The KDF9 was 48-bit mainframe computer built by English Electric (later ICL*). The KDF9 was designed primarily for mathematical and scientific computing. It’s sister KDF8 was designed for commercial computing.
*When ICL still existed, those in the industry half-jokingly said that stood for ‘It’s Coming Later’ and that IBM stood for ‘It’s Being Mended’.

Is there anything more quintessentially English than the pealing of church bells through the changes?
I’m not sure how many sets of ‘working’ bells there are in Oxford, but the largest is Christ Church (it would be) with 12.

St Hugh’s & Lady Margaret Hall? St Benet’s Hall was the last all-male to accept women.
