- In WV There is hot dog sauce and some my call it chili well in small Marion county town they have Yanns hot dog stand which has been in business for year everyone know about hillbilly hot dogs but these are yanns which is a hot hotdog sauce you can find so lets see how it turns out also if we get enough interest i will show the recipe

Would love the full recipe if you’re still around …. I grew up in fairmont and moved several years ago and don’t make it back there often enough to get these hot dogs because they are hardly ever open when I’m around the area

it is very simple. 1 pound hamburger, 8 ounces chili powder, 2 cups water, 1 table spoon black powder, 1 teaspoon salt, pepper seeds to taste and simmer for 6 hours. add water if needed. dont drain fat.

My wife was a caregiver for Russell Yanns mother 30 some years ago. She wrote down the recipe on a piece of brown paper bag. Still have it. You're close though.
Yanns is my favorite place to go to get a hot dog 🌭 definitely a 10/10

Need my Yanns fix bad! Live in Florida and don’t get home as much as I want.
What is the actual portions of the paprika, salt, pepper, and chili powder you used since your clearly from the region and have the familiar pallet of what Yann made? I believe you when you say its damn close, but I am not sure of the amounts. I have tried to figure out his recipe for years. Saw a couple recipes on google but nothing really ever came close. This seems promising. I must recreate what that man had, remember buying them by the dozen and guzzling chocolate milk when he was still living way back 20 years ago. Other than chicago dogs, it is the premier hot dog sauce in my opinion a unique experience. Nobody every expects fire hot chili sauce that creeps up by the third dog and ruins you by the 6th.

It’s either a love or hate for sure
They only sell 3000 a day. They are good and yes, they are warm.
