If you're not getting money from ads, why's there so so many? Eh?
I do not control the ads on my TH-cam videos. TH-cam can place ads on videos even if the channel is not getting paid. TH-cam has full control of that, not me. I hope this clears it up?
@@in2movies I’m sorry.
All good. Don't worry about it. 😉
I just started watching this show. I'm a New Yorker, and believe British comedy beats the rubbish in the United States hands down. The lines and timing are incredible.
Hi new york fan of the new york rangers form Scotland
2&1/2 men always makes me chuckle too, from U.K.
I can’t believe the American version of this show failed
Mildred was always beautifully dressed and groomed.
I have very fond memories of this great series. Thank you for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it
She really was well presented. I remember watching this as a child, and thought they were old. I’m now six years older than Yootha Joyce when she died.
@@jaijai5250I am now 53 the same age Yootha was when she died. 😢
You cant beat these old tv shows.i dont care what ya say.
Yeah they are great. I have watched all the TH-cam Steptoe and Son episodes too quite a bit over the years. As for American drama I watched tons of Bonanza too over decades (hated animal trapping talk though and did wonder how the horses were treated). The invaders was great too (scary). Later Brit comedy 'are you being served' too. The old shows from 60s to 80s and some drama through the 90s. I haven't watched TV for years. Only things online. I wish we had lots more George and Mildred.
I remember watching this episode as a child and it seems as good now as it was then. G&M was classic tv, and was watched by huge tv audiences back in the day (20 million plus). 😮
Watching these brings back many memories of simpler, happier times. Thanks for showing them.
Glad you enjoyed it
R.I.P Yootha and thank you for all the wonderful memories ❤
...and the Gin.
Thx so much for putting this Brit comedy classic up, its so theraputic in this day and age of want and materisim, a harder lower tech but simpler life
The entire premise is materialistic people juxtaposed with George’s simpleton ways.
Things haven’t changed as much as people want to believe. They can romanticize the past but human nature doesn’t change.
@@meanwyle4383you’ve expressed my thoughts perfectly. Mildred’s entire existence was about social acceptance through material possession. Her sister married a man who was able to provide those wants.
@@meanwyle4383 true true but George seemed to care about literally..NOTHING...Inc. but not limited to the acquisition of material goods.....
@@bladerubber Similar theme to Keeping up appearances.
I was still at school when this was on TV. Forgot how funny it was. Spin off of "Man about the house".
First time seeing this show. I was hooked within the first few minutes! I have come to prefer british comedy. It's like a relaxed easy going, yet snarky comedy they accomplish without hardly even trying. Only the brits can pull that off.
Love George and mildred. Still funny to watch love it ❤❤❤😂😂😂😅😅😅
Pure genius from start to finish...🥰🤣🙂
I love the ending to this one.😂😂😂
great show the years 70s and 80s
A true simple comedy classic without foul language.Very funny comedy.Better than the crap today.
Thanks ❤ love this serie!
Glad you enjoy it. 🙂
Love this so much I have watched many times and it makes me laugh!
This show is so funny
Could not agree more. 👍
Brilliant series!
20:02 "How much for the dead budgie?" 😅
I like the intro - Mildred smells the flower, then George pulls up in his what'chacall.
Please keep putting these on your channel ❤
We will! Please share. Thanks 😊
Mi just started watching it l love it up going on,5 months ago it and going on 😊😅😮😢🎉❤❤❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂😊😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Love this episode still funny to watch 😅😅😂😂❤❤
You give us such a lot of good quality viewing. God bless 💎
Thank you. 😊 Please share. 🙏
Absolutely love the one liners 😅
Fantastic comedy
This is a breath of fresh air 😂
Poor Mildred 😞!
I know! I’d rather face the social disgrace of divorce than be married to George, for 26 years.
I’ve been looking for it. So glad I found it
67 yr old grew up Britcom's
good clean entertainment nice to see
Love, Britt comedy
We need more britsh movie and sures exspeshley , 70s and 80s , dreamer and comady 😊❤
I didn't realise the neighbour, Mr. Fourmile, is the same actor who played Robin's brother, and married Chrissie, in Man About The House until I read it on Wikipedia. Man looks completely different with glasses and a moustache.
I've always thought that it must have been difficult for Robin being in love with Crissy and he'd have to see her with his brother the rest of his life
I know it isn't real, I'm just hypothesising
@@SamuelBlack84 Nothing wrong with hypothesising about our favourite old shows. Did you ever watch Paula Wilcox in The Lovers, with Richard Beckinsale from Rising Damp and Porridge? It was very early 70s, and is on TH-cam.
Not being familiar with Yootha Joyce's role before Man About The House, yesterday I looked up what she was doing before. Found her in episodes of On The Buses, The Saint with Roger Moore, the pilot episode of Open All Hours with Ronnie Barker, playing a villain in The Avengers with Patrick MacNee, and also playing a villain in Jason King. Interesting.
@@highdefboxing8056 I have seen her in the Lovers. I've always had a crush on her
Yootha Joyce was also in Steptoe and Son
@@SamuelBlack84 Yes, I checked her whole output on Wikipedia. I haven't looked up her episode of Steptoe yet. But I heard about that one yesterday on the Yootha Joyce Facebook fan page. She also did an episode of Redcap, the military detective series with John Thaw, ten years before he did The Sweeney. Can't find that episode on TH-cam, though. Back in 1979, I was working on a building site in Bayswater, and although I was off that day, the guys on site told me that Yootha Joyce had walked past one day.
Since you've always fancied Paula Wilcox (same here), I guess you watched her in Miss Jones & Son, which I thought was a rubbish comedy?
@highdefboxing8056 I've actually never heard of it
They were good actors in those days knew how to read and EXPRESS their scripts. Unlike today when sometimes mostly is read expressionless and monotone
I love milderd, spuppy dog, love no the breed the dig is , love the show
George could have made a fortune nowadays with his teddy boy jacket beetle crushers ovaltinies badge and cards an vinyls.
22:49. ~ Perfect name for a 'jazz mag' ~ TITTER !
Funny what that tin milk called 😮
It's called *Carnation* milk.
Like Midred i do appreciate a well laid table
This is what the Ropers should have been
Funny. He thiink his the father two. Fsh 😮
mildred dead at 50,half bottle of brady a nite
I dont know why but i really dont like the guy who plays the copper, in anything hes ever done 🤷♀️
For what reason?
@@victorvalentine1173 I really don't know 🤷♀️. I just never have
He seems good playing a down to earth guy.
Marriage Counselors are awful.
Cah-nape...? Wonder if monty python was referencing this turn of phrase about the CUH- knights...hm
Also I'm American..lol if this sounds foolish to the Brits
