Fabulous performing you guys didnt miss a single connection, tempi was awesome speed demonstrated your musiciainship as a section. I am very glad i heard this from start to finish. I really appriciated your dynamics also you all knew what was important and what needed to be secondary voices. Cheers to your wonderful Hand Bell Choir. Derrick
love this so much! the guys in the back on the lower bells were so into it (everyone was) I cant imagine having to play hot cross buns in a bell choir, much less this. awesome job!!
@nocturneno2 We certainly had them, you can see the C1 shining in the right corner, the idea was to play from the organ score. Donald Alured always believed it was a great exercise in musicality and pure reading and technique to perform the full organ score, unadulterated. Trust me, I was position 11 and I would have LOVED to have played more notes. I feel like some of the affect would have been lost if we had just used a transcription.
Well this is fun! I didn't expect an unaltered version, great to see! Though I must be honest that the conducting isn't the most helpful if you lose count of the beat in the bar...! Fortunately the performers seem to have known the piece inside out!
Maff Skywatch The Raleigh Ringers included it on their CD "Going to Extremes". The arrangement they preform features a prelude arranged by Michael Kastner which features their orchestral chimes. They also use alternate bell sets and handchimes. It gives the piece a new flavor though I'm not a huge fan of the prelude.

This takes me back!! I so enjoyed that tour! Lili and I were rocking the trills, lol! The memories of all those concerts will never go away.
Wow! Great performance! The running notes were awesome. I know that can be one of the hardest thing for handbell choirs and you guys rocked it!
