The Lewis Hamilton Time Trial challenge has the Diamond prize, which is faster than Gold. Perhaps the Staff could create Diamond times themselves, similar to CTRNF's staff ghosts.

I don't think this one was even close to being the biggest problem but rather much bigger rally races where they give Racing Hard tires and it's like going on snow I believe those ones are actually impossible since right at start you keep loosing a lot of time right away in a straight line...
I was doing this license, even mimicking the example then realized it was comforts instead of dirt. It felt like TC was on because mine lost speed on the straight.
I was doing IB license in the evo, came .036 from gold, and couldn't figure out why it was so difficult. Looked on google and all rally tracks had glithced

This test for me, similarly to everyone else, was absolutely infuriating. I noticed right away that the truck had comfort tires and cursed PD as I tirelessly slaved away at the test, wondering why Kaz would punish us like this. Eventually decided it was impossible and gave up but instantly rejected my failure and tried one more time. Nailed the gold by 0.051, on the previous attempt I was 0.051 over. Such a good feeling. Then I felt like an idiot after reading the test was glitched lol
This was about my experience on the Dirt IB license test. I played it shortly after update 1.06 and didn't realise the tyres were wrong, I just thought for some reason it was exceptionally difficult. It took me about 1 hour and 45 minutes to finally get the gold time with that Mitsubishi. It was only when I went to do the IA license test and saw the Racing tyres that I questioned it and realised the mistake.
The mission with the audi s1 trying to pass 3 cars was also really hard now with comfort tires. Really fun to slide the car around but for getting the gold time I decided to wait for fix
Yeah, I had done this test a8 before the update, but hadn't done that mission challenge (American forest, I think it's called?) and it's impossible on the CMs. Waiting for the update to ace it
Oh believe me, Jimmer… The other “wrong compound” off-road challenges and trials are borderline impossible! The one in Mission Mode with the Audi Quattro Pikes Peak is just… not feasible.

It was pretty hilarious when I tried this test; I was cruising through the tests, and then I said "What the hell is wrong with me?" One reddit inquiry later, I knew I wasn't insane, or too old to play games. My suspicion is that the cars went to defaults when they fixed the code? It's not something intentional, clearly.
Oh thank God. Looking at these comments I feel relieved to now know that I'm not just a shitty driver. I got so frustrated watching the demo video and the truck stuck to the surface and did everything it needed to. Then when I tried doing exactly the same thing I just slid. Absolutely no hope.
I got the game after the update and thought my wheel settings were wrong or I was bad...nope! Every license test and mission objective I couldn't do is on the Known Issues list
Odometer started on 0 and ended on 83.3 miles.. That's 5 (and a bit) laps around the Nürburgring. In 90 minutes. My math says that in order to complete 5 labs on the Nürburgring in 90 minutes, you'd need to average ~52 mph.
Been trying for gold on S5 for a lifetime! The worst part is, they constantly tell you to watch the demonstration - where the demo car has dirt tyres! 🙄😂 and I’m a controller user just to make things extra hard 😉
@@ocin_4208 controller is easier with a lower skill cap I believe. Having used a wheel there are many things on a wheel you can not do on a controller without an immense amount of time spent practicing.
They need to patch in diamond levels for the tests, where they actually require those crazy levels of skill and dedication but pay out like 500k for passing them
before gameversion 1.06 the tyres where not glitched and you had dirt tyres. no caveman full throttle uga uga just huge advantage in tyres. right now you have to get EVERYTHING perfect 100% with perfect technique and a bit of luck to get it. before 1.06 uga uga worked.
No wonder. Every time I watched the demo for Offroad Intermediate, there was no way I could brake or accelerate at the same places. I was slamming my head against the wall trying for gold yesterday.
I'm glad that this is being addressed by PD and by JB. I know I'm not that fast but I have got golds in all GT licenses for 25 years and this nearly made me throw my controller until I watched the Demo and saw Dirt tires. Also, if you look at his line out at the finish line, there's no way he's making the next corner in an actual race so it's not exactly teaching you how to race on this track
Do a quick one of what it's like with the correct tyres when the error is fixed just for comparison to see how fast you can really go and to see how much you've learned from this experience.
Did the tundra mission before the update luckily..not the other ones. The mission with the evo and the jeep are not impossible but SUPER hard..so keep going if you are struggling there, you'll get it eventually :) Tip from me, with the evo, slide as little as possble and treat it more like a car in the wet..stick to the racing line and keep close to the apex, especially in the last 2 corners, where you can gain a ton of time. With the jeep, keep it wide on the entry of the first corner and use that momentum to overtake the 1st one. Try to get him just before the white signs to your right and then yeet yourself into the second one, the first one should then take care of itself..but feel free to yeet into that one too to guarantee the win, like my man senna The ford focus is utterly impossible believe me..take the corners as carefully as possible and go for bronze to pass it but don't expect gold before this is patched. Unless you can, in which case, what are you doing playing GT7? You have a wrc to win, get back in the car!
That +0.01 reminded me of Jimmy back when he first played GT3 on Stream with the PTSD Camaro Test. Endless Hours of doing the same corner pretty much in the same way, only to get the exact same time as Gold, and still be awarded with Silver. Thanks Gran Turismo, very cool.
I was doing this on my pad, no steering wheel and I was like, this is impossible. I had to leave it; I'm relieved to learn there was an error in the game. Fair play Jimmy, awesome effort. I got to a 19.9 on my pad.
I used to rip around this track all the time in GT Sport in either the Tundra or the Raptor to relax. I liked the TRD better because it was a little faster than the Ford. There’s a left turn over jump later that was fun to try to carry enough speed to catch air.
This was fun to watch as I finished the game and went back to the license test just after the 1.06 patch not knowing this was jacked up. I spent an hour and a half on the test with the yellow Lancer. I saw my friends list with all these gold times and just thought I was doing it wrong. I managed to get well into silver time before giving up. A day later I found out about the bug. I am quite proud of my time now as I was actually hauling ass given the tires.

