I'm still shocked at just how bad this place was, worse than Pisa - what do you reckon? Getting closer to 50k subs now, so make sure you check you're definitely subbed! Some people don't realise they haven't actually clicked it, cheers!
When I was 7 or 8, I visited this boring place, there was no rope around it then, I was desperate for a piss, so pissed on one of the Rocks! Happy memories of a rather boring tourist attraction!
Ed if you found Stonehenge a little too exciting, you should try Vindolanda in the North of England. I went there a couple of years ago in January, I should have checked first, but the museum was closed. I spent an hour walking round the ruins with the rain coming in horizontally. I think you'd love it mate 😂.
So Tenerife and Stonehenge are both places with lots of rubble, though the latter is more boring. "Here it is from a distance now, it's the same really but just further away." hahahaha
Could have saved money buying a combined Bus and Entry ticket from one of my colleagues! Yeah it’s only a couple of £ but still and nice to see my house in the video lol 😂
Another awesome video Ed. Whenever i feel down with life i just watch you and then i feel better you are so funny without even meaning to be. Thanks mate!
as someone from Salisbury I have to say it was nice to grow up. In terms of Stonehenge, its more about how is got there as opposed to the actual stones. nice to see you in my hometown though
I sort of felt that way when I went to Stonehenge 20 years ago. There was no exhibition hall then. Stonehenge was right on the side of the road. It was a little anticlimactic to be honest. It looks better set up now.
Little tip for anyone going to stone henge, don't pay. You can stay outside of the barrier and see 98% exactly the same things as those inside it. The only difference is you won't be able to read all the little signs, but you can easily google them.
Hi Ed, I really enjoy your videos. They're amongst some of the most wholesome content I watch on this accursed platform. By way of thanks I'd like to recommend you go and listen to a song called Stone Henge by the band Ylvis (spoiler its about stone henge but much more fun than the actual thing) Hope you're having a nice day :)
Totally agree with you Ed! I was really excited about going but it felt quite underwhelming. Stretched it out by walking up to the stones rather than taking the bus but while it was cool to have seen the stones, once you've looked at them for a few minutes there's not much else to do. 😅 It was absolutely heaving with tourists when I went and I too never realised you couldn't actually get close to the stones. It's got cool history but it just felt like a really overpriced tourist attraction (which it is) rather than a spiritual experience. I'm glad I went and experienced it for myself, got some pics of the stones etc but I wouldn't go again!
I always wanted to visit Stonehenge - so I am so glad you made this hilarious video - Stonehenge really is a little bit sh*t! LOL! Another banging video mate, and thanks from saving me a wasted journey and time to Stonehenge 😂😂😂
The worst tourist attraction in the UK is England's most easterly point.... Accompanied by the worst seaside town in Suffolk! Can you believe that Top Gear actually turned up here once!
I've been there a few times when driving to cornwall and all the times I've been there I've been too early or too late and it's been closed - so I've given up and now I just see it when I drive past.
Using your revolving idea, perhaps having it revolve at walking speed so it looks the same wherever you are walking round it would be amusing, also making it inclusive for those mobility impaired visitors who can just park up in their chair and watch! 🤔 You reminded me of when I went to New York my guide book suggested catching the Staten Island ferry to see the Statue of Liberty for free and to avoid the tourists... Maybe taking a bus/Uber along that road is the English equivalent?! 😂
Actually the stone circle and stones used to be in good condition but people in the past stole, damaged and destroyed them to use the stones for building homes etc
Haha. I live in Amesbury next to Stonehenge and totally agree. I took some South Indian guests there once who had never been to the UK before. They were so polite about it but you could see the disappointment in their faces. When I eventually got them to be honest about what they thought, they did say how disappointed they were, and were expecting a lot more. 😂
I think it's a fascinating place and holds lots of questions that we won't ever likely have answered As an outright tourist destination it's probably not the best . But from an historic view it's pretty amazing . Everything down there is overpriced so I think that doesn't help the overall experience
I live about an hour from Salisbury and we go there 2 or 3 times a year. Nice town, lovely cathedral and a cracking market. Took the family to Stonehenge once, about 5 years back. I consider it done now. If you’d examined the visitor centre more closely you’d have found a room with a Bond villain type, laughing maniacally while chucking all the £23’s people have spunked on seeing a pile of rocks…
I thought it was alright like, but it's the bit where they force you to walk near to the footpath where you can see it for free that got me. Just rubbing in that you've paid for something you could have seen for nowt.
I have been there twice .. I think it’s absolutely amazing.. but I do get what you are saying.. half the people I went with are of the same opinion as you .. I think it depends on how much you like history.. and this history 101
I'd suggest go to Avebury instead, or go to Woodhenge (free) then park up in Larkhill and walk down to the stones, you can use the free public right of way which is really just behind the path you have to walk on anyway
Tbh Ed I think you'd need to go when the summer solstice is happening. I at first was like you but once I actually experienced it, I got why many people found it so spiritual.
I feel your pain Ed! I went once and I felt like it was a big waste of time and money just for a bunch of rocks which you can see from the road while driving past them!!
I used to pass Stonehenge on my commute - never grew tired of it personally. It's no Colosseum but it is a pretty impressive piece of history. Then again you are probably right that Salisbury Cathedral is a better attraction
I went on a school trip in the seventies we jumped allover it scratch are names in it had lunch on it ,victorians used to chip bits off and take them home but I now believe it has great energy
It's a legendary spot for summer sulstice. What it really needs is real druids, some weed and Hendrix on a stack of Marshall amps. That'll get people down.
I'm still shocked at just how bad this place was, worse than Pisa - what do you reckon? Getting closer to 50k subs now, so make sure you check you're definitely subbed! Some people don't realise they haven't actually clicked it, cheers!
Underrated channel mate you are funny

