There's a lot I like about this channel, but the lack of music can't be overstated. I hate that royalty free upbeat hip hop that gets plastered all over every other running channel. That format is so over-used and over-copied that it's just cringe at this point.
Feel like my form is literally getting better from watching all these videos. This channel is single handedly saving the youtube running game right now.
First of all, their cool down is faster than I run right a mile right now lol. Second, that was a thing of beauty. I almost shed a tear. Tertiary, I honestly felt like I was at practice. That was an amazing feeling.
Love how simple and raw you keep these videos. A lot of times, I click off or fast forward videos when they have too much editing/music. Keep it up. You’re going to get a lot of subscribers.
Love the start. Training sessions can't be all-out all the time. That's a sure way to burnout. I see athletes talking about how Strava uploads have to be quick for the fans and it's a vicious cycle.
Add me to the "love" comments over the raw nature of these videos. It's perfect, and allows me to focus on the session as if I was there observing in person. Well done!
Eh, maybe he should considering that every rep he paced was a little faster than prescribed... Obviously it's good to be able to run without looking at your watch frequently, but I'm guessing Coach Smith would prefer that he looked at his splits a bit more often if it meant he hit the prescribed paces.
@@kaismithley6173 Coach Smith shouted that they were going too fast on two of the reps he paced. If your coach feels the need to point that out, I'm pretty sure that qualifies as an issue... He was 3-4s fast for multiple reps, which is pretty far off pace for such short reps.
Yeah you’d be surprised a lot of the top guys are so humble that they don’t care about getting their splits and posting them on Strava, etc. I love how he’s rocking more clothing
@@chrisvarelabenitez4690 that's facts, I think it's just because it's cold in flagstaff though he'd probably be working out shirtless with splits if it was hot

Did this workout with my high school kids...not the 200m jog for 400's but they really liked it and got them rolling..tough when you get to 200's w/200m jog
Ha ha we do run the other way around the track in the Southern Hemisphere. Also that tracks busier than our local track during lockdown. It's never busier than when in lockdown.
Why is it that nike school especially big dawgs like oregon who get tons of gear don't wear other brands while we see NAU which is a insane program wearing other brands. Same for drake seen from Fogg
The whole reason the brand sponsors them is so that they race and train in the gear. When I was in college, if someone showed up in non-issued gear, they would get chewed out by the coach. Watching this video, they look kind of scrappy because people are wearing random color shirts and shoes.
Probably for training it’s fine but for racing it’s strictly Adidas. My buddy trains at SUU and wears Adidas spikes for racing but he trains in Nike trainers.
Because Nike sort of has a monopoly on the best gear at the moment. Company’s understand and just ask that they wear their gear for races. When it’s about winning sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do I guess.
This is crazy to see to me 😭 I'm in high school and the highest number of repeats our best runners do is 10, and usually one set distance, not ladder workouts.

Funny, I read this during the part of the video where Justin Bieber is playing in the background lol

I love how raw and uncut this content is. Keep up the great work Sweat Elite!
Props to the cameraman for keeping pace and never losing his breath!
Nico’s form looks so improved from high school. Coach Smith must have put in a lot of work to fix it

Amazing video as always, this my fav channel now! I'd love to see a Luis Grijalva x Sweat Elite but only time could tell hahaha. Thanks guts!
I like track and field. This was my event way back in my school days. Great Video and awesome track oval.

The sound of the feet hitting the track is so nostalgic lol

Been enjoying these videos a lot lately, thank you for your amazing content Matt :)

Very Nice! GoPro version?

paused at 4:02 , anyone knows what kind of Adidas (the orange ones) are those? The look fast, light and comfortable.
Surprised they didn’t hit 67 every time for such an experienced squad. 65’s-69’s
I think their just practicing the same pace and not going for super fast 400s
Is that a good training session if im training for a half marathon if yes how often do i do the workout thanks for info

I’d love to see a new bury park video, but they’re pretty secretive
4:01 Cheserek?
Nice 🏃⚡
Just curious, why do they run around the track in the reverse direction from which it is run on races?
It gives the body some rest to not have to go in the same direction all the time. Lot of pressure on the hips
Sir tell me the workout of 1600m
Where is Luis?
Signed with Hoka
Damn, I was wondering the same thing. Losing Grijalva (NAU) and Hocker (Oregon) kind of sucks. Anyone else go pro?
C'est pour quel distance ?
Why running right not left
Anyone else think the cadence is mesmerizing?
If you go high enough on Buffalo Creek trails you can see New Mexico.
stupid question, whats the recovery? i didnt catch it
200 between reps, 1 min and 4 min respectively between sets
@@itsame593 thank you
whats the rest time/distance theyre doing in between reps?

Evenly works the body rather than strengthening one side more than the other

George Kusche

How to take rest in between sets
