    I live in Geneva, as anywhere cost of living looks different for tourists and residents. With time you adapt and find multiple ways to minimize costs. Many great things are actually for free or quite affordable.
    For example, the district I live (Grand Saconnex) sets up an ice skating ring every year which is free. You only need to rent ice skating shoes if you don’t have them for 5 franks, you can use them whole day. There is music, food and wine very affordable. And there are plenty of such things to enjoy. I love Switzerland!

    Coming from a chef, generally having storebought mince burgers medium is a health hazzard due to it being ground raw, but in many resturaunts what we usually do is get the meat and sear the outside and then chop the seared bits off so it reveals the raw meat inside and then we mince it. This is due to the bacteria only being on the surface as storebought minced hasnt been cooked immediately the bacteria is all over it but when its freshly ground and immediately cooked it is perfectly safe.

      That is the best thing about Switzerland. Nobody would steal in a shop as they can afford to buy their things.
      Most relaxed people in the world.
      You could not escape with one super expensive bottle anyway. It is all narrow streets and uphill, downhill and curvy.
      The police would stop you on car or by foot and most likely you would fall and brake the bottle.

    As a man who went to Switzerland before, I understand why this video was a cash-grab!! I went to bern and it was SOOOOO FANCY!!! There were entire macaron stores!! I wen to one and bought a single macaron for $20!!|

    • @Avarage.Joe-David
      @Avarage.Joe-David ปีที่แล้ว

      😂😂 why?
      If you want macarons you go to France and get them there. Or at least next to the boarder.
      + I can’t believe you, bern is a affordable city compared to the city’s in the north like Zürich. So I would think 5-8 CHF for a really fancy filled macaron.

    • @modpopindie
      @modpopindie ปีที่แล้ว +1

      bern is actually pretty alternative (exept the diplomatic aerias), and you get a whole box of macarons for 20CHF, we call them Luembugerli and they are a bit different to the ones in france, fancy but it's a treat, not an every day thing
