Just came across this series of videos. Although I could never muster up the nerve to try anything remotely adventurous as this I truly enjoy living vicariously through you . I honestly think Honda should pay the rights to run your videos in every dealership in the world. They wouldn't be able to keep the little Honda that could in stock. Yourself along with Steph Jeavons have proved the CRF250L is truly a world traveler. Great on you man. Please keep adventuring for us that can't. Your videos are inspiring.
You seek out adventure Harvey, very inspirational indeed. Not many would follow in your footsteps. Well done mate glad to hear your injuries are on the mends. 🖒
Loved the chat about people being happy with what they have. It is a different world in Africa and Asia, a better world. In the West, everyone wants more and more and are never satisfied.
I am so glad your injuries where not a bad as you feared.Your journey has been good to view and follow but for me the extra nterest is items such as arriving at the hostel, how you deal with the locals, the way they deal with your injuries and what indeed the city looks like from your view point You seem to have moved from showing us the roads and the problems of the journey to just comments when you arrive and where you go next. Its still great to see you doing the journey but we who cant go, love to share with you your triumphs and tribulations, and the folks you meet. Happy travelling mate .
Did you already reach Namibia? The toughest and hardest roads of Africa are already behind you, I hope. Your video-reports are very interesting! Temperatures are more and more moderate now, aren't they? Enjoy your ride...!! Thomas from beautiful Klagenfurt in Austria.
Good to hear no major injuries. Don't know how many miles you have traveled, but 4 chain sets sounds excessive. Are you running a good o-ring chain? For your trip, might be a better option.
Though am an African but I wouldn't take this risk to ride a bike through Africa that said big congratulations to you I hope one some Africans can follow your initiative, thanks body
hey man went through a couple of your videos wicked stuff! - may I ask.. do you think you would use a rack next time on the bike under the luggage system? or was it fine as it is whenever you dropped the bike and plastics can't really break?
Followed you for a long while now - and apologies if I've missed it - but, do you carry tools to take off your rear wheel and sprockets ( and tools to change your head bearings for that matter) or do you just get the shops to do the work? So good to hear you're ok from the accident btw..I think the biking fraternity were chewing off their fingernails with worry ;)
One word: indefatigable. Another: brilliant. Enjoying the terrible camera work that shows easygoing generosity, not 'look at me.' Bravo... sort of. Good job, for sure.
Wow, that pass was insanely beautiful, did not expect that in Angola.

Good to hear that are OK. I like your impressions of Angola, and in particular your observations about life in Africa and the people.

What an absolute epic grand tour! My late-to-the-party-two-cents. mirror: doubletake mirror. Virtually indestructible. I bought mine way to late.
Definitely a land of contrasts as you say.

Hey mate, how many kilometers does your bike have now? Did you have any issues with the cam chain tensioner?
Is that the tent you brought in Ireland when you brought the Varedo?
Looks very much like my budget decathlon special
Budget Decathlon special, 20 Euro bought in Spain, lasted the whole 5 Months just needed the main zip replacing
How do you manage your expense ?
Great video but Tell me in a look like that how can you tent under a Electric poal like that 😎😈
Your some man for one man. Stay safe and keep the rubber side down.
Why all the ship wreaks in one place?
I suspect they are being broken up on the beach at end of life rather than storm wrecks

When I was in Angola in the 90's what I noticed was the missing middle classes, you either had it or didn't -simples!
First like and first comment !
Spare a thought in Rwanda for those folk obliterated not so many years back.

You showed way too little video of the main character: the actual riding!!
