Even now, more than half of the features aren’t even available for people who bought the iPhone 16. Not to mention, their partnership with ChatGPT is a borderline scam. You only have access to ChatGPT for 24 hours before they cut off your access and ask for $20 per month to use the feature that Apple was advertising so hard for. Realistically, what do we even get with the on device AI? Summarizing texts and emails, generating silly emojis and pictures, scanning things with your camera, removing things from photos (very poorly btw) and an “improved” Siri that now (with 18.2 at least) takes a million years to relay the weather to you. Apple could’ve taken their time like they do with everything else, to give a full AI release, but instead they jumped at the opportunity to try to outsell the Galaxy S24 Ultra by “releasing” Apple Intelligence.
I just switched from the google pixel 8 pro and they haven’t integrated AI nearly as well as Apple 🍎. Apple is integrating everything to work cohesively whereas android has AI but it is segmented and compartmentalized. I like the Apple approach but I’m no fanboy as I just have my first iPhone 16 pro.
Hi, I'm using iOS 18.1.1 on my iPhone 16 pro max. I have noticed that, before I did the 1st AI update, my phone would charge to 80% as set in the settings. But since the update, it charges to 100%, even though I have it still set to 80% in the battery setting. Has anyone else seen this?
It’s been fixed for a couple versions however, if you still have that issue, Apple has a workaround to fix it. It’s in the release notes but basically you change your password to just a numeric password instead of an alpha numeric password then reboot and it should fix it.

Since updating to iPadOS 18.1.1, I am unable to scroll in Facebook using Safari. It’s jerky and all over the place. I hope that’s fixed with 18.2. Also can no longer answer phone calls on my M4 iPad like I used to be able to.
The Mail app is still not working properly. Don’t get no sounds no vibrations and occasional lock screen notification, but the badges are working now but the weird thing is when I put my phone on the charger then everything works properly. I don’t know it’s kind of weird.
iOS 18.1.1 dictation and Siri stops working and the only way to reset it is a hard reboot, perhaps something with the cache file but I’ve had to hard reboot multiple times to fix it. Then it stops working at random points

Using iOS 18.2 beta 3 with 16 pro max. Regarding accessibility. Audioducking is not working well. When playing media, and using voiceover the media does not reduce volume. This was broken in iOS 18 and fixed in iOS 18.1.1 for me. Now is broken. Hope in the RC this is addressed. Probably not.
Only issue I'm facing is delayed notifications started on iOS 18 but got worse on iOS 18.1 (iOS 18.1.1 didn't fix it). Basically notifications are delayed for hours or calls from third party apps wouldn't go through if device is idle. Been seeing alot of post about it on Reddit and Apple Community, but from the looks of it Apple hasn't been able to fix it yet. I had been in contact with a specialist for two weeks now and all they can do is have me send logs or troubleshoot it, they still can't tell what's causing it.

Bluetooth is kept cutting the connection and also hearing test is available in the uk. Watch batter percentage has been fixed. Also sometimes my camera is flickering between 3 cameras it seems like there is an issue with the beta versions i hope they can fix it😊

Since The rollout of iOS 18 (this includes 18.1.1), I can NOT get a vibration alert with new emails from mail app on silent. All my settings are correct, no focus mode, haptics are all turned on, etc. and have tried everything. But no luck. Apple has not addressed this issue yet with so many people are having this same issue. Text messages and other alerts work fine. Just no vibration for new emails from the mail app. I never know when a new email has arrived on silent mode. It’s so frustrating. Please fix this bug Apple in 18.2.
There is an issue with text messaging under iOS 18. Messages will often not be sent or require multiple attempts to be sent. Has this been fixed in iOS 18.2? It is an issue with phones configured with an eSIM. There also may be carrier configuration issues regarding the eSim configuration on the carrier's side (I am using freedom mobile here in Canada). I can confirm it is present in iOS 18.1 on iPhone 16 Pro. I am still determining if it is present in other iPhone 16 models and if it applies to other models. I have not yet gotten definitive information on this.

