Da’Vine came right out the gate with such powerful words. It’s true, actors (and artists in general) have the power to reach people and heal them in ways both profound and imperceptible.
This episode of SAG-AFTRA is off the chain real and honest. Every woman spoke truth and every single one of them showed up in their brilliance. BRAVA, ladies.
I absolutely LOVE the incredible Danielle Brooks! I am in awe of her talent and her work ethic! She is an all-around beautiful person, and she crushed that role as Sophia!!! YES!!! 🎉💯 ❤
Jodie is such an icon. It blows my mind that she has been doing this for 57yrs since she was 3yrs old and still kicking it. She's always been way ahead of her years, an over achiever and yet so humble and grounded. I know Da'vine Joy Randolph is gonna sweep the season but I hope Jodie wins something
I looooove Emily, Danielle and Jodie so much. Emily is so multifaceted, Jodie is a drama legend, Danielle's voice and the drama acting always amazing, also gorgeous. Penelope and Da'vine are true Arteeeestss, they talking about the energy of acting and being healers. If someone is trying to dim your light you are doing something right, AMEN sis.
This was so beautiful and powerful. I love all these women and actresses and I have been touched by their performances not only as an actor but also just as a person, as a woman and as a story lover. Thank you for doing this. I look forward to your next adventures and hopefully soon we'll be able to share the set or the stage together.
Oh my! It’s was such a pleasure to listen to this conversation!! Each of the actresses opened the door into their personal world of feelings and emotions during the process of making a movie and shared their inner work. It is always inspiring for me for some reason. I just love these glimpses into the “kitchen” of movie making. I am always fascinated by the whole process and I wish I could know more about it from different crew members, what their job on set looks and feels like. These actresses are amazing and each of them is unique. I always feel like I learn something from these conversations, like maybe I become a better person because of it. Thank you for this experience!! ❤
I've watched these SAG interviews with both the men and women, and I must admit that I enjoy the women a lot more. I don't know, they seem to be more interesting and able to get to the emotional aspect of the art in a more descriptive and accessible way, at least for me.
Da'Vine Joy Randolph was incredible in Empire, I knew she was goin places when I saw her there, and she was too humble, she did truly terrific and very difficult scenes in it. And the same goes for Danielle Brooks in OITNB, she carried that show in the last seasons. Also, Jodie directed Danielle in OITNB, very weird that they did not mention that. Finally, Cruz was mesmerizing in Ferrari, kudos to SAG for nominating her outstanding work.
This should happen more often, people, actors, artists, talking about interesting subjects in a very profound and articulated way with correlation to real life experiences and cognitive processing that make you who you are. Jodie leads the trend of authenticity, she probably never thought authenticity would become a thing. But the era of stupidity, fakes and big egos is finally going down the drain! I am gonna support Jodie for the Oscars, as always, but I think we all know who is gonna win.
@@MarCapa-ed5uv Yeah she is many 90's kids childhood crush for that reason, authenticity. :) Artists should always remember who they are and be themselves! She did not win yesterday, I knew it, the winner also deserved it. Next time!
Jodie Foster a legend
She is really a legend, and yet so real.
I love her body language. You could tell she was fully present listening to everyone sharing ❤
I could have listened to Jodie and Emily all day
Ok
Danielle too. Jodie is so cool and so responsive to each persons expression and personality.
Having this entire group to eavesdrop upon is a rich listen...

Agreed!
She talked about healing and I found her thoughts and words here very healing.

One of the best sessions they had done. Jodie is so insightful and Penelope so real with emotions and Danielle and rest. What a great table.

fantastic questions which lead to an amazing discussion of respect and admiration for the craft. beautifully done!
Penelope ❤
Da'VIne looks beautiful in that outfit and with that hairstyle.
Hopefully, Jodie Foster will direct something new in the foreseeable future!
They made me understand actors even more.
And the winner IS....the passion these women share for their job...
I love Danielle Brooks. ❤ She's amazing.
No shade but Jodie Foster is definitely the most interesting person in this group in my opinion. She is an icon for a reason. I love listening to her.
You’re not wrong.
Jodie is in another level here.

That’s the reason why I’ve always loved her, she’s AUTHENTIC, she’s really grounded, and dignified.
