Glad to hear it man and thanks for the kind words. As for the movement, I would say move according to your playstyle which will also depend on what hero you are. Although, I have another guide, but with hook swings that are also combined with movement as well as some individual hero guides that you can check out. It's all in my tutorial playlist. I hope that helps you out and answers your question. Happy New Year!
im a noob and i know it, i always get killed, been playing for a month, and people hate me, lol, but i love everyone, just need to keep practicing in hero showdown, cause is not the same playing against npc as real people
It's the same process as the other heroes. He's just harder to get the hang of because of his slower swing speed. Just keep on trying and testing it out and you'll be able to see him jump really fast and him go back to the ground ready to parry again way quicker than normal. Hope this helps. You just want to hold the block button down and then attack right after they attack/the end of the animation, you attack.
Ik this video is a bit old but I was wondering if you could help me out with knowing when to parry because sometimes I get caught off guard because the other person is blocking for so long and then attacks out of nowhere just wondering if you have any advice for how to deal with that?
Yeah. I would stick with only parrying when they attack. Sometimes those defensive players that are "good" because they know how to parry can be hard to take out sometimes, but what I found to be the best strategy is to try and get behind them to strike them using your dodges or even using your abilities depending on who you are. You can even do hook swings which is basically the same concept as getting behind them, you just jump into them and turn around while in the air but sometimes those defensive players know how to counter that and that will be another video that should be coming out within the next month or two. Just be careful because when you jump your are vulnerable to ragdoll effects, so if you're up against a defensive Vader that knows how to parry be very aware and use that characters strengths to your advantage and use it. For example, Kenobi has a good health regen. Use that to your advantage. You can make it where you don't lose too much health and it will force them to play aggressive to break that health regen. Although, if they are actually a decent player and they're just playing defensive, then do the same thing back where they will have to play aggressive to win and then you can continue to do that strategy as they were just doing to you. There's many different strategies, but hopefully this gives you a direction. I'll have more tips in the future and I will also have a heroes vs villain's 101 stream again where I let you guys see inside my mind and what I'm thinking gameplay wise. Hope this helps.
Gray, I think this was really helpful for new, or returning players. But, I think it is more important to learn play styles, as then the player can get a feel for the hero, and then learn to time their parry's. This is my own opinion, and if anybody thinks differently that is completely fine. Have a great reset of your day everybody, and stay safe.
I feel you. This video was definitely for the beginners and for people that don't know how to duel. This was a highly requested video, and just wanted to give the ultimate guide to get people started because people need to find there own characters and play styles which is exactly why I didn't give any star card recommendations. When it comes to play styles I will include all of that in depth for each hero in my future hero guides, so if that's what your your more interested in that will come out in the future.
@@TheGrayJedi ah, maybe mention that, because now you might have pc players going full spinbot listening to your advice. I like the lightsaber combat in this game. However I hate how people play lighsaber heroes in capital supremacy. They seem to just hold down the block button, run away and dodge until they get reinforced by the infantry... it is painful how much time you can generate by just fending off an opponent instead of actually fighting him...
@@westonneumann3402 well it seems a bit cowardish to always run from each and every fight. I would love to duel in this game but you simply cant, because noone wants to fight, they just wanna farm infantry. Is duelling 1v1 is "Committing suicide"? I don't expect enemy heroes to always charge head on into masses of enemies, because that would be suicide, but always running from a duel really just is a weird style of being a "hero"
@@westonneumann3402 also it is not necessarily the player fault but the developers by giving way more defensive stamina than Offensive, promoting just holding down the block button
Yeah, that can be though. Do your best to keep your block up in those scenarios and be dodging and doing little jumps to be hard to hit and lead that lightsaber user you're trying to fight to a location where you have cover because when you attack you're vulnerable and that blaster user can always shoot you.
Your good. I'm glad to help! By new skins I'm guessing you mean just the normal skins and not milestones. Right? If so, you can unlock most of them via credits which you can get offline but you still need to be connected to wifi, and it's a grind because there is a credit cap per day. You just can't unlock all of the skins with credits though because some are online multiplayer milestones like the Maul skin. This was so helpful! Thank you! Just one thing, my friend’s favorite character is Boba Fett and he loves to use his rocket abilities ALL THE TIME. Any tips? P.S. I try using Luke Skywalker against him. Is this also good? What can I do to improve?
Glad to hear it! No problem, my pleasure! As for going against Boba Fett I'd highly recommend characters like Finn for dead eye or if you want to use a saber user like Luke, you should use Anakin. (At least starting out). You can definitely take him out with any character including Luke, but starting out I'd recommend those two or even Han Solo if you can aim. If you decide to stay with Luke try ragdolling him with your force abilities and then following up with some dash or lunge attacks, but sometimes it can be hard especially if you push him away and give him more distance if he's a decent Boba. I say pick Anakin over Luke if you're starting out and knowing you're going against Boba because his pull is so deadly. You can do that pull, heroic might combo and follow up with a hit or two. If you want some specifics hit me up in a livestream and I can show you live, but until then I have some hero guides out on the channel so feel free to check them out. Here's the playlist. th-cam.com/play/PLwF5Qda9En-MOFiBySjmqJBejYotgOsgK.html I finally have all the saber hero guides out, but I'm still working on Palpatine and the blaster users. @@TheGrayJedi Thanks. I play arcade Versus with him, he always wants me to keep the abilities recharge fast because he says it is more just. Any tips?
P.S. He also tries to lure me into an area where I am more vulnerable. Overall, he is perfect and invincible, even if I use Finn, Rey, Han, Leia, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Lando.
@@santiagosolis1877 Well, fast recharge isn't really balanced because some ability recharge times take longer because they are really good like the rocket barrage. It's definitely not impossible. Are you using dead eye with Finn? Also, if fast ability recharge is on then you should just choose Anakin like I said and just pull, heroic might, and then rinse and repeat since the fast recharge is on. Also, be sure to put on the star card with the extra range of the pull. I hope this helps. Also, if he tries to lure you into an area then I would just have some more patience where he comes to you, but either way that Anakin strat will destroy him every time.

