I use JBCO on the morning of wash day. Massage it in my scalp and brush it through my hair, put it in flat twists or a bun, and then wash it out in the evening and do regular wash. 👍🏽
Jane Carter nourish & shine is the ultimate wash n go finisher. It adds shine, moisture, softens the crunch, makes my hair feel amazing for days & without it my wash n go’s just aren’t the same or last as long. I love this stuff. Thanks LA for putting me on girl, it’s been life changing ❤️
@ Lori Anne- LOL @ Grandma hairs. My daughter calls my gray hairs granny hairs. I like to SOTC with either straight jojoba oil or the Ecoslay Moonshine oil.
Heeey came looking for y'all on Friday night. Thought, It's Mother's Day weekend, preparing!! Hope your Mother's Day, was full of hugs, love and care!!! Enjoyed watching tonight. Thanks LA for the tips and hacks for those edges/grays .
yes, I apply a butter on after my style is complete to kind of lock everything in and block out the humidity ... but only a dime sized amount for my entire head. I have bra strap length hair and I’m more in the 4 category for hair typing.
Hello ladies. I missed not having a LIVE this weekend. Belated happy Mother's Day, Lori Anne. I love a lot of the same products that were mentioned. TFS.
JBCO it is indeed the best oil yes it is sticky it does have a particular smell BUT the benefits are amazing!!! I use it in so many ways and it works!!! it gives life to our curls👍👍 by the way...you both are so entertaining funny and helpful!!! Thank you for all your tips💌💌
Great video ladies!! I really need to try the As I Am JBCO refresher spray. I really enjoy the Cream of Nature Coconut Milk Leave In spray as a refresher and also the SheaMoisture Coconut leave in treatment spray. Mad Curls actually taught me how to refresh. Another leave in condish I use as a refresher is UFD Midnight Train. 😀💕
I love the As I Am JBCO water. It’s the only refresher I use. My favorite oils are JBCO (either sunny isle or Jamaican Mango and Lime), argan oil, and the TGIN tea tree serum. I’m just now getting into edge control but I’ve been loving TGIN’s new green tea edge control. I have the Cantu wax stick but I think I need to play with it more because it just made my edges feel oily when I used it
Lori Anne wow you’re so lucky having only that little gray patch. You have me cracking up! I’ve been getting grays since I was in my 20s because of both my parents who started young as well. I have to dye mine though. I will be 40 in July. Love you both.
My favorite refreshers are uncle funky's daughter defunk spray (after a workout and not ready for a wash day this stuff smells lovely), or jane carter solution leave in spray I use to soften my hair mid week also smells glorious. I tried as I am JBCO water spray and it didnt quite do it for me. But I dont believe in wasting so I will see long term how I can put it to use! Love your videos!
Whitney Smith for the jbco water spray, I would recommend just using it when you want to dampen your hair in place of water! Never used it, but that’s how I would try to make the most of a product like that.
I have low porosity 3B and I LOVE the shea yogurt by Alikays but I only use it as a moisturizer so when i do twist or quick braid out but not as a styler or sealer with a wash and go because then its too heavy but its perfect for protective styling or adding moisture to the hair!
Curious about the JBCO water as a refresher. Just got the Nourish and shine. Will be using it soon. Reminds me of an old school pomade. Love this video.
That soultanicals Twist n Assist Cream/Butter is in my top three favorite twist/braid out products to use. The dentition, shine and HOLD (I’m still amazed by creams with hold) are unmatched to me. If you like to twist/braid out your hair please try it at least once.
I only use oils the day before I wash my hair as an oil treatment. I’ve been refreshing with water only until day 4 then I add a moisturizer/leave-in and gel and wash 🧼 n day 7. I’m not sweating in my scalp like when I was doing a manicure re intense workout so I’ve tweaked my routine.
Talking about hair butters : LauriAnn might do well with heavy butters because she is high porosity though she is 3B. Low porosity hair usually does not do well with heavy butters.
I do that. After I diffuse my hair I will go in with jbco and scrunch it in. There is no crunch with my hair products I just like to scrunch in oil or the Jane carter nourish and shine then I’ll pineapple and wear my hair wrap all day. The scrunching in oil or butter is a habit and not due to crunchiness of a product since I’m not at all heavy handed like I use to be in the beginning of my hair journey.
I just discovered your channel a week ago and have binged SOOO much 😁😁 I would love to know how you two lovely ladies feel about the Original Moxie brand! Please, please review! Also the just nutritive brand 🙏🏽🙏🏽 they're both “crunchy” brands 🤗
Lorianne, I stalk the Soultanicals website and I have not seen Barbie Bling. I am on the hunt, so if y’all can tell me where I can get it, that would be great! Thanks for the video. Your talk throughs are priceless! 😊
What I usually do with those spray bottles that can don’t mist. I empty the contents into my water mist bottle. It does the trick with most refreshers and saves my hands. You can add water to the thicker ones
I like the oil from Africa pride the 5 essential oil blend the smell is amazing and the other one purple / pink bottle the bottles if shampoo are squared looking you can buy it at CVS I can't remember bthe name but it smells good
LOL! You know me, Taylor Anne! These long behind product names... 🙄🙄🙄 My favorite products are oils (self-mixed, or growth oils from Soultanicals, Alodia Haircare, and AfroVeda), and distilled or spring water to refresh. I also like Shea Moisture's Lush Length Lite Leave-In as a refresher.
I stopped using the b leave in for deva curl because of the scandal. Some of my hair strands are wirey and I dont use heat, or hair dye on my hiar. Im not sure if it the was deva curl b leave in or not. Its the only deva curl product i used and it was my holy grail for finishing my hair
I think butters are better for high porosity hair, which would make sense then if LoriAnne loves them and why it's too much for TaylorAnne! Low porosity hair is more prone to build up, whereas high porosity people can just slap on more and more products! I can't do butters either, because I'm low-med porosity! Hope this helps!
well i have seen some people who spoke up say they had the same issue with the stylers and never used the wash day stylers.I do think it's funny EVERYTHING from devacurl is on sale on ulta.com
I use oils to detangle before washing my hair also. I don’t think hair type is as important as porosity and if your hair is fine, medium or coarse. Hair typing is just to describe the size of your actual curl.
Wouldn't be a M.A.D.CURLS video without Jane Carter Nourish and shine!!!!
Just saw another comment that saud the same thing haha
I love! the fact that you and your mother are working together on youtube. That a blessing.
The new Briogeo Dont Despair Oil is really good
I use JBCO on the morning of wash day. Massage it in my scalp and brush it through my hair, put it in flat twists or a bun, and then wash it out in the evening and do regular wash. 👍🏽
Love your sense of humor Ladies!

Castor oil plus hemp oil is a good combo!

I love the As I Am Jamaican black castor oil wster. I use it the same way as Lori Ann
Loc n roll 😍 it’s hard to catch because it sells out so fast since they make it so rarely. I got mines after waiting for months 🙌🏾

I bought the curlmix unscented serum and it went bad or got a bad smell after a few weeks. I never had that happen with any other serums.
I can’t find the barbie bling anywhere!!!!!
Is it good to use oils at night when your hair is wet
Missed the live happening. Were they on zoom on Friday?
loved the video ladies!
Can you guys please review organigrow hair co??

Thank you Ladies!

Kiah Lammi I’m low porosity and don’t experience build up when I use a butter. I’m just not heavy handed.

Taylor be careful, Lorianne looks like she about to swipe that Miche Oil :)
