thing I would have grabbed
Loved this sale and the lady was so nice. Great haul girl!
Very possible the blue wine decanter set(1:32) was worth as much as the motorcycle seat was worth.......lots of nice items at this YS!
I wanted to yell, pick it up. Pick it up.
Kayla, I enjoy watching your videos so much. I have learned a ton! I started out with clothes because that’s what I knew but I’m kind of over it. You have given me motivation to branch out into other things and learn along the way.
That bread fork looks like it should be used to carve the Whoville roast beast! 😂
I thought the same thing! ( : Grinch worthy! ( : 🤣🤣🤣🤣
It's not a bread fork...
There were some great items at that sale. I saw a few I would love to have for myself. I’m not a reseller but enjoy seeing what you do.
I’m officially going to sleep with earplugs in now! That bug story was epic! Thanks for making me laugh! 😂
😂😂😂😂
Love the story about getting free shipments. I worked for Harry & David many years ago in customer service. Talk to more than 1 person who ordered a limited amount of items, and got lots of freebies. One ordered 10 frozen turkeys and received 100. She was shocked that I couldn't take them back. Hopefully she took my suggestion to give frozen turkeys to shelters and soup kitchens. And, ewww, bus in the ear? No, thank you!
I worked at a car dealership, and they had a rewards program where you garnered points for certain services/products sold. I collected enough points to purchase a complete LeCrueset cookware set. They ended up sending me three complete sets before fixing the "glich" in the computer.
My mother, aunt, and older married sister had a very Merry Christmas that year.
WOW!!! What a sale!!!! You could have hung out another hour! Great video! Love the extra uploads!!
Get a fold up wagon to put your things in as you shop, they arent heavy and they dont take up a lot of room in your car......works great and you don't have to carry things around or lose items to other shoppers.
Good idea! I can't believe someone took something from Kayla! Sooo rude! ) :
Bug in the ear story…another reason for me not to go camping other than it’s too much work. Great yard sale…I love your channel.
Omg! The beetle in the ear story was r too much lol! U r too funny Kayla & definitely becoming my favorite you tube reseller to watch!❤
Wow, what a great yard sale!!!! And those knives! Great finds!
That was my kind of yard sale such great stuff and nice people I would go back tomorrow and try to get some more deals lol thanks for taking us with you looking forward to the next video
This was a misleading title. I spent the whole video waiting for someone to take your stuff. She couldn't really separate the seat from the bike. Great yard sale though. The seller was lowballing everything and then I guess she figured you were a reseller and started to go up on her prices.
I agree
Love the Jasper ware especially the Blue! I have Wedgwood Queensware Cream on Lavender which looks similar to Jasper ware. We use it for Spring and summer Sunday dinners and do still use sterling flatware, too. Keep looking for those and I will buy them! Love your videos!!
Do people ever get upset or annoyed when they find out you are going to resell? I was nervous when that woman was asking you about it😂
I've seen people on these types of videos get upset and it makes zero sense! If people want top dollar for their items, a yard/garage sale is *not* the way to go. The benefits to a yard/garage sale are selling large amounts of clutter in just a day or two vs sitting on the items until or if they sell, getting cash that you do not have to mess with come income tax season haha, not having to spend time researching the value of every single item, no time spent listing each item individually, not having to pay listing fees to list each item, not having to pay seller *and* PayPal fees on each item, not having to spend time shipping each item, not having all the expenses of shipping (multiple trips driving there/actual shipping prices/buying boxes/buying all the packing supplies like tape and bubble wrap/etc), not having to constantly check on all your listings and respond to all questions/low-ball offers, not having to deal with people that win/buy your item and then do not pay, not having to deal with people that want to return items after doing all that work, etc. So many people think re-sellers do nothing to earn money, yet they have tons of time and money invested in how they earn money!
It really makes sense to spend time at a sale like that- even if you miss some other sales!!!
Dear Kayla Thank you for your wonderful videos as I recover from surgery. You put a smile on my face. Jan from Florida
Your hands look like they are working independently of each other at times. 😂 funny!
Hi Kayla what a great yard sales that was, so many nice things. You really score big as always!! Thanks for sharing another great video today!! Blessings take care, can't wait till the next one. Blessings.Your friend Joyce from California HUGS 🫂 🤗 💖
I love how respectful you are.
This might just be the coolest garage sale that I’ve seen!
They had such neat, unusual stuff! Love that for you!
I will say that I don’t think I would’ve been able to pull myself away for a while longer though so that I could be certain that I’d seen every little thing!
Amazing scores! Good for you!
Fantastic haul Kayla! That sale had everything ❤
Great yard sale. They had some different stuff. You found some cool things. Thanks for sharing 🥰
My son was on his front porch and got a moth in his ear. So it doesn't matter if you're camping or not. He probably had a light on and being drawn to it accidentally went in.I tried to flush it but he kept feeling it flutter. From me trying to flush it, it finally must have drowned but the emergency room nurse got it out with more flushing 😳 and it was a big sucker!!
