Jonty and Donald - lethal combination.
Jonty redefined the job of a fielder. He took cricket from a sport where you don't get your whites dirty, to a sport where even the easiest single had to be earned.
Today, what Jonty did should be standard to make the team. Back then, Jonty was the benchmark.

You could make a top 100 of this video and still had clips to spare, Johnty was so good at this that opposing batsmen avoided hitting the ball to wherever he was but great bowlers such as Donald and Ntini could manipulate a bowl so that a batsman would have had no choice but to hit the ball in such a way that a fielder could go for a run-out if possible.

Jonty was so good, batsman would hesitate when he got the ball, which just made him more deadly. You can see Lara hesitated when he saw Jonty had the ball, he knew he was a goner.
