ngl i dont like star cards, players should have an advantage for being skillful alone, along with maybe switching your hero/villain for counter-picking. With star cards, it makes veteran players better, not only because they are more experienced, but the but also because they have the best star cards setup while newcomers wont. What are your thoughts on this mindset?
Sandzyboy eh, you get star cards so easily not only by leveling but also using scraps to make them so its not like you’re stuck in the position under the people who have star cards for awhile. Plus, they are quite balanced in that they won’t be too overpowered in that you kill anyone without star cards.
Boba's for the hunt is actually amazing. It increases undraining jetpack time, so you can fly insanely far. As a side note, if you hit a round object as Boba, you can gain a lot of height in a matter of seconds. Boba was just nerfed way too hard, he is now a pretty bottom of the barrel hero.
@@chrisgaming1286 A decent Chewbacca could easily antiair Boba though. It takes a bit practice to lead your bowcaster shots, but if you catch the rhythym of it, you can basically ragdoll poor Boba around the map anytime he uses his jetpack.

As someone who mains darth vader heavily, I wanna say that I always have ran the first 3 cards forever, but recently I think I like the “surrounded by fear” card a ton better than extended lightsaber throw. (At least on some maps) but in general I’ve had a tough time with maintaining darth vaders stamina, and I felt that this stamina card just lets me destroy troop after troop without stopping, and in turn lets me play better defense when I need to as well. And I feel like the light saber throw just isn’t worth it in dire situations as is the stamina card
Vader on kessel is so satisfying fr, you really feel the power of his dark side 😂 jus go into a tight hallway, pop his main ability, and start choking and slashing them down, my favorite time wit vader 😂

Even though I've unlocked purple tiers for all characters, I'd still like to see a progressive hero guide, telling which cards to get and which ones to upgrade as you level up your heroes

I've been running these setups and I've got to say most of them work really well I do feel sorry for bb9e for not having much for hero modes and boba for his rocket barrage cards changes
Everyone, when choosing cards for Luke, “Jedi Fighter” (the card that gives him more stamina) is absolutely essential. People don’t seem to know that Luke’s stamina is actually worse than someone like anakin, so in my opinion this card is a must.
Jedi fighter is a card for new players who aren’t used to maintaining their stamina. More experienced players can hold themselves from spamming their saber so they (including me) swap it out with extended push reach, rush immunity and/or Jedi reflexes
just wanna quickly point out with maul that if you run flow motion you can also choose fool me once which makes cooldowns 10% faster, so youre not gaining any cooldown time and you get faster cooldowns for both other abilities
For specifically count dooku I use domiance, finesse and masterful duelist reason being If people are spamming attacks or holding block hit expose weakness and duelist dominance giving you 20% more damage while expose weakness is active and masterful duelist giving you extra 20 damage while duelist is active with this combo along with 35% less stam drain you can literally MELT people so if you dont know what cards to use for dooku I would highly recommend this setup for hero modes remember Dominance, masterful duelist, and finesse
For Boba, I think one of his best cards is his “for the hunt” card. This increases the amount of time enemies are revealed to you. This may seem like a very minor change, however it is very helpful. Especially on maps with high amounts of foliage such as Kashyyk, Endor, and Takodana. It also helps you keep track of enemys in close quarter situations. It’s also worth mentioning for the hunt has a very short recharge time. With this card enabled, it reveals enemy’s for almost its entire duration. So looking at it from that perspective, you will know your enemy’s location about 80% of the time.
That card is very good for most situations in galactic assault. I found his choices for boba cards to be a little off imo, I like to run focalize,augmented gear, and the extended exposure card.
I remember making so many hero and reinforcement concepts in my free time for this game. I, like many others, witnessed the game’s redemption firsthand. The cancellation still tastes sour and I remember being genuinely sad when I heard the news. Now it’s sad to see how quickly this game has faded into obscurity for me. It used to be THE online game I played with friends. The excellent Deep Rock Galactic now holds that honour. I mostly play single player now anyways. I have so many memories from this game. Good and bad.
😔I got this the day it came out and still played when it was pay to win. The redemption was amazing but the cancellation was not. I still play to this day.
Great vid, but there are a few cards that just don’t make sense to use in Hero modes, especially Showdown. Steamrolller for Anakin is practically useless in Showdown because to even get the smallest maximum decrease in stamina reduction (25% for the base starcard), you’d have to do 2,500 damage, which likely isn’t going to happen the majority of the time. For Yoda, Jedi Mentor is a much better alternative to Feel the Force. Having an 8% damage reduction is going to be much more beneficial than having an extra 60 health bonus from presence since most hero attacks do a lot of base damage. For Rey, I feel like Focused Sight is a much better card than Opportunist since insight already halves stamina costs and deals bonus damage, not to mention that it’s going to be more difficult to hit an enemy when they’re mind tricked because they just jump spam or dash. For Dooku, I think Dominance is a much better choice than Balanced Duelist. A 4 second cooldown reduction isn’t a huge deal compared to an increase of 20% damage while Expose Weakness is active. If you pair Masterful Duelist and Balanced Duelist like you said, then only 1 ability will have increased damage when it would make more sense to have both abilities do more damage, that way you can cycle between them while the other is on cooldown

