You must have had a proud moment realising that you rode down there all on your own all the way from the UK. That is a HUGH accomplishment mate, pat yourself on the back and take a sip of beer. And your journey is continuing, amazing. Not many people your age doing this, travelling down there by bike IS travelling.

this is super interresting.. I would love to see some kind of "debreefing" video? to see your thoughts / reflections on your trip and what you learned from it all..maybe review your bike.. or some tips for other aspiring travelers or advice. Ive been following you on instagram for a while now too, you are living life man! :D - ride safe!

Well done! Glad to see a westerner like yourself not afraid to venture into Africa. Glad to see your passage through Biafra land (Onitsha, Owerri, Aba, Calaba) was safe. G-D willing next time you make that trip with your Yamaha Tenere 700, it will be more modern.... Shalom!

For me that is the best of all your Africa videos so far. I was totally absorbed for every mile. Nigeria seems a long way away from the ordered sanity of UK. But although it is different you seem to be made welcome everywhere which must be reassuring. I hope your family, when they watch these videos, feel they did the right thing to let you go. Also I must say the Honda 250 is excelling itself and I hope you are pleased you went with a "small" bike rather than one of the 1200cc tourers.

If that dude with the white stick on the border was a friendly one, I can't imagine what the unfriendly ones are like.

I guess this is 'older footage' as you are now in South Africa if I understand correctly? Like most places most people are 'very hospitable' to use your words... stay alert, keep your wits about you, and stay safe mate... awesome trip and footage....good move to follow the locals through that flood zone by the way. Take care and take care of you...

Don’t hold back with your thoughts on the city and people. It might sound too honest but really it would be good to here.

I do same journey lots of times with a car, am looking forward with a bike. Crossing and paying corrupt officials at the border you should have not you are making them more corrupt.

Congratulations young man. This was a real adventure because you were alone, no safety net and living by your own resources. It has to be said that you also needed a big slice of luck. Having said that; after Morocco, the countries looked dull, grim and indistinguishable from each other. They are overpopulated, unhealthy and for a Brit must be passed through as fast as that fine little bike will go. For all you budding would be Harveys out there, there is a reason millions of Africans are heading or planning to head to Europe.
