The auto has limited boost in 1st and 2nd gear that why the 0-60 is so slow. I have one with a stage 2 tune and on a highway it walks on most v8s that are N/A. Honestly might be one of the best "tiptronic" style autos full boost shifts are nice.

These minivans especially the Dodge grand caravan, looked very futuristic back in 2001, especially when compared to a Honda Odyssey, Ford Windstar or Chevy Venture. They looked like 2010 models even though they stoped being produced in 2007.

03 ES300 owner here. Just hit 280K miles and still running strong. Hell, oil still looks pretty clean after 3K miles. This is hands downl the most reliable car I’ve ever owned or even driven. More reliable than any friend or family members’ cars… regular maintenance is the key. Having a garage to park in most of its life doesn’t hurt much either 😉

That front wheel drive ruined the car.....if it had 4*4 optional it would have been a killer car

Drove one of these from 2003-2022 Gave plenty of issues in its last few years, but the end results was 400k miles and almost two decades of driving. If I got half as much out of my next car, it'd be a steal.

I'll never understand what the point is in all these videos with the ridiculous wrestling of the shifter. Akin to trying to loosen a sapling or stump from the ground. Not only unnecessary but a downright abuse of a "borrowed" machine. Really turns me off.

Nice historical automotive film. My wife had one left over from bought new in college. She paid $50 a month. No air conditioning. So it should have had a wind wing like the old VW Beetle. I used to manually adjust her Excel's valves. Around 65,000 miles the Korean rubber engine seals began to leak. A Huyndai service manager confided at that about that mileage "They all do." It's a great retro review back from when Motor Week did them on cars Americans actually wanted and could afford. Thanks for the memories.

These cars got such a bad wrap from reviewers. This was happening all the way into the 2010’s when the DTS and the town cars were discontinued. People were still talking shit about them.
