In today’s Star Wars Battlefront video, I will be breaking down the FULL Star Wars Battlefront (Battlefront 2 - 2017 and Battlefront 2015) iceberg! This iceberg was originally created by u/EpicDude1131 - I did modify it a bit to remove some repetitive or very obvious entries and add the images of C-3PO, but he did a great job and this video wouldn’t be possible without his Battlefront iceberg!

My favorite skin is Chewbacca’s “wounded” skin. It took me and my brother about a minute to see the little bandage. That’s all that changes, just a little thing on the arm
And we waited 3 months for that, that turned me off from the game

That’s your favorite? Just shows how lazy EA/Dice are. Look at Rey’s Skin, most are the same outfit with either hood up or hood down. Had they pulled from the comics they would’ve had a wealth of unique skins like the wounded Vader: chest box sparking, slashes and chips throughout his armor, and helmet cracked with his evil red eye exposed.

I just want more battlefront. I don’t get why they abbandon a great game because ”it’s finished” which it is definetely not. I mean there are soooo many things they can add that will make fans crazy. One word is enough, Ahsoka. I love bf2 but I want uppdates like an active game
This game is a giant fail dude.. blame them for being moneyhungry. Alot of players passed on the game because of lootboxes and never came back.
Because they're not fans of StarWars, it's a business to them. It's not personal, it's just business, they dont care.
@@stellavanhout5134 Bruh, That's so outdated & not accurate to the games state post lootboxes even surpassing the launch playercount, in 2019-2020. Along with Celebration edition, the game became a big success in the end from player counts to sales & its revitalised reputation.
EA stopped battlefront 2 so they could use the devs for battlefield 2042.
To be fair, most the people who worked on it love starwars, but corporate only likes money, and sadly for BF2, Battlefield 2042 took priority
Honestly, the fact that BF2 started to be so good towards the end of its life hurts so much. The top 3 things that should have been added (from this list) for me are:
1. Finish Ahsoka and Padme
2. Gungan announcer would have been amazing
3. The dances. “I’m Han Solo” is the best song of the past generation.

that first "fact " (the R2D2 & C3PO intro) brought back a lot of buried memories haha.
I remember staying idle in the menu waiting for the scene to start, and staying there, watching as it repeated again and again and again.
I don't know why, but I used to think that the quality of the sound in that scene was so much better than the one from the movie, for some reason it sounded very fucking good.
Anyways, yeah I loved that little thing.
I recently got Battlefront 2015 with Game Pass and the first time I saw that scene I burst out laughing

The strangest part with the comment about making Darth Vader pink was how, in 2009, Gentle Giant got a stamp of approval from Lucasfilm to produce a pink Vader bust for San Diego Comic Con. If only the developer knew that pink Vader merchandise already existed. Heck, they could have followed the steps of Gentle Giant and donated proceeds from a pink skin DLC to breast cancer research
EA would never let them donate money. Money goes into the scumbag EA account always.
Well the problem also lies with Disney. Disney gave exclusivity to EA with the condition they only release what Disney wants released. So EA can only put skins out that are “canon.” This means no clue references to memes or comicon or the old comics or books etc. which sucks cause in the old order 66 comic there was a wounded Vader costume they could’ve pulled from.
In the early days of the Empire, Vader battled a bunch of Jedi that try to ambush him and gets beat to hell. His chest box smokes and sparks, he has lightsaber burns and slashed all over, and his helmet gets cracked causing him to have one of his eyes exposed. He looked so evil with this one angry red eye poking out surrounded by scarred skin. Now they would’ve been a cool skin to compliment the wounded Grievous skin.
@@lawrencetalbot8346 That's not at all true or we wouldn't have emotes either as a Clone yelling "Kaboom!" Or playing rock,paper,scissors or Old Master skin which also isn't 'canon' technically. It was completely up to EA what they would like to divert resources to and Dennis himself even said that out of everything he asked permission for Disney only said no to 3 of them and we all know one of them was the much wanted Slave Leia outfit. A pink Darth Vader absolutely could've been used as a form of marketing towards the female gamers, kinda like what Halo Infinite is doing right now by teaming up with makeup companies to sell Halo skins through those purchases. Pink Vader would've probably been a favorite amongst the playerbase too after the Sledgehammer guy decided nobody wanted it. I know I would've used it just to spite him

