    Wow! I went to a podiatrist a couple years ago, and my toes weren’t that bad yet. He just sort said that he didn’t know how to do anything to fix that, that they would keep curling, nothing he could think of to prevent it or to rehabilitate it. I’m glad to see this video. To my mechanical thinking, I kind of knew that other doctor had to be wrong.

    That's really good info, my foot doctor at Kaiser said I have an option of surgery that consisted of having a rod in the second toe for 8 weeks, but it's open at the top of toe which could result in infection, then I would have to be on anti-biotics for the rest of my life. Who wants that? He mentioned nothing about exercises like this doctor mentioned. Thanks Doc.

    Thanks for the video, I'm going to try this and see if it works. I don't know how 'rigid' my hammer toe is by medical standards but fingers crossed this will loosen things up and straighten it out :)

    Can I still work on dorsiflexion while doing this exercise or should I cut back and only focus on this toe extensor stretch until I gain more flexibility?

    My Dr. gave me no other choice for my Hammer Toe other then surgery. Do we buy these separators online or are they custom made

    What happens if you had the surgery & it returns? Any suggestions? Thank you.

      Do your best to maintain mobility. Do toe extensor stretches. Consider wearing natural shoes without heel elevation or toe spring.

    Store locator won’t work, link for shoe guide doesn’t work either.

      Hi Michele, thanks for drawing this to our attention! We've updated the shoe guide and are working on getting our store locator back up and running.

    Thanks for this video! But what if you have a rigid hammertoe? Is surgery the only option.

      +elizabeth w Unfortunately if you don't have movement in the joint then Correct Toes won't be able to help reverse the hammertoe.

      +Correct Toes Hello, I have the same question as Elizabeth W. Is surgery the only option if the hammertoe is rigid? Thank you!

    • @correcttoes
      @correcttoes  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, Carrie. If the hammertoe is very rigid, Correct Toes would not be a viable option for the issue. We suggest you check with your physician to see what you can do going forward.

    I like your vids, but you need a new camera person. Or just let them know we can't see the toe and demonstration, when your hands are in the way. Thank you

      @@correcttoes thank you. I appreciate your reply. Since my comment, I've seen my chiropractor, had a acupuncture session and today saw my (kinda useless, when it comes to providing education) podiatrist. I'm now in the market for metatarsal cushioning runners. Hoka etc.

      @@MikiDoodleMom Our recommendation is to find a shoe more like Altra, it is zero drop, cushioned, and has a wide toe box, opposed to the Hoka and hoka like shoes.

      @@correcttoes you're some online person who's never even met me, and you're going to recommend something in opposition to what my podiatrist has recommended? Interesting.

      @@MikiDoodleMom Considering you are on our site looking for assistance, isn't that what we're supposed to do? If you understood what our product and facility is about that you'd understand that we really only recommend barefoot, minimalist, zero drop shoes. That's a lot of what we are about- strengthening the feet in a natural way and educating folks on the idea that feet are shaped a particular way that Hokas and other shoes do not support, in fact they can cause many of the long term issues.