Probably the best tutorial out there! It helped me out a lot! Thanks for that. Is it possible, that you do a tutorial specifically for the correct movement in battlefront? And btw happy new year 🎉
Glad to hear it man and thanks for the kind words.
This video is so thorough and detailed. This right here is Gem of a Channel. Thank you for your guides!
Wow, thank you! My pleasure!
I always thought for perrying was when you hear the strike rather than when you see the animation, is still a thing or no?
I guess either works, but that's how I do it. If the audio thing works for you then I guess.
HAve played this game for like 400 hours and didn't know htis lool :D
Thank you so much man you really helped me a ton
I kept getting shit on but now i can fend for myself
My pleasure! Glad to hear it! It will take some practice, but now that you got some knowledge I hope you can do better!
im a noob and i know it, i always get killed, been playing for a month, and people hate me, lol, but i love everyone, just need to keep practicing in hero showdown, cause is not the same playing against npc as real people
You got it man. Just keep on practicing.
@@TheGrayJedi yeah first i get destroyed by palpatines, (they don’t have skill dont hate me) but now i can see how to chase him
@@bigmansir3745 Good. Good. Let your hate flow through you. lol. Keep up the great work! Take those Palpatines out!
Super useful as a returning player.
Glad to hear it!
Does anyone find playing claw helpful? I think it works well for hooks and keeping your camera on your opponent while being able to dodge.
I believe it just depends on preference because I don't play claw and I can perform all the moves very well.
Thank you best guide
No problem! Glad to hear it helped!
Hi how do you parry with Yoda I have not found a clear answer anywhere
It's the same process as the other heroes. He's just harder to get the hang of because of his slower swing speed. Just keep on trying and testing it out and you'll be able to see him jump really fast and him go back to the ground ready to parry again way quicker than normal. Hope this helps. You just want to hold the block button down and then attack right after they attack/the end of the animation, you attack.
Thanks this helped me I wanted to get better at parrying
Awesome! Glad it helped and you'll get better. Just keep practicing it and you'll get the hang of it!
@@TheGrayJedi thank you that helps a lot!

