This is clearly some professional work! It looks way better than anything on the market. Those ingots look great! Oh how I wish to have the time and space to do stuff on this level, for now I have to make due with my TKOR charcoal furnace and a small electric furnace in my parents garage ... apartment live...😅 I subscribed and belled for more, I'll be watching 👍👊
Thanks a lot for your nice comment! Very much appreciated. :) I understand it's a matter of priorities, slowly but surely you can make almost anything you want. Thanks for watching and subscribing!
Hi just subscribe to your channel, just what I was looking for .Your video on making a foundry do you have details on the material you use if possible I would be very thankful. Gaetan
Thanks a lot! I'm using a liquid hardener, I bought it on a spanish website where I also got the fibre blanket, there is no brand or anything on it. The forge works perfectly also without the hardener, its main function is to make the ceramic fibre last longer.
A bit late, but here: Big bell: 1,5" x 3/4" Small bell 3/4" x 1" Pipe in betwen: 3/4" diameter, about 20 " lenght Feel free to reply for further questions!
It's ceramic wool fibre, probably the best or at least one of the best insulating material, it is used for commercial furnaces too any many other applications in which you need to keep the heat up
Hi! I got it from a spanish website which I bought the fibre too on. It come as a dense liquid which has or should be diluted with water. There was no brand on it unfortunately, only a technical tag.
Hi. I made ingots because I like the way they look and also, since it took me a couple of weeks to make the furnace I needed to make a fast molt and cast. Ingots are also pretty good to be used in future projects! :)

what kind of flux do you use?
A spoon of borax once the metal is molten and another one just before casting!
Whats that white like wool thing??
