Good Lord in Heaven - such a young guy with such *spectacular* keyboard skills! Imagine him in 2 years - 5 years - 10 years. Truly, the sky is the limit for his breathtaking talent!
@@julien23lastchristmas2 I don't think it's depending in geographical location. USA had Virgil Fox for example. Spread around the globe any type of person exists, smart, dumb, good, bad, everything.. It's one big blend.
Mastery of the King of Instruments is the pinnacle of human training and achievement. No other activity rivals it. Kudos young man for a great performance.
Mille bravos. Continuez.
Fantastic performance as usual Gert, and let me say thank you for sharing such a wonderful rendition of Bach's (perhaps) best known Fugue !! I love the rich sounds of this magnificent instrument in this church & your registration, especially stately pedal sounds ! Dank U !
Dear Gert; you have such a wonderful feel for the music and your phrasing is superb. Thank you so much. You're really going to be blessing to the whole world. I've listen to a number of you post. Sent with love. CVD
Good job...!!!! Very good job..!!! Great pronounced trills...which help to make this particular piece so good to listen to. I loved the registration you used as well... I have heard this with simply flutes, and it did not represent what Bach was doing when he composed this... You sir, did an excellent job....the whole piece.
The consummate organist in one so young! I know little of the fine detail but having always loved Bach and the organ in particular, I love what I hear! I am sure those who know what they are talking about can pick out flaws in the detail perhaps

Skillful man at the manuals. Excellent choice of music. My only hex is that these old organs, wonderful as they be, are HAUNTED by ghosts. But it's worth listening for the joy of the music. Just put up with the ensuing nightmares, that's my advice.
gert, beautiful as usual, always a pleasure to watch and listen to you, also notice jan in background with camera, not sure what he likes best, his canon or registering for you
are you saying what I think your saying.... it's called pulling out the stops.. ha ha. actually Jan his longest partner is the one taking pictures..... then Gert met his now wife and they have a son. Glad to see things are well.
thank god that young people are learning the organ again
guys! both hands are soloist! Bach, dude you are awesome
Magnificent.......Incredible for one so young. A joy to listen to. A world class performance.

For me the europeans are the best people in the world.

Your talent and the wonderful Hinsz organ; a treat for the eye and ear.

I heard a recording of Virgil Fox playing this when I was 12 years old. It was the piece that made me fall in love with the organ.
Thanks!
This is the best live version I have heard on youtube =)
Thanks for posting this one, Gert! It's one of my two favorite Bach fugues!
My favourite Bach fugue
Thank you! You always post great choices of répertoire and improvisation. I like your style.
Very clear and fresh but warm sound - Hinsz organs are real masterpieces! Yeah, the long trills are quite tricky - well played!
I'm delighted and impressed! Excellent job, young man! So coool!!!!
Well done, Gert! Anothe beautiful performance. Thank you!

Wow, one of the best performances I've heard! Is he just learning? He's very young!
echt populair op youtube dit stuk hè! Heel goed gedaan, wordt steeds mooier!
I love your playing and your clean voicing.
Thank you, every time I watch your videos it gives me the desire to practice on my Hammond Monark....I will never be as good as you but I keep trying.
I love seeing the community making an investment of time and approval in their youth.
Amazing as always Gert. Thank you.
A beautiful performance, Gert.

The modulation into major gets me every time 😌
I love this piece and you played it beyond good! :D

Gert you're so talented,
my best regards from Chile
Prachtig uitgevoerd, Gert ...
Well LOL! That was great. Like playing the piano with your hands while typing with your feet. Love it.
Bravo! Bach has NEVER sounded better!

Why does the old guy have to keep adjusting the stops? I've never seen that with any other performance of this work.
Wonderful, divine !
Mooi gespeeld!

Grand Stuff Gert! :o)
Sometimes tempo gets out of control but other than that excellent performance!!
what do you know..... kidding with the profile pic and name you are one to know. sounds good here I'm 65.

- Danke!!!
Fantastic!!!
Admirable !
Bravo.....! Bon tempo... et un bon avenir :)
What was it at 1:00? And I wish it would be a bit slower
bravo. bravo.
Fantasties soos altyd! Very good!
Amazing!
Exceptionally well done, Gert. Is that your grandfather pulling stops for you? If so, he must be very proud of you.
John from Idaho, USA
Veramente geniale.
BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!
awesome
Bravissimo!
Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever seen a young organ player before
I just love that there's a guy whose job is to pull his knob while he plays with his organ.
are you saying what I think your saying.... it's called pulling out the stops.. ha ha. actually Jan his longest partner is the one taking pictures..... then Gert met his now wife and they have a son. Glad to see things are well.
Geniusz! Brawo !
There's Jan, around the back there. Do little Dutch boys hang out in churches? Or did they?
muy bueno!!
Lovely ... génial
this is a captain!
Mennyei zene!!!
GRAND !!!
Bach freut sich.
bravo.
Gert, did Bach improvise this from a given theme or he composed it from scratch?
A pity the recording device had poor frequency response.
Great.

How long did you study for that ?
wow
Alleen het tempo in de gaten houden :-)
Great..but he has the tendence to speed the tempo in some bars..
Agreed -- In older churches tempo needs to be adjusted to truly appreciate the nuances of Bach. He has marvelous talent.
It's speeding up the tone he dose it a lot in playing other Pisces of music..
Atma108 It doesn’t add anything to the music when it’s random or happening at the easier passages - this is just a common learner’s error
I think he's playing it too slow. This is right: th-cam.com/video/PhRa3REdozw/w-d-xo.html
