the way kimbo died is terrifying. he goes into the hospital for some shortness of breath and abdominal pain, and ends up dead a few days later. it could happen to anybody.

The guy fought in the UFC which is the most elite promotion in MMA and had a professional record of 10-5 which is a .750 winning percentage. He even beat Mirko Cro Cop and faced the returning champ Arlovski in a main event. The guy was really really good at mma, better than 99% of MMA fighters.

Imagine a backyard football player in his 30's making an NFL team. It wouldn't matter if he was just a marginal starter or a special team player, that would be AMAZING. Its too early now because we wouldn't appreciate it. But in maybe 5 or 6 years they need a movie called Slice. Not a low budget movie, but a real Hollywood blockbuster about his life. From taking baths in the ocean because he was so poor, to his football career, to the hurricane, to the backyard, to the UFC.

I hate Schaub, but this got my upvote. This was a great tribute to Kimbo and a needed glimpse behind the scenes for those who just knew his TH-cam persona. This might be the first thing of Schaub's that I enjoyed (and Ive listened to days worth of his yapping on Rogan), but he gets props for putting this out there.

Miss him a lot. Checked out all his street fights when he was first starting out 10 years ago....really helped me through some hard times mentally. I still can’t believe he died so soon- miss him.

Their season of the fighter gave me so much more respect for Evans he was a great coach and was there for everyone trying to improve them self. I liked him as a fighter but seeing him as a person made me appreciate what a good man he is.