@@zollotech Yeah I am aware of the incident in 2020 that was traced to iOS issues related to interfacing with the carrier through eSIM protocols. That was eventually resolved with a series f software updates. In that case it affected multiple carriers in both US and Canada. Given the fact we have not seen wide spread rep[oerts of it it lisl likely more isolated. Now interesting fact is that I am on 5G as my primary protocol for calling and SMS. It also seem to be only affecting my communications with non-Apple phones. THis make me suspect there is a carrier element to it but having called the carriers texh support they are left with recommending I power cycle the phone before each text message. That really does not sound like a solution more like a band-air fix. It has only started occurring in the last two weeks. I asked the carrier if they have done any network upgrade for MS during that period. They were silent for a long time and then told me that software updates are proprietary information and they can not discuss it with customers. I'll keep an eye on it and let you know. It may just be a Canadioan issue or even an issue local to Toronto or even local to the nearby cell towers I am connecting to if it is a software or carrier issue.

I’m a new subscriber and I am on a iPhone 16 Pro Max and I’ve been having a problem with Face ID. It worked fine for about 3 weeks and then it stopped working so I went to the Apple Store after spending 2+ hours on the phone trying to get it fixed. We set up Face ID at the store and it worked fine but after I got home it stopped working again after two days so I spent a hour on the phone trying to reinstall Face ID and it didn’t work so I went back to the store and we setup Face ID again and it worked fine! We did test on the software and hardware and everything was fine! It has been working great since then but I’m just waiting to see if it does it again!
touch issus are happening a lot for me and it seems o be related to the outer edges a lot. On curved edge models, it's more and bigger pain! check for typos or gibberish and its mostly iPhone.

It is most likely not going to. Apple can easily implement it if they want to, but if itcomes to the 15 pro, the 16 series will become an even more insignificant jump than it already is.

One thing I’m seeing persist in 18.2 is if I’m watching TH-cam with the phone sideways, when I pull down SBS settings to change my screen brightness it kicks the phone orientation back to as if I’m holding the phone vertical.
Definitely not. For two reasons. First there is always a possibility that there is a catastrophic bug in any beta release that could result in your phone being rendered useless (The technical term is being bricked) and the second is that betas often contain code for developers to gather performance data and that will slow your phone down. This code iOS is usually removed when Apple compiles the definitive version. So given these two reasons I would never use beta software on my primary phone. There is too much risk, and it could result in your phone being permanently disabled in extreme outlier cases. When you elect to use a beta version you sign an agreement that absolves Apple of all responsibility for any issues that arise that permanently disable your phone. So, your chances of getting a replacement are meager if the phone has become bricked due to your using untested and development software. Beta software is meant for members of the public that are experienced testers and have phones that can be used for testing without putting their data and ability to continue to work and live without phone should it become bricked.

It worked fine for about 3 weeks and then it stopped working so I went to the Apple Store after spending 2+ hours on the phone trying to get it fixed. We set up Face ID at the store and it worked fine but after I got home it stopped working again after two days so I spent a hour on the phone trying to reinstall Face ID and it didn’t work so I went back to the store and we setup Face ID again and it worked fine! We did test on the software and hardware and everything was fine! It has been working great since then but I’m just waiting to see if it does it again!
touch issus are happening a lot for me and it seems o be related to the outer edges a lot. On curved edge models, it's more and bigger pain! check for typos or gibberish and its mostly iPhone.

It is most likely not going to. Apple can easily implement it if they want to, but if itcomes to the 15 pro, the 16 series will become an even more insignificant jump than it already is.

One thing I’m seeing persist in 18.2 is if I’m watching TH-cam with the phone sideways, when I pull down SBS settings to change my screen brightness it kicks the phone orientation back to as if I’m holding the phone vertical.

Definitely not. For two reasons. First there is always a possibility that there is a catastrophic bug in any beta release that could result in your phone being rendered useless (The technical term is being bricked) and the second is that betas often contain code for developers to gather performance data and that will slow your phone down. This code iOS is usually removed when Apple compiles the definitive version. So given these two reasons I would never use beta software on my primary phone. There is too much risk, and it could result in your phone being permanently disabled in extreme outlier cases. When you elect to use a beta version you sign an agreement that absolves Apple of all responsibility for any issues that arise that permanently disable your phone. So, your chances of getting a replacement are meager if the phone has become bricked due to your using untested and development software. Beta software is meant for members of the public that are experienced testers and have phones that can be used for testing without putting their data and ability to continue to work and live without phone should it become bricked.
I do it all the times nothing ever happens works just fine

Can you talk publicly for the blue haze issue with 30s night photos? I'm asking for 10th time and you are saying that you are reading the comments. Its everywhere and its serious. You are huge channel, so it will get more needed attention. People are complaining for the "background dim" effect, but problems like this are ignored completely.

Hope Apple fixes issue with RCS not working. I called them and was told lot of people having issues with it not working. Apple was a lot better when Jobs was alive.