"You are literally french" 😂😂😂 those comments are what I subscribe for
😢😂😢😂😢😂😢😂😢😂😢😂😢😂😢 Soooooo funny 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
‘It’s like a Tetris graveyard’ is the best and most accurate description of Stonehenge I have ever heard.
The best way to see Stonehenge is in your car on the A303!
the French knew to be quiet when big Ed walked past 🤐
Dude, go to Avebury instead.
It's free, and you can go right up to the stones.
Grand designs impression was On Point Ed!!! hahahaha
Stone henge is a good piece of british history, but Ive got to admit the price just to see a bunch of stones is insane
“You’re literally French” is the most real thing I’ve ever heard😂
When I went about 15 years ago I swear you could go closer than what you can now, there wasn’t a bus to them
yeah you could. my mum said the exact same and i remember going closer to them i was younger
Yep. Like as recent as 10 years ago I think. Free ish car park, went under a tunnel i think and tiny shop and no cafe. Life was simpler back then.
"who's counting, me I'm counting" lol that made me giggle
‘ Put a little cafe inside ‘😂🤣🤣😂🤣 Ed crack’s me up
He is well funny 🤣😂
We pulled up in the car park decided we had seen it and drove off again 🙈
“Finished game of jenga” 😂 - classic. 👍
When I was 7 or 8, I visited this boring place, there was no rope around it then, I was desperate for a piss, so pissed on one of the Rocks! Happy memories of a rather boring tourist attraction!
I quite like Stonehenge. Decent walk up from the car park, some old rocks and the museums quite interesting.
Ed if you found Stonehenge a little too exciting, you should try Vindolanda in the North of England. I went there a couple of years ago in January, I should have checked first, but the museum was closed. I spent an hour walking round the ruins with the rain coming in horizontally.

Another brilliant video and shame I didn't see you up there last weekend.
Cheers Chris!

Another awesome video Ed. Whenever i feel down with life i just watch you and then i feel better you are so funny without even meaning to be. Thanks mate!
Loved the grand designs impression 😂
Same it sent me 💀🤣🤣🤣
as someone from Salisbury I have to say it was nice to grow up. In terms of Stonehenge, its more about how is got there as opposed to the actual stones. nice to see you in my hometown though
I liked Salisbury a lot from what I saw!
Great video man i love it keep the good work a lot of love from croatia to your channell🔥🔥😁
Thank you!
100% agreed with you on this one. There are similar (less complete) stone circles you can see for free in the peak district.
You can see stone henge for free on the somer sulstice and get up to the stones + great atmosphere
Wayy the legend is back love your stuff man 🔥🔥
I sort of felt that way when I went to Stonehenge 20 years ago. There was no exhibition hall then. Stonehenge was right on the side of the road. It was a little anticlimactic to be honest. It looks better set up now.
Another brilliant post!
Another banger, Ed! Loving this kind of content 🤩

