I own a '91 ETC that has just over 20K on the odometer. Sold by Tutwiler Cadillac in Jacksonville. It is the quirkiest car I've ever owned. It is my everyday driver and I love it, especially on long trips.
Wow. Always forget about the precursor to CVRSS suspension (which came out in 93) in the form of CCC or Computer Command Control. Basically a gussied up active FE3 suspension utilizing a lot of the same tech that made it into CVRSS. Very neat to see that perform. This suspension is LONG NLA (no longer available) so if you want this car to act like this video, you have to get one with extremely low miles unfortunately. Same goes for anything CVRSS1.0 or 2.0 (97+ Deville Concours/2000+ Deville DTS, 97+ Eldorado, 98+ Seville)
I have a 1988 Eldorado Biarittz and absolutely love it, White on white with maroon leather and the moon roof,,, snowflake rims and a bose stereo,,,, the power antenna goes up and down on the rear quarter panel,,,, Cornering lamps light up at night and talk about the head and tail light monitors,,,, The mirror on the windsheild tilts when cars approach from the rear and the outter keyholes light up at night when I enter the car,,,,, where do find cars like this,,,, not in europe,,, I get tons of comments on my Cadillac and at 35 years old to boot,,,, I'll keep my Cadillac Thank You.
Cadillac made history with the 1st V8 for front wheel drive cars, unfortunately they never made a good one, but at least they built stylish and comfortable cars ❤😂
I don't think I'll ever understand how "touring" is supposed to connote a more performance-oriented version of a luxury car. If anything, it should imply an even cushier ride, as it kind of does in the "GT" distinction when it comes to the other end of the sports/luxury spectrum.
I always thought these were gorgeous cars and would love to own one today, but would be frightened away by all the now “unobtanium” electrical gadgetry they came equipped with……..🤔
TOTALLY! SAW THE MUSIC VIDEO JUST RECENTLY AND REMEMBERED THE ELDORADO... ITS A SHAME THAT THEY PROBABLY DAMAGED THE STINK OUT OF IT DOING THE CRAZY DRIVING AND SHIT LOL... IT LOOKED LIKE IT WAS IN GOOD CONDITION AT THE START OF THE VIDEO... WHAT AN ODD CAR FOR THE GROUP TO HAVE PICKED FOR THE VID...
It looked pristine, the dash and leather looked perfect. You can tell the roof panel is dented from attaching the huge figure, and yeah the unibody was probably ruined from the jump stunts. I suppose having been filmed 5 or 6 years ago most likely in California, a near 30 year old GM coupe could be pristine and also worthless. Plus, malfunctioning, irreplaceable CVRSS components could legit mechanically total even a visually perfect one. It hurt more to see it destroyed than the Fiero or ZX2 in their various other videos.
They were good cars. I liked this model better than todays cars. Soft seats. Who cares about bolsters. I’m not racing it. It’s a Caddie and a nice soft controlled ride is what I want. Go back to the 70s and make a Caddie like that and better paint and body and brake improvements and that’s all you need. God how I hate these new ones.
I briefly owned a 1990 Seville STS, pearl white with that same tan interior. Gotta say the fit/finish/quality on the interior was better than my buddies 1996 Deville and other buddy's 1994 Eldorado. The leather was also a good bit nicer/more durable. Despite being way better built, the dash layout of my Seville SUCKED ASS compared to those later Cadillacs. Cadillac in the 90's had some compelling looking cars but man were they slapped together and had some major mechanical faults(Northstar engines)
Gm gave a press car that was falling apart and had horrible finishing the build quality must of been horrible for the everyday cars no wonder everybody bought German and Japanese
It was a pile of junk when it came to quality. The buttons of the climate controls tend to fall apart after few months. The engine tends to lose alot of power over the period of time. Just like the grab handle quickly fell when you grab it hard. Typical General Motors quality.
I loved the look of these, but they were typical GM of this era - junk. These should have been RWD with more power and better quality. Cadillac was getting better at the engineering, but the quality was abysmal.
If you got your head out of your ass for a couple seconds and embrace a car regardless of what reddit thinks of it, you'd know its easier to convert cars of this age and older from front wheel drive to rear wheel drive than the shit from the 2000s and 2010s.
@@filthyanimal874Yeah that’s the long suffering outlook that cost Cadillac their customers and nearly finished GM. Point being other cars were much much better.
One of the coolest cars ever made!!!

