Hi! I have two issues with the statement that Remarkable allows us to think more deeply simply because it is free from distractions. The first is that deep thinking cannot usually be constrained to an A4-sized sheet. A larger board is needed, preferably an infinite canvas, to give our thoughts freedom of movement. And Remarkable does not offer that; it is a screen that limits space (and thought) in the same way as an A4 sheet. It invites taking linear notes due to that limitation. And we already know that complex thinking is not linear. The other issue is that the distraction argument assumes that by choosing to use Remarkable, we suddenly don’t have a phone, Apple Watch, or other electronic devices vying for our attention. If we are strong enough to keep all other devices out of reach to focus solely on Remarkable, then we could also be strong enough to use a focus mode, like airplane mode, that allows us to work only on an iPad, for example.

Interesting, had never tought about the relationship between screen sizes and deep thinking. Googled for studies on this and found this one www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0167876021001835 that says in the abstract 'Recent e-learning studies have also demonstrated a positive effect related to larger screen sizes on a student's ability to recall information immediately after a pre-recorded lecture (Al Ghamdi et al., 2016; Park et al., 2018).' So it is worth investigating this relationship further...
However I don't think it reduces the merit of someone trying, in whatever screen size - specially one that allows for portability - to aid concentration.
Willpower is a limited resource, so any product that reduces friction, and spares willpower for other pursuits - specially in the context of many (most?) tech products engineered to deplete both willpower and concentration - deserves my appreciation.
PS: With the bonus of being a beautiful and elegant product IMO.
