      My mother in law had a stroke almost 2yrs ago. She cannot use her arm and leg and cannot speak. She can only say cus words and baba baba. The docs say it’s no use to attempt speech therapy again. She had a ton problems after her stroke that interrupted her therapy and now I feel like they just don’t want to put in the work.

      Mine too. In Feb of 2022. Devastating as she was only 50 at the time. She Cannot walk or talk almost two years later. Mostly immobile. She is fully conscious we communicate through eye contact such as nodding yes or no. She stays at a facility. How is yours doing?

    God bless u!! I’m a stroke survivor 3 yrs at the end of June I was 45 yrs old it was devastating for me. I’m still rehabilitating I walk with a cane now spent 7 weeks in hospital had to learn to do everything over every day I’m getting more & more independent. I really miss working I drove school bus for 17 yrs came home from work one day and life changed forever! But I’m here! U keep up the good the work it’s hard but it’s worth it!! 🙏🏼🦾

    I know what you’re going through I had a major stroke in 2016 as well. Walking 30 steps seemed impossible let alone 10 feet. Everyone is different but one thing that helped me was Electric stimulation. My physical therapist had no problem using it on my leg but when it came to occupational therapist said he didn’t believe it that. My arm was months behind on rehabilitation compared to my leg. Hang in there guys.😉

    why wasnt he walking with quad cane

    • @henryhawkins1194
      @henryhawkins1194 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Because he was probably tired of the cane like I was, and wanted to be more independent. I'm sure he does use the cane or walker also. I'm so proud of him.

      Yeah............. in return for thousands of dollars.............. I'm 2 years post stroke living in the UK on benefits, How do I afford to go to Florida? Let alone pay the upwards of $6,500 for each shot of Etanercept, of which there is no guarantee of success.