I didn’t think this test was so hard, yes it took a couple tries but you have to try different lines. Corner cutting works very well on this test. Keeping it inside after the left hander will have you set up really nicely for the final corner
This man is a legend. I spend 5 hours on this test with a controller before I found out it was bugged. Got a 19,7 tho. But man did I pull out some hair
I got gold on this first try. It was that one IA dirt test with the Gr.B car that was impossible. The auto drive throws you into a wall right at the start.
I heard this has affected some missions too? There's one of the ones in the first group of missions in a Jeep Wrangler, and passing more than one of the three cars you need proved quite difficult so I shelved it and tried to work out how to actually not be shit in the new daily races lol. This explains it! Do hope they fix that soon though, I've only all the S Licences to gold and wanna get them done before I get much more of the game done!
Do people not remember the days of old gran turismo licenses where you’d always be off by thousandths of a second for gold and then by some miracle you gain an extra tenth somewhere?

Nut sure if the bug is still in the game since last update but there's a even more difficult challange for you. In the second set of missions theres a dirt challenge with the audi quattro. Good luck (i'm pretty sure it's impossible)
The tire issue has haulted me finishing two of the Missions with all gold. I love and yet hate that I'm this hooked on a game again. The Group B Audi mission to me, is just pure impossible as they have you on Racing Hards.
The test/mission where you have to catch 4 other Formula 1500's in the rain on Spa is physically impossible. You get put on Racing Soft's while the AI is on Heavy Wet.

I haven't been able to no-life this game like I dot with Horizon 5, so when I was doing S-5 and Jeep Night Safari for the first time last Friday, I thought they intentionally made it impossible to gold. In fact, when you uploaded the S-10 video, I was gonna comment "Yeah, that's hard... but have you tried the Jeep mission yet!?" Only after an hour of suffering did someone tell me the dirt events were broken after the update, lol
IB-5 is going to be hell on Uncomfortable Softs. I will tell you that right now If you can some how get enough power and traction to go up the damn corners on the hill, under par gold time, consider yourself goated.
Reminds me of the trial mountain one in GT3 with the red R32, I remember being like 12 and getting within a few thousands after an entire 8 hours. Pain.

Started playing GT7 on Saturday, best I’ve managed is 19.9s on a pad. Unbelievably frustrating but reassuring to know that the test is knackered!

Same. Breezed through every test until I came upon this one. At least 70 tries lated and the fastest time I get is about 19.7.
It was noticeable even without inquiring online by watching the demonstration. It shows dirt tires in the demo and the CM tires in the real test

I dident know it was a glitch, I played it for 8 hours straight on a controller. The best time i got was 19.504 so close 😆😆😆
That's still a great time though 4. Thousandths off (if I'm correct)

I also got a license test glitch with the gr.b Ford Focus car. It didn’t use the dirt tires, it just used racing hard ones

I got gold on this first try. It was that one IA dirt test with the Gr.B car that was impossible. The auto drive throws you into a wall right at the start.
I heard this has affected some missions too? There's one of the ones in the first group of missions in a Jeep Wrangler, and passing more than one of the three cars you need proved quite difficult so I shelved it and tried to work out how to actually not be shit in the new daily races lol. This explains it!
Do hope they fix that soon though, I've only all the S Licences to gold and wanna get them done before I get much more of the game done!

I lived in Colorado Springs for a year and I can say that there is no rally race tracks other than pikes peak. Especially no race tracks around a lake

The tire issue has haulted me finishing two of the Missions with all gold. I love and yet hate that I'm this hooked on a game again. The Group B Audi mission to me, is just pure impossible as they have you on Racing Hards.

The test/mission where you have to catch 4 other Formula 1500's in the rain on Spa is physically impossible. You get put on Racing Soft's while the AI is on Heavy Wet.
This is giving me flashbacks to the license test in GT3 where you drive the camaro at Seattle

I did the yellow evo dirt test today and didn't even realize the tires are wrong lol. I did the same thing like Jimmy, took way too long and consistently just off. I did get there though but holy heck.
I haven't been able to no-life this game like I dot with Horizon 5, so when I was doing S-5 and Jeep Night Safari for the first time last Friday, I thought they intentionally made it impossible to gold.
In fact, when you uploaded the S-10 video, I was gonna comment "Yeah, that's hard... but have you tried the Jeep mission yet!?" Only after an hour of suffering did someone tell me the dirt events were broken after the update, lol