Glad you posted this. I live really close but now i shall not visit 😂
My Uncle works at the English Heritage 😂 so I found this so funny
Glad someone else sees it how I do 😅
Hi Ed, I really enjoy your videos. They're amongst some of the most wholesome content I watch on this accursed platform. There's a public footpath that runs along next to stonehenge for free 😂
60 quid js to go inside an d touch a stone is mad lol
A pile of rocks is the definition of a tourist trap, like the giant's casualway.
'It’s like a Tetris graveyard’ 😂
I always wanted to visit Stonehenge - so I am so glad you made this hilarious video - Stonehenge really is a little bit sh*t! LOL! Another banging video mate, and thanks from saving me a wasted journey and time to Stonehenge 😂😂😂
Haha thank you!
Not many people know this but the ancient builders were going to make a spa for the elite but bodged the job, took the money and scarpered.
Please go visit baggots castle in Coventry. It's literally a couple of rocks in some mud
Been here and done the same thing as you my friend and I back you on this one haha. Good and funny video man
Definitely much smaller than I thought it would be. Great review video. Funny and interesting. xx
Tetris graveyard 🤣🤣 what a comment. I have never thought of going to Stonehenge as it doesn't interest me. Great video
I loved visiting Stonehenge, even got a "Stonehenge ROCKS" shirt 😂😂
In rush hour that road is very busy, people slowing down to look at them
That’s saved me wasting money going there then LOL.
Should I make the effort to see the hand dryers 🤣
The worst tourist attraction in the UK is England's most easterly point.... Accompanied by the worst seaside town in Suffolk! Can you believe that Top Gear actually turned up here once!
Another banger Ed top man 🎉🎉🎉🎉
TLDR - trip was very expensive and he was not interested in the thing at all 😂😂
Absolute class as always 😂
The closest I've been to the Stones is driving past on the A303.
The most interesting thing about Stonehenge is the scene from Spinal Tap 😂
I've been there a few times when driving to cornwall and all the times I've been there I've been too early or too late and it's been closed - so I've given up and now I just see it when I drive past.
they started at stonehenge and thought not bad!!!! and then they said " come on lads eygypt to do".

Ive just subscribed and liked i didnt realise i wasn't already lol. 😂❤
People fly from all around the world to see that. Madness
Crazy isn't it
😂😂😂 brilliant video, maybe should of spent the money going to wales where the stones are from! 🤷♂️ can at least touch them then 😂
Bullied from a distance by the French - literally The South of England 😂
Always a good day when Ed uploads 🙏

Went there in the late 90's, and got a hot dog as well as food poisoning.
This is me seeing the Grand Canyon at 15… o look a hole in the ground 😂. I was bitter from driving in the desert for a week to be fair
It needs a Greggs and a Wetherspoons slapped in the middle. Maybe 15 Costa coffee places on the walk up.
So glad you made this video because after watching it I don’t think it’s worth it at all especially the price and what’s there , love your content Ed
I think it's a fascinating place and holds lots of questions that we won't ever likely have answered
As an outright tourist destination it's probably not the best .

Should do Mother Shiptons in Knaresborough. 😂

Flippin' Nora; they're 5000 years old, lad! That should be worth the price of the sausage roll in itself!
I'd suggest go to Avebury instead, or go to Woodhenge (free) then park up in Larkhill and walk down to the stones, you can use the free public right of way which is really just behind the path you have to walk on anyway
And you went to Blackpool.. needs a comparison to the Blackpool tower lol 🤣🤣
WORSE, although I never actually went up it tbf
Tbh Ed I think you'd need to go when the summer solstice is happening. I at first was like you but once I actually experienced it, I got why many people found it so spiritual.
You should try newgrange in meath so
Haha "You're literally French!" Love it!
Superb Kevin McCloud impression
The most shocking thing about this experience for me was that you ate that sausage roll dry 🥴
Gotta use the tomato sauce! 🍅
That grand designs reference was amazing, and deffo influenced by a comedy genius Mr Kay, love you Ed x
I'd forgotten about that bit he did, but yeah probably without realising
Made me love you even more mate
Cheers boss... Saved me a trip 😂
I feel your pain Ed! I went once and I felt like it was a big waste of time and money just for a bunch of rocks which you can see from the road while driving past them!!
Great vid
You'd of been better viewing it from the motorway for free & save the £23 'entrance' 😂
I used to pass Stonehenge on my commute - never grew tired of it personally. It's no Colosseum but it is a pretty impressive piece of history. Then again you are probably right that Salisbury Cathedral is a better attraction
Warwick castle is good. Nothing to do with stone henge but never mind🤣🤣
Your lucky they didn’t even have an exhibition when I went 😂
Just some rocks 😂😂
Prehistoric people or whatever 😂
I went on a school trip in the seventies we jumped allover it scratch are names in it had lunch on it ,victorians used to chip bits off and take them home but I now believe it has great energy
It's a legendary spot for summer sulstice. What it really needs is real druids, some weed and Hendrix on a stack of Marshall amps. That'll get people down.
Stonehenge is very Salisbury plain!
Getting laughed at by the French lol 😂
Cant belive they built stone henge so close to the A303😂😂
"This is like the original IKEA." Genius.
it was someones rockery garden feature on the other-side of the fence is a free public footpath next to it
Your best video to date😂😂😂
Cheers!
I never planned on it mate! I can see stones, rocks and slabs at the back of the garden 🤷♂