Another fun fact about the flying grievous is, when he was first announced, people were joking that he could probably fly due to how buggy the game was. Low and behold it turned out to be true

Death Star 2015 with the long game mode was the best thing they ever did, getting bossk on the second stage was even more special, it’s sad that that is not possible anymore because of the lack of player base whom mostly don’t have the DLC, best 30 minutes of gaming one could ever have.
I'm surprised you didn't talk more about launch chewbacca's appearance. He was literally a random wookie model, it didn't look like chewbacca at all. When they did update him, I was amazed at just how different he looked before. It's like they had to launch the game before his model was ready.

"We didn't have the time" is EA speak for "we really didn't care about this game whatsoever."
In retrospect, it was EA moving DICE's internal teams around to shift development toward Battlefield 2042. EA stopped the development of Battlefront 2 just as it was really starting to shine, so they could focus on DICE's greatest catastrophe since the launch of Battlefield 4.
Honorable mentions: Don Boushh, Star Cars, and who could forget Drew the Clone Commando
Also, I think "Alternate realties" might be referring to the developers stating they didn't want to do anything that would break the Star Wars canon, when meanwhile it's possible to play Palaptine on Jakku.

If i remember correctly the offline GA thing wasn't just people asking for it the entire lifetime of Bf2 but dataminers actually finding an unfinished version of it on some maps using the Instant Action AI. Which is kind of sad since GA is the best mode in BF2 and i wanted it to be released in IA for a long time (should have been offline at launch alongside Starfighter Assault imo).

And in Instant Action you could test your difficulty level on diffrent maps in modes like Supremacy, Missions Attack and Missions Defend

I played this game from launch and I gotta say I’m very proud of the community for pushing through and making the devs rework the whole game.
You know what I would like as a video? Like a video recompiling all the old habits that were done by old players in old battlefront 2. What’s did you used to do, how the game changed update by update, etc. As a new player, it’d be really interesting xD

Fun fact: The Spider on Endor is a reference to an unused piece of Ralph McQurray concept art for the OG trilogy in which Luke fights a giant spider (although I think that was originally supposed to be on Dagobah). That same spider was eventually used on an episode of The Mandalorian.

It sucks that there prolly will never be another experience like this. I remember getting excited for the idea of a new hero or villain, omg they’re adding clone wars heroes wow!!! Times have changed and looking back I wish we gave them a little more love to show them not to give up so soon
I actually like the flashbang a lot for leia as i played her a lot. It was super useful against saber heros as you could flank and insta kill them by shooting them in the back. I find the grenades to not do much of anything so i see it as a big nerf

After I played the entire bf2 campaign in 2 days I played the game for like a week then I left for like a year because of the lack of content with the occasional check in
Just watching this video, bring so many good memories back lol. I remember when I played these games before I took a break from the SW community (This was after TLJ was released). I never came back to these games again, but it’s good to see footage from these games again. Amazing video!

I genuinely feel so bad for Battlefront Knight. It was only a span of 5 videos ago when he was averaging almost 1 million views per video, to less than 100K. I hope something comes up to bring back a trend for the channel either from Battlefront or something new for the channel to stay consistent

The only thing I will ever always have beef with Dice BF2 is that, it's got the Dice touch. I would love a remaster of the true BF2 so that that feeling, the mechanics, still bring that awesome feeling. A revamped story with more depth, and up-to-date graphics, even some good added heroes.
That would have been the better choice, but it would never be the EA standard of "pRiDe AnD aCoMpLiShMeNt" and money

I love your channel so much bf knight. I have recently been on the edge of redownloading bf2 and you are just bringing me back to it. I quit only really because I could never find a lobby with more than 2 or 3 people and never could play at all. Really been missing it recently and thanks for being a huge part in my adolescence.

