Thanks for finding an alternative reed replacement. I replaced mine about 8 years ago but couldn't find a replacement now except for some sketchy web sites. I also went through replacing all the part you did the first time.

Glad it helped. The reed valve works great. Overall the compressor runs like new. It’s been a few weeks now it is still holding pressure. Builds up much faster too.

I have had this same compressor since I purchased it new sometime between 2002 and 2005. Only issue I have had is the pressure adjustment knob has a brass left-hand thread nut in it that strips out after a while. I think I replaced it about 15 years ago and now today I went to use it and the same issue happened. Some people want $49. for the knob alone but I found it for $15. Luckily I found the spring that works with it as well so I did not have to order that; people want a lot of money for that as well.
It's as loud as possible but it's worked well.I'll have to remember this video if I have any other issues.
I don't really know that much about compressors, I have wondered if you had an additional holding tank attacked to a compressor like this would the compressor be able to accomodate the additional volume of tank and therefore give me a longer run time between recharging?

My motor went bad, I can’t figure out how to remove the bearing to remove the motor. Any suggestions

Does yours have a drain plug?

Hey Ed my compressor comes up to full pressure and works fine. The only issue is once I use the compressor and try to turn it on it struggles to compress so much that it stalls. Could it be the check valve? Where did you find one?