This was a pretty helpful video thank you gray
No problem! I'm glad it was helpful.
This was so super helpful! You’re the Man! 🙏
Glad to hear it helped man! Appreciate it!
Count dooku is my favorite hero by far because he is great in all HAV game modes.
Yeah, he is a great hero!
Bro he legit seriously helped me out thanks!!!

What is 100 sensitivity? that means nothing without also knowing dpi.
I play on PlayStation, so the 100 sensitivity works for me.
@@TheGrayJedi ah, maybe mention that, because now you might have pc players going full spinbot listening to your advice. For example I play at 10% but I have 1200 dpi, which for me is still fairly fast. But thats also because I like a lower sensitivity. Its also not as limiting on pc to have lower sensitivity since you can just move your hand faster.
@@Julian-pw5mv Oh, okay. Good to know!
Nice vid, could you do one on lightsaber 2v1s?
Thanks! As for using 2v1's just use the same strategies as in this video and just try and single them out. Try rag dolling an opponent then taking on one just like I did in some of the gameplay.
Be Vader
This was extremely helpful I feel like I got down everyones abilities and dodging and keeping stamina up but I was confused on how to parry properly and would get really frustrated feeling like i blocked at the right times, until now thanks alot sir!
No problem! Glad it was able to help!
You make this look so easy, but there’s rarely people who will sit there and let you destroy them in a six year old game lol. Thanks for the advice though!!
No problem and yeah, it can be tough especially now, but I believe in you. If you're not enjoying your experience through practicing, try harnessing some skills in arcade and then moving to online. I believe in you, you got this, everyone has to start somewhere.
These tips would be useful if my other three team mates didn’t focus solely on one dude leaving me to be repeatedly destroyed by the other three fellas
True, lol. Hopefully you can get some better teams in the future, one's that will stick together.
Im good on crontroller but ive moved to pc for mods and fov and crontroller isnt compatible with pc battlefront 2 so i need to learn how to parry and attack properly
What controller do you have? I use controller on PC. You should download ds4 windows. That's what I use to get my controller compatible.
@@TheGrayJedi xbox one eleite series 2 I have a ps4 crontroller but I need to learn how to connect it
@@Porridge_bland I'm not familiar with the xbox one controller so I'm not sure, but I would think it has support. The PS4 controller should work though. If not Bluetooth, try a cord (wired), and if not a cord then ds4 windows (wired). Hope this helps.

I have a tip when fighting sheev use kenobi because of his defesnse he can block the ligthing and kill sidous from behind if your fancy but I just created this for like pros who use sheev so hope this helps a lot for new players like me I knew I would be able to find some help I usally try to be defensive but when it’s luke anakin or Rey then you can’t really block because of there quick saber movements and they have ability’s like repulse on like that’s hard to avoid when knocked down so I recommend using grievous for like rey or anakin because of grievouses ability to spin his sabers he is invincible from the front so he’s good for facing like luke or Rey even he is counted by obi-wan because the stamina of defensive

Quick question, how are you getting into games where its a 1v1?
You have to go on other servers. I do them from time to time on stream.
I just bought this game for pc. First it messed up my HDR and now when HDR is on, its like a grey screennis over my.pc. not games, but everything else.
If i turnnit off it looks normal. I lookednit up. This has been a 3 year problem.
Then yesterday my controller started just facing the sky or the ground.
No aiming. I uninstalled and reinstalled. Unplugged everything else. Still won't work..
What should I do? IM UPSET about not being able to play the game, but im pissee about the hdr grey acreen.
I feel like they messed up my pc with a problem the games had for 3 years.
Any advice? For any of it?
I have changed screens to see if that helped anything. It doesn't.
Who should I email? What should I do?
Who can i sue? Lol.
Thanks in advance for anyone who can really help me. Thanks, fam!
Thanks for the video
My pleasure!
I like the lightsaber combat in this game. However I hate how people play lighsaber heroes in capital supremacy. They seem to just hold down the block button, run away and dodge until they get reinforced by the infantry... it is painful how much time you can generate by just fending off an opponent instead of actually fighting him...
Yeah how dare they play it safe and utilize their team instead of running straight in and committing suicide
Really helpful. Thank you :)
No problem. Glad I could help!
Thank you soo much i lose in every duel but now i win because of you thanks so much
Awesome! Thanks, I'm glad this helped!
My struggle is fighting jedi or sith while being shot at by ranged, tips?
Yeah, that can be though. Do your best to keep your block up in those scenarios and be dodging and doing little jumps to be hard to hit and lead that lightsaber user you're trying to fight to a location where you have cover because when you attack you're vulnerable and that blaster user can always shoot you.
thinks for the information, its really useful :D
No problem! Glad it helped!
Gray I have another question😂(sorry). But on batttlefront 2, can u unlock new skins offline or do you have to be online
The celebration edition does not include the skins that came in the scarif update meaning the milestone ones. I hope this helps. If I didn't answer you question right because I understood it wrong... just try rephrasing it a little different so I have a better idea what your talking about.
WAIT WHAT IVE BEEN PLAYING A LIK WHILE AND NEVER KNEW THE LUNGE ATTACKS WHEN U DASH NANIIIIII
Learn saber exploits and when you lose to a team that plays the game by design, hate mail them that they suck and youre soooo good. Brag about how many points you have, like thats the objective. Love this community.
No, absolutely not. This video doesn't use exploits, just trying to give some tips to help some people.
Great tips, keep up the solid work man 😎

