@@tomgw4734No that is why they stopped building pyramids, because they realized they were just huge signs telling people where they could get valuables. That is why they switched to underground hidden tombs. Nobody except the priest, the pharaohs and the workers knew where the underground tombs were. The reason the tombs were robbed was because the priest turned on the pharaoh and robbed the tombs. The tombs that we know like Tut's tomb, did not start till the 18th dynasty. All the underground tombs are from the 18th, 19th and 20th dynasties. That was the period where they started spending lots of money, and everything was gold. Well Egypt went bankrupt, and the priest were not getting paid, so they robbed the tombs. Somehow they either forgot, or got caught right at Tut's tomb. Something stopped them from raiding Tut's tomb, and a room right off of his tomb is where they were taking everything from all the tombs and leaving the useless stuff, and taking the valuables. The same room where all the pictures from Tut's tomb were taken 100 years ago, is the same room where the tomb robbers divided up the loot. Again, something stopped them from raiding his tomb, so they were likely caught before they could raid it. Nonetheless, they stopped building pyramids because of robbers, switched to underground tombs, and stopped making them for the same reason. Not sure how they could not figure out pyramids were a bad idea, but it is mind blowing. Picture this, the pyramids for thousands for years were the tallest structures ever built. They were blinding white with huge gold caps on top, and somehow they did not see that they were just advertising to criminals to come steal the valuables inside. The pyramids were actually inside a white polished limestone casing, and were perfectly flat on all sides. Looking at them in the daytime would be like looking at snow on a sunny day, it would be blinding. Again, not sure how they did not see it coming. The pyramids were literally like shiny road signs that said 'valuables inside'. But hey these are the same people that lost the Sphinx at least twice. Yes they lost the Sphinx twice. How do we know this, well because between the sphinx's legs there is a stone that tells the story of how it was found thousands of years ago. So for at least a thousand years it was just a head, then for a few thousand years it was just a head again, till the body was found again in 1817. That is why when you see all the old pictures of the Sphinx it only shows a head. So the body was found at least twice Not sure how you forget the Sphinx had a body twice.
That’s not falling with style, that’s flying! The people involved with these Red Bull projects have the best job in the world. You guys rock! Thanks for always doing the coolest stuff and taping it so we can experience it with you. 🤘🏼
I once visited Egypt, ( 1963 ) young man in those days. Went to the centre of the great pyramid ( Cheops) Freaky feeling while one is the centre ( burial chamber) of Cheops, appx four thousand years old, imagined how many people have been there before you / stood there, over the centuries. Anyway, sorry for being boringly nostalgic. I live in U.K. Peace to all !!
There are burial chambers all over Egypt, the Great Pyramids are nothing like them. You don't build with the precision of the pyramids unless they have a function
Could you see that the pyramids were actually made of concrete? The ancient Egyptians knew how to make a geopolymer concrete out of materials sourced on the Giza Plateau itself. The blocks were poured into place using formwork just like we do today.
First time I've seen that too. We do it all the time in airplanes, convert excess speed into altitude, I sure as hell didn't know a wingsuit could do it, very cool.
I always wondered whether it would be possible to skim the surface of a body of water, flare till you bleed off most of your velocity into altitude, and then just drop into the water without using a parachute.
Je me disais aussi : les wingsuits qui remontent juste avant d'ouvrir, ça ressemble aux SoulFlyers, comme au phare de la Coubre ! Gagné !!! Superbes images, un grand merci et une super année 2022 à toute l'équipe !!
Just getting into Egypt was so hard I have no clue how they got permission to do this. Absolutely awesome I always wondered what the top of the pyramid look like great video thank you so much
Well you just need ticket & visa to enter egypt. But yeah pyramid area have strict rule to follow no climbing or stepping on it stones. Bet RedBull paid lot of cash for the permit 📈📈
Let's clarify, No cash required to anyone except for the organizers. it's a yearly skydiving event going on it's fourth iteration for promoting tourism. Red Bull just happened to join for 2021 and got to jump/fly around the pyramids like all the other 200+ skydivers :). Get your skydiving license and the required number of jumps and I'm sure you can enjoy the same experience.
I was on a Turkish Airlines flight a few years ago flying back from Dar es Salaam to Istanbul and we flew over Cairo. I looked out the window to see what i could see and we were over the pyramids. I think we were at over 30,000ft so they were a long way down but it was still pretty cool to see them
The most impressive thing is how Red Bull was able to build those huge pyramids just for this event.
They didn't. It's green-screen and CGI. 😁

I'm sure Trump funded it. Once he had these finished, "Now, we're going to build a Wall...a Great Wall"
I feel like it might have been the aliens
the wall is necessary.
When I was young, this was my fondest dream. Well done gentlemen.
No way the ancients thought this would ever happen to their monument. Historically accurate.
they knew, that's why they've built it
they were time travellers
Ancients had technology beyond ours. Our technology couldn’t reproduce pyramid cutting levels until 1980s. Let that sink in.

interesting
That opening sequence is incredible… they actually gain altitude!
First time I've seen that too. We do it all the time in airplanes, convert excess speed into altitude, I sure as hell didn't know a wingsuit could do it, very cool.
Now I want to see someone in a wingsuit fly up a cliff and land on the edge of it.
Yep… the pyramids were designed for this I believe.
They go up to a nearly stop. But is it safe for an optimal parachute opening?
I always wondered whether it would be possible to skim the surface of a body of water, flare till you bleed off most of your velocity into altitude, and then just drop into the water without using a parachute.
That looks awesome guys congrats
thanks Brent 💪
I've always dreamed about flying....this is second best!
Beautiful view of the Pyramids!
Thank you!
thanks OceanSwimmer ✌️
Just learn how to lucid dream and your dream will come true😂
Wow. I'm surprised Egypt even allowed this.
They don't usually play games when it comes to the pyramids.
Sweet video!
I wonder how much Red Bull paid to get it approved
Absolutely nothing short of amazing fellas. Loved it. Love Red bull. Yellow addition is fire. Keep it up boys. Flying high again.
thanks very much 💪
Closest I've ever been to the pyramids! Thanks Redbull... That's impressive!

Beautiful Work Guys. Incredible. If only the people who built these pyramids could see people in wing suits flying past them today. Amazing
Yeh I know they would not like that. Who flies by a pyramid in wingsuit? Some things just need to be cast down. Lol
I think we would be more amazed at what they were doing.
The guys who built these things could prolly fly, what magnificence!
They'd be like. What the hell is that it's headed right for the Pyramid!!!
@CANADIAN REBEL you watched too much "history" channel lol
Those views of the pyramids are just amazing.
