i managed to fix a city that was trying to grow but i missed the unemployment. then i tried new cities with giving slow growth and watched my money evaporate. hoping your vids show me what im doing wrong early game thats costing me so much in upkeeps.

Does the game recognize the little forest you built about halfway in the video as a "recreational" place or activity for the people? Or is it just for your own aesthetics that you wanted to build
Around the15:00 min mark you said a clinic is $103,000/month and you went ahead and divided by 24h. You forgot that a month has 30 DAYS... So $103,000/month is actually $143.05/h..
That’s in real life but in game one month is equal to 24 hours. I haven’t double checked the math on the budget side but I do know that’s how they’ve set up the time.

It’s just aesthetics for now. We will likely add some park buildings there later to make it more functional.