For Anakin I use attraction, raw strength and steamroll on large scale game modes at first. With this set up I tend to stay alive and his stamina last a bit longer but recently I replaced steamroll with massive strikes and tbh idk it kinda makes it easier in my opinion but those are the cards I run for anakin
As much as Captain Phasma isn't super great, she really is a TANK. 50% damage resistance and a massive healthpool and strong melee attacks let her go toe to toe with even lightsabre heros. I personally prefer to use either Easy Shots or Blaster Inspection as her third star card, because her blaster is already a beast at shredding through anything that isn't a lightsabre hero. If you're with a tight team, Blaster Inspection, but if you're more solo, I prefer Easy Shots.

BB-9E main here, I’ve actually used to heavy exhaust card on split screen to see how well it works, and it becomes surprising hard for enemies to see you. Especially with stuns, if you are great at dodging enemy attacks, you can turn a hallway into a death trap since the smoke will build up so quickly. I do like “Faster, Faster!” on trooper modes, but it doesn’t do as much damage as the cable spin for BB-8, so I prefer to use charge up cooldown decrease so people build a blockade around me. BB-9E is honestly such a great support character in trooper modes, and I approve of your recommendations!
Wish the game had a loadout system for convenience. Granted, the amount of cards isn't huge, but it would be nice to set up everything before and just automatically have the game switch loadouts as assigned to game modes.
I think that an updated star cards guide for troops reinforcements etc. would be really cool. There are a LOT of new people playing this game rn. And the star cards can be really confusing. I would have probably not played the game today if it wasn't for your old guides. Love your work.
Gotta say as someone who mainly just uses lightsabers in battlefront 2, I agree with like 95% of your video! Only things I would suggest still would be other options for both Luke and Rey in HvV. For Luke, I love JEDI FIGHTER which boosts his swings from 10 to 16, and also his blocks from 10 to 16. This helps so much when parrying in a lightsaber fight with another villian. And then for Rey, I love her first card BALANCE. With this card since she gets the extra dodge ability, it’s so nice for those annoying blockers who just block all day since you have an extra dodge and can get behind enemies and do damage to their back, kinda like Dooku but for the light side. Vader's 2 choke star cards combined is very funny as well. Vader just has good options overall, like the blaster deflect card on Scariff is basically Rogue 1
In my experience Kylo's Closing In star card actually does extend the range of targets you can hit with frenzy on your first hit. Have you done any testing?
@@Odysseusx86 they're not really stupid, EA make more money from FIFA and Madden so it just makes sense for them to spend their money and resources developing those games. Also, Battlefront 1 and 2's releases were back by the release of new Star Wars movies, but Star Wars has become a little bit less popular recently due to audience fatigue and the drop in quality of the movies. It's a shame, but if future Star Wars movies turn out to be very popular then EA will likely capitalize on their success by churning out a new battlefront game.

Maybe Kylo Ren's resilence card was based on the movie. He followed his grandfather path, Darth Vader who is a Sith Lord, a lightsaber villain. That's probably why this card only work when you're near Vader, Maul,... who are lightsaber villains, greatest Sith Lords and doesn't work when you're near Boba, Phasma, BB-9E,...whom he has no interest in.
You should add a disclaimer that you are playing on console because on console you don’t need to fear reg troopers nearly as much as on pc. On pc you can easily deal 200 dmg to a hero before he kills you.

