A premium plastic Envy flies with a lot more stability than the Electron one you are throwing. I think the Neutron Envy is the absolute best throwing putter out there.
My cosmic neutron envy is beeef! I love my electron ones equally as much though, they fill complementary roles.

This man speaks truth of the gospel of the envy. I'm a big James Conrad fan and so I got myself an envy right after James joined mvp and now I have 3 envys and use them for pretty much every shot under 300 feet. Everyone needs to try an envy.

I really wish I could give you two thumbs up for these videos! This is such valuable content for most disc golfers with how many options there are for discs, especially because you include smaller brands like Mint and a Xcom that most of us don’t see thrown very often. Let's me fix something at 24:30 for you: If you want some that feels like an Envy but has some overstability, get an Envy in Neutron plastic ;) Great content! I really love hearing your thought process as you go through all these discs.

I love the envy. I am starting to lean more towards the ohm for throwing putters now. It just feels good in the hand like a reactor.

You gotta try some Kastaplast Reko's aswell. My favourite throwing putter by a mile. Handles power well without being OS, different stabilities in different plastics, K1 Soft being the most OS, K1 straightest and K3 gets pretty flippy after a few trees. They are also comming out with the Reko-X soon which will be a more OS version.

I'd like to add my voice to the list of people in the comment section advocating that you try a more premium plastic Envy to complement the super straight Electron one. In some manufacturers, sometimes when the plastic changes the mold shape can change slightly, like my Maidens in VIP have more dome than my Maidens in BT, which are flatter, but the Envys are pretty consistent across all their plastics, so you don't have to worry about it feeling different when you change the plastic type. I would love to see you toss a Neutron or even Cosmic Neutron Envy to get your impression!

Wait what?? You were already throwing what you described,...the Dynamic Discs, Warden. (Classic blend)... I absolutely love that disc! It has glide for days, handles power and once broken in it will finish to the right. Besides my Wardens, I also bag the Axiom Envy, all for throwing.
I'm loving this series so far. That Envy is the truth. Currently bagging 4 in different plastics and they are all wonderful in their own way.
Love the non bias of playing for infinite Eric. I hope the sport moves to all open bags one day haha love the vids keep it up!
Envy is the real deal. Also when you go to fairways, check out the Legacy Phenom. It does what you like about the Hunter for me, where it just wants to fly flat and ride.
Nice to see the DGUK Baron get a try. I putt with a Lander from the DGUK sister company Launch. It's a nice thrower (3,4,-.5,2) and available via Infinite. (I happy with my throwing putters so don't bag it to throw). It's shallower and has a flatter top than the Baron, aparently were aiming for something like a Kastaplast Reko but, some say, ended up with a better flying version of it.
Talking of Kastaplast. It might be worth checking the Bergs out in the different plastics, they fly/finish slightly differently from each other.

I was able to start throwing the alpaca when they dropped them for black friday. I have used them as my putters and throwers and love them. My favorite disc with some cool/funny stamps because who doesn't love alpacas! Also the envy is another one of my favorites!
If you want you can say it. You have an open bag and don't need to worry about hurting feelings. You like the alpaca more because it's still made by innova where the Swedish p2 are discmania, and you harbor some feelings about the discmania innova split. And you didn't even try the streamline stabilizer. Because with your description it matches what you want. It has a straight flight with a good amount of fade, and a ton of glide and its fast for a 3 speed
I throw a mixed bag and only 2 MVP discs have made my bag so far... the Hex and the Envy. Absolutely love those discs and haven't found anything that can do what they do for me.

You need to try some premium plastic envys! Start glider overstable and have long slow beat in process to straight flyer
My tournament bag has 4 Envys, and they fit in a different slot. My new Eclipse 2.0 has a fair bit of overstability, while my seasoned Eclipse 1.0 goes dead straight. Going to the understable side, a fairly used Electron Envy covers buttery smooth turnovers that will drift right or flip up from a decent hyzer. Lastly, a super beat up Electron Envy will hyzerflip and then turn into the ground when thrown with a good amount of power.

Pilots after you beat them in a bit get extremely straight but maintain their turn resistance. My electron ones have no fade and just go on a line

Can't believe I missed this series, been watching all of them. I love the envy as well and If your looking for added stability in the same disc the order I've found throwing all of the different plastics from least stable to most stable / OS is Electron > Plasma > Neutron > Proton > Eclipse > Soft Neutron. MVP just announced that Soft Neutron is making a comeback with their increased production capacity too!

Genuine THANK YOU for having the Polecat in there. It's the first disc I ever purchased years ago, but I still buy a new one every year and will instantly buy any Star or Champ or HALO Polecats if they come out.
With how you described your ideal throwing putter and seeing you try out some smaller manufacturers, I am surprised you didn't snag a Launch Lander to test out. Looks like it is perfectly suited to your ideal throwing putter stats if it flies anywhere close to it's flight numbers.