I just figured I’d mention the BF’15 launch Han Solo gun(can’t remember it’s name). It was one shotting everything from across the map and was ultra overpowered, especially for the people who preordered the game and got it on launch day

I cant believe its been 3 years since Anakin came out, very shortly after I started getting heavily into the game and community. I remember excitedly waiting for a CT to drop on my first greyhound bus ride to college. Now Im almost about to graduate. I havent really played the game since they ended support and that was already almost two years ago. This was a really nice and nostalgic video.
Whats worse about the lack of love that the OT trilogy got in BF2 is that they were about to add loads more OT updates with Jyn and Krennic as well as the bespin Carbonite chamber. Its a real shame that EA cut Live service as I would have and so would loads of other people love to see how huge this game could have become and how much money as thats all Ea care about it could have earned.
I personally have fear of modding due to fear of messing my game for online play, but that loadout mode especially might make me mod this game one day. Bonus points if it works for starships

There is one detail I remember from BF 2015 Vader that was better than BF2 one. Vaders choke felt way more brutal and dead enemies, instead of weird quick teleport to the ground, fallen slowly and more realisticaly.
They can always come back and secretly work on battlefront 2 without anyone knowing about it there’s been a lot of games like that out there

On the hero cape/cloak, Lando from solo had great physics and then for whatever they updated it and it just clips through his entire arm now compared to before. Idk how they ruined it
I'm way too late for this, but for 11:08, this is also a reference to the unreleased Stormtrooper Rescue skins that were planned for the 2015 Death Star DLC release. They were going to release skins of Han and Luke in their stormtrooper disguises but nothing ever came of them.

The lando glith might refer to the glith when you would choke lando with vader and he would like get stuck to the wall/floor or become crippled

17:48 that one is from episode 7 where kylo and Hux talk to Snoke as a big hologram. The epic throneroom from ep 8 is on Snokes ship and was unknown when BF2 released. 😉

I just bought this game two weeks ago and I really enjoy it.
If only I was the one in charge of BF2 nobody would ever be sad again …. Monthly Blasters, Star Cards, Reinforcements, Heros, Maps, and Skins would still be getting added to the game even to this day… if only the team had someone like me who cares about the game

Even though the criticism for this particular game was definitely deserved, that CM comment about armchair developers is so insanely true. Gamers are spoiled and whiny nowadays, thinking they always know best and think they should get everything for free.
Other than that, watching this video reminds me just how much I loved BF2015... BF2 definitely did almost everything better but I DID love the sheer amount of customization you could do with troopers. They definitely improved this in BF2 over time but I miss being able to customize virtually every aspect of my troopers. I get why they changed it (balancing, mostly) but it's still something I miss. I just wish EA would release BF2015 as a free-to-play title, making it very clear that it won't be receiving any updates, so that we could get the game at least a little bit more populated.
Also, regarding the two unused reinforcements, as cool as the pilot would have been, I've ALWAYS hated air strike-styled mechanics in shooters so I'm glad that particular ability never made it in. Otherwise, it would have been awesome. I've always loved the Rebel pilot outfit ever since I was a kid and played Rebel Assault 2.
And in terms of HVV, I always preferred the old target-based version. It forced teams to play strategically and with actual teamwork. Ever since they changed it, it just became rush-the-toughest-hero-and-ignore-everyone-else. No strategy, no teamwork, just irritating spam kills, especially on maps that have bottomless pits.

nah most of it was undeserved. you keep saying 'lootcrates at launch' but they were taken out before the game released.
the truth is, if so many didn't pile on and trash on this game then we would've gotten LOADS more content at a much faster pace. people tore the game a new one and then expected the dev team (which had been cut down to like 10-15 people max) to be perfect and release loads of content fast. then they complain about EA cutting BF2 off early- as if the game wouldn't still be around thriving today with all the content they wanted to add if people didn't give it all that undeserved criticism at launch.
never forget geonosis was supposed to release 9 months earlier than it did and was delayed because of how small the dev team had become- think about how much we would have if people didn't cry and piss themselves...
with their full dev team we got 3 new heroes, a galactic assault map, a starfighter assault map and more in ONE Update with a whole community event in their season 1... that was more than what we got for the whole of 2018...