There is an episode of The Middle where the youngest kid gets a moth in his ear. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. You tube it, it's hilarious.
Ugh!! Sooo awful!! I would lose my mind with a bug in my ear! ) :
They're going to be calling you for a tv show girl if you keep this awesome attitude up; which we all adore out here. You could write a picking book how you began and your rising success. Keep up the great fun hard work even my husband likes watching & Matt does have a great eye too like my better half does. Hello from North Cakalacky
Kayla I love to watch you pick!! You have such a good eye for cool stuff!!❤
What a sale. You handled that way better than I would have. ❤
Amazing finds. I'm coming to Kentucky to shop with you!
As for the bug story, you have given me yet another reason to hate being outside. I don't like bugs to begin with, but now I have a serious case of creepy crawly yuck happening!!
Oh my gosh she's in Kentucky I didn't know that I live in Kentucky and I love yard sales!
As always, you rocked it Kayla! Well done!
I have learned a lot from you this past year n a half watchn every video you have made. I learned the thumbnail of this one should be titled "Never go Campn Again!"... keep em coming!!
Great finds Kayla!! ❤
What an amazing yard sale!!! What dreams are made of lol. All the Harley stuff and other super cool items!
Such cool stuff. I’m guessing almost anything marked Harley Davidson is a score. You’re really broadening my knowledge for reselling. Thanks so much!
I never new Davidson came from Scotland .
Just subscribed to you today im from Yorkshire england spent all day watching youre video's im loving them youre great to watch full of enthusiasm cheer my day up thank you.
I would have bought a whole lot more at that sale. They had some some really premium stuff there.
Kayla you have a sweet way with people, great haul🥰
I can't believe you passed up the silverware set!!! Lol!! Great finds! I cannot believe all the stuff you found!!!
I'm glad you were honest that you're going to re-sell.
I've seen too many videos where sellers say something like "it's for my kid"...lol
I don’t think it’s really anybody’s business what you plan to do with something. Kind of a rude question in my opinion..
I learn so much watching your videos…..always great!!
I'd say that was an awesome haul everything was a great deal and should flip quickly! Thanks for sharing.🥰
Kayla wow great buys great yard sale 😊
What a GREAT haul Kayla!!!!
she rightfully took that seat, unless you were prepared to fork out at least 200 for it,there are good deals and then is just dishonesty!
Loved this seller! She had led an exciting life!
Wow !! What a sale !! She has great stuff that's crazy!
Thanks for sharing! Love your videos!!
New sub here 😊 There were a couple of blue glass pieces on the first table you stopped at that I might have grabbed. But I love that you shop for a variety of things! Can’t wait to see more of your videos ❤ ps. LOVE the wiener dog bookends!!!! 🐶
I love that you buy everything❤❤❤
I bought a basket that looks like a laundry basket a few years ago, that has wheels on one side and a handle on the other side. It cost about $6, and holds a lot. I have never used it to yard sale, but it would work great for that.
Years ago, brother in law had a spider in his ear and it laid eggs...to listen to you tell your story reminded me if that. What a nightmare😮
Aaaahhhhhhh!!! I’ll take my beetle 😂 nightmare indeed. Nothing like it
@@thehomeschoolingpicker😊
Dear god, that is nightmare fuel. 😳
I woke up to the sound of something in my ear.. im hoping it was a nightmare.. I haven't heard it since...
Please let it be a nightmare, lol
Please dear Lord, get a box to contain your treasures and don’t leave the box right in the middle of the sale! This stresses me out
Great haul!!! ❤❤❤
Yep. Okay to pay up for one item when you're buying a lot of other stuff that will turn good profits!! Great scores, Kayla. You and Matt are becoming my favorite TH-camrs. Y'all are teaching me a lot about things to look out for besides vintage items - which is what I currently flip. Very inspiring! Thank you!!!
Another fantastic video. Keep them coming 😊🤗😘
You have such a good eye for things. Loved the video!
bless her heart she said "good for you" when she asks if you resell.
Wow! What a fantastic sale! Curious if you went back the 2nd day?😊
I've been picking up Deneen Pottery mugs for the last couple of months now. They sell super quick for a really good price!
LoI am never going camping ! And a woman took something valuable out of my basket too as the seller had put it next to her cashing up point!
