Backup is like the strange combination of mutate and haste. It’s also interesting because you have to choose if you want a strong effect now and weaker repeatable effect or get nothing now and get a stronger repeatable effect when you are casting your larger backup creatures.
IDK about muffled sounds but every one sounds needs to by synced up to each other, there's so many games where green is too loud so it's like they turn him down but now Cory is way too loud

Cards like Feldon, Kiki-Jiki, Delina, and Jaxus, and Mirror march are going to be absolutely crazy in this deck. Why didn't you guys point out the reprint of Kalonian Hydra, a $15-$20 card?

I don't think any of the new cards are amazing - they are too expensive and too specific. There is a ton of expensive good EDH cards like this and they ussually don't cost much (From the Catacombs for example - 100% win rate when I draw, yet no one plays it, I bet most people don't even know this repeatable reanimation exists). If one of the cards really pops off on the command zone episode or on shuffle up and play they might spike like the colossus. Other then that the only interesting one is the "free" wheel that might cost couple bucks and is hard to reprint since it refrences planechase. That said their reprint policy for these new EDH decks seem great. Hope for the same value in the other decks too!
Conclave is busted if you think about it. Green makes having a lot of mana easy. Have double strike enablers in your deck. Commander then only needs to be power 4 with double strike to kill someone with commander damage at the end of the sequence. Banana’s….

It would be awesome if WotC focused on content creators that celebrate the new and interesting things like this, rather than reducing the hobby to an analysis of financial content. Awesome content by members of the Magic community, not those trying to use an overleveraged platform to attempt to define the community.
So just making sure I have this right regarding Conclave Sledge-Captain... I play this, with three backup abilities, all targeting my commander Rafiq of the Many, then attack with him. Exalted triggers, so he's a 7/7 double strike with trample this turn, with three instances of the +1/+1 counter triggered ability from the captain. If he goes through unblocked, that's 7 first strike damage, then the three abilities trigger to put seven +1/+1 counters on him three times, then he deals 28 damage on the second strike, and gets even more +1/+1 counters from that?
Don't get me wrong, sound quality is kind of ok. There are way smaller channels with better quality though. SCG should just invest a few bucks and buy professional equipment.
If a creature gives backup to itself, does it get the ability twice? So let's say a creature says Reach and when it enters the battlefield search your library for a land card and put it to your hand. If this creature has backup 1 and the above ability, when it gives this to itself, does it gain 2 versions of it own etb ability? Will u search for two lands?

Massively weak on the re-print front. So far the WORST reprint value, The Esper Knights deck. Comes in at $122 value Vs $64 of this deck. Thats painful. That deck got some fantastic re-prints. This deck, not so much.

Yeah Shalai and Hallar seem really good. I can see them dealing an absurd amount of damage. Probably my favorite commander out of the precons.
There are at least two Sliver decks in rotation where I play Commander. Riptide Island sounds like a fun time.

Backup is *almost* an online only mechanic. It requires the player to keep up with almost too much.
It's only for one turn, so it shouldn't be too hard to keep up with.
