  • I am so excited to finally share my NYC empty apartment with you all. This is a one bedroom and one bath apartment in Manhattan. The monthly rent is $2,350. I just can’t wait to decorate the apartment and make it my own. Never thought I would be living in the city in my 30s. So excited to start this chapter with you guys.

    Good choice. Surprised they don’t have apartment cleaned for you before you move in. Guess NY can get away with that practice. Enjoy.

      Thank you :) It was dirty!! I spent the first week just deep cleaning and had so many issues (will be in upcoming vlogs). Learned not to have high expectation 😂

      You could have asked the landlord to clean the place before signing the lease.

      @@mindyourbizokthey’re supposed to automatically do it according to housing regulation. My house looked even worse than this when I moved in. SMH. Landlords are terrible.

    No broker's fee, how fantastic! I love the huge windows and all the storage, very nice for the price. You can add small-scale shelving to that one wall in the kitchen--for spices, canned goods, etc., maybe? I follow a couple of NYC apt. vlogs and the vloggers all have tiny kitchens so have had special cutting boards made to fit over the tops of their stoves--to create counter space when they're not actually using the burners. Then when they do need to cook on the stove, they can put the board over the sink instead. Your idea to purchase a kitchen island totally makes sense too. Can't wait to see what you do with this pretty little apartment! I love the old brownstones, such beautiful architectural details and comfy "old family home" vibe! Congrats!!

      Thank you so much! Love the idea of the small-scale shelves and cutting board!!! Any counter space helps :) whenever I used to imagine how my nyc apartment would be… I always used to think of brownstone buildings with big windows, high ceiling and moldings and this one has it all. Agreed!! Comfy old nyc family home vibe 💖

    I know Manhattan is expensive, sure! But omg this is soo much money for this little room! Maybe I just can’t image because in Germany it’s so „cheap“?😂

      Right!!! I got lucky that this is 1 bedroom. Other apartments I saw were literally a shoebox. You will see the other options in the apartment hunting video 😊

    Oh my! This is so exciting!!! There are so many things to get for small spaces that help a lot and look great!!! I also have a camper so I “glamp” and I’ll be decorating and doing storage ideas in there soon!!! I just got it in August and left it in the Jellystone park we have a seasonal spot there. I’ve been buying things for it since. They have sink covers. You can get one and it will give you some counter space in your kitchen and even one for over the stove! Lots of cool stuff to organize too!!! I can’t wait to see how you decorate 🎉

      @TishaShrestha  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you so much for all the recommendations Nicole 💖💖💖I think I’ll be getting both sink and stove covers. Even with the kitchen island, I still need more counter space. If you have any other recommendations/links, please send it over :)) Good luck decorating the camper! I have always wanted to do glamping :))

    Congrats on your new apartment. It looks great!! Is your bedroom on a first floor? The windows in your bedroom from the outside looks like it would lack privacy so your idea to buy curtains or a privacy screen will be good

    That is not a full sized fridge or a full sized stove. Those are all compact applicances. Only common in cramped cities like NYC. I am a NYC native. This is part of why I left. I pay less than you in rent and I have a 3 bedroom house with a giant backyard and screened in porch.

      Maybe in the US but these are a normal size fridge and normal size stove in most parts of Europe, and definitely more than what is needed for one person.
