It's three syllables, "em-bra-er". a) "Em" (like "am" in "i am something"). b) "Bra", just like the undergarment! NONE of the vowels for cat, hat, bird, brie, beer, bear, eer, none of that. e) "er", with the vowel "⟨ɛ⟩" of "bed". the sound of the final "r" is as usual. The problem is trying to pronounce "ae" like one single long vowel. It is not, it's two short different vowels. Put a tiny little bit pause between "a" and "e". It will be a perfect pronunciation if you do that!!!

India would be well advised to go for the Embraer C 390 for their requirement of medium transport aircraft rather than the C 130J. Lockheed Martin are coming up with foolish offers of converting the Hercules into a gunship which are practically useless in today's scenario.
I hope Indian airforce selects C-390 for their medium transport aircraft program. Unofficially there are three aircrafts competing: C-130J, C-390 and A-400. 12 C-130J are operated by IAF and LM has tie up with TATA and is opening a MRO facility for Hercules in India. Airbus is going to manufacture C-295 aircraft in India with Tata for IAF and A-400 if selected can be manufactured here along with C-295. But I think C-390 is a good option because it can carry more load than Hercules(26tons>20tons) and is less expensive than A-400. Indian airforce requirement for MTA is around 60-80 aircrafts.
I am brazilian. The factory is less than 20 minutes flying from my home. I followed some flying tests by flight radar app. Sometimes more than 8 hours of flight.

Entendo pouco mas ouvi dizer que existem 2 tipos de aeronaves para esse tipo de missão. A produzida pelos americanos possui motores turbo-hélice o que permite aterrisar em pistas de pouca infraestrutura, terra ou até nos polos da terra. Já essa aeronave da embraer possui motores a jato e voam em maiores altitudes, atingem maiores distâncias, aguentam maior peso de transporte e se saem bem em pistas de terra também. India would be well advised to go for the Embraer C 390 for their requirement of medium transport aircraft rather than the C 130J. Lockheed Martin are coming up with foolish offers of converting the Hercules into a gunship which are practically useless in today's scenario.

I hope Indian airforce selects C-390 for their medium transport aircraft program. Unofficially there are three aircrafts competing: C-130J, C-390 and A-400. 12 C-130J are operated by IAF and LM has tie up with TATA and is opening a MRO facility for Hercules in India. Airbus is going to manufacture C-295 aircraft in India with Tata for IAF and A-400 if selected can be manufactured here along with C-295. But I think C-390 is a good option because it can carry more load than Hercules(26tons>20tons) and is less expensive than A-400. Indian airforce requirement for MTA is around 60-80 aircrafts.

The C-390 is a brilliant design with great potential. Only time will tell if it has the inherent durability to withstand long term usage. Embaer will also have to deal with the issue of production capacity. It needs a strategic partner(s) to take on manufacture outside Brazil. One thing you can be sure of is that the mighty Herc will still be in service a century after it entered production.

O C 130j provavelmente seja a última tentativa de estender o projeto ao máximo, já o C 390 tem um projeto novo com muitas atualizações ainda e vida útil maior, racionalmente a melhor escolha, os próprios fuzileiros americanos já declararam quem se adequa melhor as suas operações.
Entendo pouco mas ouvi dizer que existem 2 tipos de aeronaves para esse tipo de missão.
A produzida pelos americanos possui motores turbo-hélice o que permite aterrisar em pistas de pouca infraestrutura, terra ou até nos polos da terra.
Já essa aeronave da embraer possui motores a jato e voam em maiores altitudes, atingem maiores distâncias, aguentam maior peso de transporte e se saem bem em pistas de terra também.
Acredito que assim como os aviões tucano o KC-390 é um produto fantástico da aviação brasileira que pode auxiliar missões por todo o mundo e espero que possam ser usadas para o bem da humanidade.