I know this is an old video so I'm pretty late to the party but I'm almost positive Bossk's "Trap Arming Speed" card arms the mines quicker instead of detonating faster, as in when he initially lays them down they arm and are ready to trigger faster. It's still a good card or HvV since it cuts down on the time you spend waiting before your mines are actually ready to go

With the right set up, dooku can do almost 400 damage (392) with a single swing. Not kidding Masterful duelist, initiative, dominance. Hit them from behind w duelist on and expose weakness, boom. Another swing is 322. THATS 714 DAMAGE IN 2 swings! Kids never know what hit them. It’s pretty hard to set up, so u need some sneak factor to get it set up but it’s super fun to annihilate heroes in 2 swings

As someone who mains darth vader heavily, I wanna say that I always have ran the first 3 cards forever, but recently I think I like the “surrounded by fear” card a ton better than extended lightsaber throw. (At least on some maps) but in general I’ve had a tough time with maintaining darth vaders stamina, and I felt that this stamina card just lets me destroy troop after troop without stopping, and in turn lets me play better defense when I need to as well. And I feel like the light saber throw just isn’t worth it in dire situations as is the stamina card

Vader on kessel is so satisfying fr, you really feel the power of his dark side 😂 jus go into a tight hallway, pop his main ability, and start choking and slashing them down, my favorite time wit vader 😂

I've been running these setups and I've got to say most of them work really well I do feel sorry for bb9e for not having much for hero modes and boba for his rocket barrage cards changes
Everyone, when choosing cards for Luke, “Jedi Fighter” (the card that gives him more stamina) is absolutely essential. People don’t seem to know that Luke’s stamina is actually worse than someone like anakin, so in my opinion this card is a must.
For HVV/HS, it’s a must. I run intensify, epicenter, and Jedi fighter.
For GA/Supremacy I trade it for extended push range.
Nah Jedi fighter is not better than rush immunity intensity or epicentre
Jedi fighter is a card for new players who aren’t used to maintaining their stamina. More experienced players can hold themselves from spamming their saber so they (including me) swap it out with extended push reach, rush immunity and/or Jedi reflexes

just wanna quickly point out with maul that if you run flow motion you can also choose fool me once which makes cooldowns 10% faster, so youre not gaining any cooldown time and you get faster cooldowns for both other abilities
Battlefront II has so many bugs but is so fun and addictive, I'd describe it as a car crash you can't look away from
For specifically count dooku I use domiance, finesse and masterful duelist reason being If people are spamming attacks or holding block hit expose weakness and duelist dominance giving you 20% more damage while expose weakness is active and masterful duelist giving you extra 20 damage while duelist is active with this combo along with 35% less stam drain you can literally MELT people so if you dont know what cards to use for dooku I would highly recommend this setup for hero modes remember Dominance, masterful duelist, and finesse
Finesse is not useful with those cards because those cards make you kill the enemy alot faster so why do you need the extra stam for?
For Boba, I think one of his best cards is his “for the hunt” card. This increases the amount of time enemies are revealed to you. This may seem like a very minor change, however it is very helpful. Especially on maps with high amounts of foliage such as Kashyyk, Endor, and Takodana. It also helps you keep track of enemys in close quarter situations. It’s also worth mentioning for the hunt has a very short recharge time. With this card enabled, it reveals enemy’s for almost its entire duration. So looking at it from that perspective, you will know your enemy’s location about 80% of the time.
That card is very good for most situations in galactic assault. I found his choices for boba cards to be a little off imo, I like to run focalize,augmented gear, and the extended exposure card.
I remember making so many hero and reinforcement concepts in my free time for this game. I, like many others, witnessed the game’s redemption firsthand. The cancellation still tastes sour and I remember being genuinely sad when I heard the news. Now it’s sad to see how quickly this game has faded into obscurity for me. It used to be THE online game I played with friends. The excellent Deep Rock Galactic now holds that honour. I mostly play single player now anyways. I have so many memories from this game. Good and bad.
😔I got this the day it came out and still played when it was pay to win. The redemption was amazing but the cancellation was not. I still play to this day.

Great vid, but there are a few cards that just don’t make sense to use in Hero modes, especially Showdown. Steamrolller for Anakin is practically useless in Showdown because to even get the smallest maximum decrease in stamina reduction (25% for the base starcard), you’d have to do 2,500 damage, which likely isn’t going to happen the majority of the time.
For Yoda, Jedi Mentor is a much better alternative to Feel the Force. Having an 8% damage reduction is going to be much more beneficial than having an extra 60 health bonus from presence since most hero attacks do a lot of base damage.
For Rey, I feel like Focused Sight is a much better card than Opportunist since insight already halves stamina costs and deals bonus damage, not to mention that it’s going to be more difficult to hit an enemy when they’re mind tricked because they just jump spam or dash.
For Dooku, I think Dominance is a much better choice than Balanced Duelist. A 4 second cooldown reduction isn’t a huge deal compared to an increase of 20% damage while Expose Weakness is active. If you pair Masterful Duelist and Balanced Duelist like you said, then only 1 ability will have increased damage when it would make more sense to have both abilities do more damage, that way you can cycle between them while the other is on cooldown

