This young man's voice is as smooth as silk and gives me the goosies every time I hear him sing. I hope he wins, he has the best voice on the show.
Elvis would be pleased to have such a one do him honor. Not an impersonator, of which there are many excellent, but a fellow with the soul and the talent to reinvent a classic and make you feel butterflies in your stomach.

Vagelis is the one to watch in this season. He sings and it just pulls at your soul, it's something that is missing in music today. There is a lot of bubblegum music with no heart and I am glad that he is on the show. Good Luck Vangelis. I'll be the 1st in the US to buy your music.

So true MetteC5. It just seems the heart has gone out of music and it's so sad. You can just tell that when he sings that he lays his heart and soul out. I wish Vangelis all the best and can wait for his music.

His VOICE IS VERY BEAUTIFUL

Not a fan up to this point, I have to say this performance was well worthy of taking Vangelis through. What I loved was the way Vangelis found some really subtle runs, and combined them with wonderful sensitivity to the meaning of the song. His falsetto towards the end was just about as perfect as you'll ever hear, and a real lesson to some of the other singers. I was glad to see him go through.
He won the one spot that I feel was open in Boy George's mind before hearing them perform in front of the other judges and audience tonight and he won it hands down because he allowed himself to get lost in the background and let his voice and the lyrics make a connection with the audience.

I love Elvis
When I first heard his name, I thought "Who is this?" I was surprised he hadn't made his mark. The song change made me weary at first but it was a great choice in the end and show his flexibility and ability, It was a beautiful tone with the right amount of vibrato. A strong contestant with performing the song tremendously well, the falsetto is excellent and there was just enough to add contrast with out it being competitive. Looking forward to him in the lives!
This performance was magical! I was worried a bit for Vangelis when Emma asked Will and Paloma who they would've taken through and they both said... Chase? WTF? Thank God, Boy George has common sense and sees/hears these performance like the rest of us.

If songs were credited by the singers, then many singers would have to listed for this song (with good to great commercial success) as some sang the song before Elvis and some after. The most well known version of the song is by Willie Nelson, so there is no reason at all to attribute this song to Elvis. It's a mistake.

So I thought the whole point of this was they chose their own song to sing? So how come he ended up singing one chosen by BG? Surely this shows just a smidgen of bias by the judge as he should towards him!

His first audition, when i listened to him i thought this guy is really good, but has kind of stalled since, and in the danger of being labelled rather dull IMO. Very lucky to go through in place of few others. Lacks connection with the song & shouldn't be wearing that thick coat with the collars up onstage. Who dressed him up like that and sent him on stage?
I wish Leighton went through instead of Vangelis, he is so boring..