No joke about the envy. I added a cosmic neutron envy to my bag about a year ago, started using it for upshots. Instantly shaved strokes off my rounds, as a beginner.

Can't belive you haven't tried out Kastaplast Reko! Super versatile disc. Great for putting in the K3 plastic, which will also beat in nicely to being a turnover disc. In the K1 plastic they can take years of beating and stay straight to slighly overstable. Also super torque resistant, so works great for forehands too.
My K1 Reko took about a month or two to beat in.
For anyone looking for an envy recommendation, The Eclipse envy is money and will take a beating. it will also beat on your wallet a bit. Disclaimer on envy vs Pilot. Electron envy (what was thrown) is the base plastic envy and is less stable then any premium envy. The pilot was the SE envy that is known to be a bit more stable. The base Plastic pilots are very straight flyers that will take a lot of power. All levels of players can benefit from either disc, they are money. **Disclaimer** I have been a MVP thrower and lover for years.
I think others have said it but the envy in neutron and eclipse is also money. Just a more stable envy. I bag a the atom the less fade brother to the envy and I have it in electron and proton for the two stabilities.

For straight shots, Aviar3. For overstable shots with some fade, Sensei or PA1.

I just put an Envy in my bag to see how I liked it a few weeks ago and it took me 2 holes to realize it was staying in my bag. That disc is good.

I throw a clear pilot myself off the tee along with a big z luna and challenger ss depending on stability needed....love throwing mixed bags
As far as throwing putters go. I like the envy for backhand, in glow plastic, it's slightly more stable then the soft envy's. I also use the "Zone" for long forehand putt approach/ drives in (z plastic). Also, I don't think you tried the "Voodoo" putter from Gateway. That's a real gem disc, its like a wizard but better in my opinion. That's my anhyzer long approach putter. Its a smaller faster wizard but beadless! The VooDoo is a very underrated disc, try one out. I like it in the soft glow/ soft eraser plastic. Its slightly stable out the box, but mine is beat in and holds a great anhyzer line. The grippy type plastic sticks chains and stops on the ground quickly.
I’d say a big Z Luna and a 400 Pa4. Luna has some nice torque resistance and the pa4 is similar to a polecat but more readily available in premium plastic
Eric....ya need to test an Envy in neutron or cosmic neutron plastic. More stable than the electron plastic.

Eric! Try the C blend myth! It's exactly what you're describing overstable and massive glide
The envy is noticeably more stable in premium plastics. Neutron and glow are both similar to the pilot you threw but a little faster. That run of pilot is noticeably more overstable than previous runs. Typically they are very straight with little fade. Those special edition ones just came out more stable, like a slower glidier envy.

I just replaced my novas with jk aviars and I won’t be switching for a long time. Such a predictable disc and don’t go much farther past where they land

If Robbie C is watching the video he would say polecat gang lol. I throw the Envy, Harp, Wizard, Magic, and Warden! This makes me want to try the Bennu, the Bullet, and the Berg! What envy plastic would you recommend? Right now I have cosmic neutron.
The biggest thing with MVP (and streamline) is that their plastics have a big influence on stability. I think the differences you're seeing between the Envy and the Pilot is better attributed to the difference between Neutron (that SE pilot) and the Electron (Envy) plastics. Rather than the molds.
Every manufacturers plastic has a big influence on the stability of the discs, it’s not just MVP.
You make the alpaca sound amazing. I put with P2’s but don’t love the plastic right now. How much like p2’s are they? I’ve heard a lot of discs compare to the p2 but don’t feel the same in my hand. Do the alpacas have the sharper bottom edge or are they rounded like the ev-7 phi or the Luna?
If you're using old innova molded P2s the alpacas are identical, alpacas are more widely available in more plastics tho
P model S is absolute money, please try one!

I highly recommend both Innova dart and the Elevation Koi. Koi is insane
i throw the Koi all the time, but it is definitely not for everyone.
The Koi is more of an approach disc than a throwing putter.

Too bad MVP's neutron plastic is so ass. It is so slick and gives no grip.
Putting my .000002 cents in for the gateway voodoo in diamond plastic.
Definitely should check out Innova colt and stud as throwers. They compliment each other well and in premium plastic hold their durability for a long time.

My 10 year old daughter approaches with an old dx polecat…she has a throw in from 90 feet…flies dead straight stops dead on the ground.

The Pure by Lat64 is underutilised by pros. With your armspeed it would fly beautifully on a hyzer turnover line
If it is glide that you want, the Pure is hands down my choice for that. Absolutely have to give it a try if you didn't at Trilogy. It's a disc I think everyone should try to throw.