For Anakin I use attraction, raw strength and steamroll on large scale game modes at first. With this set up I tend to stay alive and his stamina last a bit longer but recently I replaced steamroll with massive strikes and tbh idk it kinda makes it easier in my opinion but those are the cards I run for anakin

As much as Captain Phasma isn't super great, she really is a TANK. 50% damage resistance and a massive healthpool and strong melee attacks let her go toe to toe with even lightsabre heros. I personally prefer to use either Easy Shots or Blaster Inspection as her third star card, because her blaster is already a beast at shredding through anything that isn't a lightsabre hero. If you're with a tight team, Blaster Inspection, but if you're more solo, I prefer Easy Shots.

BB-9E main here, I’ve actually used to heavy exhaust card on split screen to see how well it works, and it becomes surprising hard for enemies to see you. Especially with stuns, if you are great at dodging enemy attacks, you can turn a hallway into a death trap since the smoke will build up so quickly. I do like “Faster, Faster!” on trooper modes, but it doesn’t do as much damage as the cable spin for BB-8, so I prefer to use charge up cooldown decrease so people build a blockade around me. BB-9E is honestly such a great support character in trooper modes, and I approve of your recommendations!
Wish the game had a loadout system for convenience. Granted, the amount of cards isn't huge, but it would be nice to set up everything before and just automatically have the game switch loadouts as assigned to game modes.

I think that an updated star cards guide for troops reinforcements etc. would be really cool. There are a LOT of new people playing this game rn. And the star cards can be really confusing. I would have probably not played the game today if it wasn't for your old guides. Love your work.

Gotta say as someone who mainly just uses lightsabers in battlefront 2, I agree with like 95% of your video! Only things I would suggest still would be other options for both Luke and Rey in HvV.
For Luke, I love JEDI FIGHTER which boosts his swings from 10 to 16, and also his blocks from 10 to 16. This helps so much when parrying in a lightsaber fight with another villian.
And then for Rey, I love her first card BALANCE. With this card since she gets the extra dodge ability, it’s so nice for those annoying blockers who just block all day since you have an extra dodge and can get behind enemies and do damage to their back, kinda like Dooku but for the light side.
Other than that, I pretty much agree with all your setups. Very nice and helpful video BattlefrontKnight 👍👍

In my experience Kylo's Closing In star card actually does extend the range of targets you can hit with frenzy on your first hit. Have you done any testing?

@@Odysseusx86 they're not really stupid, EA make more money from FIFA and Madden so it just makes sense for them to spend their money and resources developing those games. Also, Battlefront 1 and 2's releases were back by the release of new Star Wars movies, but Star Wars has become a little bit less popular recently due to audience fatigue and the drop in quality of the movies. It's a shame, but if future Star Wars movies turn out to be very popular then EA will likely capitalize on their success by churning out a new battlefront game.

Maybe Kylo Ren's resilence card was based on the movie. He followed his grandfather path, Darth Vader who is a Sith Lord, a lightsaber villain. That's probably why this card only work when you're near Vader, Maul,... who are lightsaber villains, greatest Sith Lords and doesn't work when you're near Boba, Phasma, BB-9E,...whom he has no interest in.

The August hotfix removed Grievous’ ability to hit the same enemy twice on the same Claw Rush
You should add a disclaimer that you are playing on console because on console you don’t need to fear reg troopers nearly as much as on pc. On pc you can easily deal 200 dmg to a hero before he kills you.

I know this is an old video so I'm pretty late to the party but I'm almost positive Bossk's "Trap Arming Speed" card arms the mines quicker instead of detonating faster, as in when he initially lays them down they arm and are ready to trigger faster.
It's still a good card or HvV since it cuts down on the time you spend waiting before your mines are actually ready to go

With the right set up, dooku can do almost 400 damage (392) with a single swing. Not kidding
Masterful duelist, initiative, dominance. Hit them from behind w duelist on and expose weakness, boom. Another swing is 322. THATS 714 DAMAGE IN 2 swings! Kids never know what hit them.
It’s pretty hard to set up, so u need some sneak factor to get it set up but it’s super fun to annihilate heroes in 2 swings