I have a 91 Seville STS with the 4.9. Its a torque monster.
Beautiful! I would happily drive one today
these 4.9L cars were plenty fast in these days, 200hp was more than adequate in that body style....
Such a handsome GM luxury coupe, I don't care for the '92 redesign

Cadillac Eldorado 1985-1988 is my favorite car. Luxuous, great space interior, solid and fantastic engine
This was the very top of GM's dominance in the world market and economy
Cadillac made history with the 1st V8 for front wheel drive cars, unfortunately they never made a good one, but at least they built stylish and comfortable cars ❤😂
The 4.5 was a good engine, and the 4.9 was a great engine. powerful, long-lived, and economical for its power.
Oldsmobile Toronado with front wheel drive had the 425 V8 in 1966, one year before the Eldorado in 1967 with the Cadillac 429.
Fit & Finish. GM's specialty!
that's a quick car for the time!
What ARE YOU KIDDING ME the oh crap Handel falls off of a thirty five thousand dollar Cadillac how dare that happens 😂
The guy with the gloves on goes crazy with buttons and the shift lever😂😂😂
I've always loved GM's car designs ...owned a 1990's Celebrity (Chev) ...my dad wanted to sell for G.M. ...I also owned a Pontiac 5000 😊
Absolutely love these
I really love this type of videos ❤❤❤

Beauty this Cadillac Eldorado. Luxury and comfortable car
Lol the grab handle that comes off. GM quality at it best 🤣
I always liked these 💖
When they rounded the lines and reduced the size, they took away the personality, which was the most important thing.
I always thought these were gorgeous cars and would love to own one today, but would be frightened away by all the now “unobtanium” electrical gadgetry they came equipped with……..🤔
They are great in a lot simpler compared to today's cars trust me you wouldn't regret it
Haha, I legit just watched the Portugal. The Man video with a red Eldorado TC acting as a huge skateboard.

I CAN'T BELIEVE SOMEONE ELSE REMEMBERED THE TYPE OF CAR (ESPECIALLY BEING THE TOP TOURING COUPE MODEL) NICE JOB... 👍

TRUE THAT BRO!
PROBABLY 10,000 BUCKS AT THE MOST!
Not really a Cadillac fan but I thought these looked good. I think the design has aged well.

Beautiful Caddy
Thank you! 🤗
3:24 😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
'We're Americans too'... How quaint. Wonder what he thinks of whats left...???
3:17 & 3:24..............did you REALLY expect anything different from a General Mistakes product, John?!!!!
LOL!!!
Today the 300CE is worth $20k. The Eldorado $2k.
Notice how he calls it a "Turing coupe" rather than a touring coupe.

With a little more fine tuning the eldorado could've had Corvette like performance and reflexes
"Eldo"?
that grab handle is very very embarassing, especially for posh brands like cadillac, truly tells how refined they were
Gm gave a press car that was falling apart and had horrible finishing the build quality must of been horrible for the everyday cars no wonder everybody bought German and Japanese
One of the best eldorado TC beautiful sports car, pathetic drivetrain though.
20 mpg and 15.9 1/4 mile is excellent for 1991.
Blind
With the exception of poor quality, in typical GM fashion, this is the product that should have been released on day 1
It was a pile of junk when it came to quality. The buttons of the climate controls tend to fall apart after few months. The engine tends to lose alot of power over the period of time.

🤣🤣🤣🤣
I'll take one then the boring Asian plastic or most European trash from that era if I want a cruiser luxury coupe
@LJ Morris then you will be stuck with the headache for owning the Cadillac. while I am still driving my Asian cheap plastic car.
@@ubiased23 What headache?, Your headache of plastic and little buzzy motor Asian cars from that era?.
Cool story

They’re not that bad. I’ve owned 2 and they were always pretty reliable. I sold them to buy a Harley-Davidson. 😁 I love this motorcycle!!!!

The car is trash.