I just started playing BF2 today and I don't know how to do a lunge/dash attack. I play on PS4, can anyone tell me how?
@Ayden Hilker I would love to help! To do a dash attack you have to just dash with whatever ability and then press the attack button. As for dodge attacks or hook swings you can always dodge a certain direction followed my an attack. As for a lunge attack you have to be running towards your opponent and then attack. You will see your character do a lunge animation. Just remember that everyone's lunge distance is different. Hope this is able to give you a direction and help you. Yes, lol. It took me so long just to get what I did have. I eventually just said screw it... it's good enough. LOL!
Love the guide I just wish heros or the lightsaber combat wasn't so buggy for instance I'll dodge literally anticipating the force yet I still get hit somehow I usually rely on parry and flanks to win fights sad to say
Thanks! Glad you loved the guide. I completely agree and feel you. The bugs and hit detection really ruin the dueling experience sometimes. I definitely don't blame you. I'm just hoping that if they make a battlefront 3 they really crank out all the bugs, the terrain, and fix the bad server lag.
@@TheGrayJedi lol its good to hear i wasn't completely alone in that mind set i honestly feel like if you parry it should stagger you not long but just enough to get a single confirm hit plus tbh I rather force power not rag doll other heros imo cause it make the hero look like poodoo if you watch clone wars 2003 anakin literally brushes off a force push cause jedi and sith have a thing called force barrier hence why their a force to be reckon with plus next swb3 hero need a higher hp pool imo they die too fast imo oh plus I'll subscribe thanks for hearing me out
@@isaiahfaux5674 My pleasure and thanks. I definitely think that's a must have for heroes in battlefront 3. A higher health pool is such a smart call.
Best video explaining how to duel ;)

They'll all be out by the end of this year though. Hope this helps and gives you a decent direction.
@@TheGrayJedi Thanks. I play arcade Versus with him, he always wants me to keep the abilities recharge fast because he says it is more just. Furthermore, I try using Finn, but his Concussion Rocket, For The Hunt, and Rocket Barrage abilities make him extremely difficult to aim and defeat. He always ends up defeating me. He is impossible. Any tips?
@@TheGrayJedi If “Dead Eye” is the ability in which I see a red target on an enemy and shoot them without 100% aiming at them, then yes, I am using it. Maybe I just have to be smarter on how I fight him. And thank you so much for your advice especially with Anakin. It really helps. Thank you and have a good day! 😎👋🏽
What's your id on psn? Do you play with subscribers and on which servers?
biwg2019. Yes, I do. I play on American servers most of the time, but I play with subs no matter what servers they are on.
Wait short jump and long jump? Didn't know there were two different kinds
It's all the same jump button. It just changes the jump by how you press it. You can just barley press it to do a shorter jump attack and then hold the button longer to do a bigger jump attack. Hope this makes more sense.
Who won the Grievous Luke fight?
To be honest... I really don't remember. Sorry.