Young lady I literally felt your pain when you told your bug in your ear story. When I was 8 yrs old a brown dog tick crawled in my ear & of course went as deep down in my ear as it could possibly go and hid so that my Dr couldn't see it, ever! My mom took me to the Dr every 2 weeks for 13 weeks trying to get me well & my "ear infection" gone hence we were going on vacation to Hot Springs Arkansas to see our family & go to the lake that they lived right down the from but with an "ear infection" I wasn't going to be allowed in the lake water. I still had the terrible ear ache on vacation but got to go to the lake anyway & get in the water as long as I didn't get water in my ear, but being 8yrs old, with all older cousins & brother, one tossed me in the lake & under I went. When we got back to my Aunt's house I was in terrible pain, so my Mom got me a Dr appointment in Hot Springs. Before we left to go, my aunt got her flashlight to look down in my ear & could see something MOVING AROUND! She got her tweezers & pulled a big, fat brown dog tick out of my ear! Instantly the pain went away! She put the tick in a little jar with a lid & took me to the Dr. He gave me a tetanus shot & a bottle of ear drops antibiotics, and my ear never hurt again. ❤. Some day I'm going to write a book telling all the things that have happened to me because most are unbelievable but thank goodness my mom took pictures or a video of everything that happened. Therefore, I can include pictures in my book lol ✌️.
Thank you for another great video and story about your camping, your bugs life of living in your ear😮❤
😅😂😂😂😂😂I understand it seems some of us are destined for trauma 😜🤓
@@jeffcole1914 hahaha! Ain't that the truth! I'm not sure it is drama in my life or more of trauma 🤣. I'm only kidding, I nor anyone else ever died when something crazy happened like the goat bucked my daughter off then drug her because she was hooked to her horn 🙌. Anyhoo have a great day or night, and I'm happy I made you laugh 💖
@@TurkeyCreekGal Had the tick buried into your inner ear wall and sucked blood? In other words, was it swollen from sucking your blood? This is a horrific story!
Kayla, you have a great eye for a lot of stuff. I watch you pick stuff up that I would do the same
my daughter had a bug in her ear and had an 8 hour drive home. She thought it was just water, but could hear it crawling and it just went deeper and deeper. She is an ER nurse and NEVER takes a little ear pain lightly! The video her husband took is gross and priceless. The doctor was slightly annoyed until he was victorious with his find! Yours being crunchy is icky....I have heard how painful it is...
I look forward to Thursday's just to watch your videos but it's great to have the recent bonus videos
Yes!
That was a hard sale to leave. So many of their things seemed brand new. You got t great haul.
That was a fun and profitable sale! Thanks for sharing.
I don’t even have garage sales anymore because I feel like all people do is come there just to buy something cheap to turn on and resell it. And I don’t feel like giving you a deal when I can sell it myself. And it’s even worse when the people want to bar down to the cheapest amount as a check in eBay as they’re standing there it’s like used to be a garage service so you could buy something used for yourself or for your family and now it’s a whole different rig. No thanks. I’ll resell it myself. They think they’re helping others, don’t realize what’s going on.
Another brilliant Garage sale, did I sky you wearing a new ring on your right hand ? Love to you and Matt K🇬🇧❤❤❤
It’s a $7 special 😂
🤣🤣❤❤@@thehomeschoolingpicker
Amazing finds ! Hope you went back for half off sale !😍
Gr8 haul from this sale..😮 The knives were such a good deal..😍 Love the NOS Harley Davidson items also the gloves/boots woud of been good buys too..😢 Take care..👍💕🔥👊
Girl... when you were looking at the orange tracker, I saw a ring. Is that new??? I hope you went back the next day, maybe they would have come down on some of their prices. Wish I had your confidence, maybe I could sell some stuff. I do love watching your videos, thank you for them. ❤ ❤
Hi Kayla im texting all the way from Ireland i just love watching your videos we don't have any garage sales here i love the way you find all the good stuff take care 😊
I know I’m in Ireland too, no yard sales 😢
In Holland also. We don’t have that here 😢
Gosh, no garage sales! That's no fun! Why do you think that's the situation in Ireland and Holland?
Where do you all get rid of the stuff you don't want anymore?
@@daisyblooms4813 we take it to the charity shops( used stores) they are much smaller than the ones in the states but you can find some good things but not yard sale prices
Love watching you yard sale picking. I think I would be asking for a lower price on items and get to a price you think is fair. Harley gloves I would have offered $6.00 no more than 8 and still would have made a good profit on. But of course, you know what you're doing Love this.
My friend did face mugs for deneen pottery for their Renessance festival!
Wow that was a great yard sale. You did so good.
loving the extra content
I am so spoiled now I want to see you and Matt together in every video. I adore you both.
Dude, I wanted to ask where's Matt? Happy to see your videos!
I went to a charity table sale they called it. They were selling Walmart stuff more than it was at Walmart! It was stupid and sellers were talking loud to each other…saying people were cheap. I was pissy lmao I said far from cheap but to sell Walmart crap for more than it sold at the store is pathetic. I said should have just asked for donations and scrap the trash.😂😂Anyways they made no money we all just left.
Kayla, Always take one of your big plastic bags to put small things in. When you are ready to pay then you take everything out, Always tell the seller what you are doing.😊
Awesome finds, missed seeing Matt with you
I love how cool she was about re selling ❤️
Great finds! 😊
