all the SNL ladies having a bob-off
Bobs are taking up the whole side of the table 😂😂😂
this comment really made me laugh😭
@@edie8931 SAME LMAO
Yes lmao 😂
that could be a great sketch
I deleted this at first.
But I don’t care I’ll say it.
I’m a black woman and I find JOY seeing so many black women at this table!!!
It is re-affirming, inspiring, and obvious that we belong at this table.
that´s the f. point?
Yessss❤ I’ve seen so many of these round tables interviews but haven’t watched in a while. This interview got me interested again!
I’m a Hispanic woman and feel the same way you do! @jhuges197
@@abigail5670same
YES. ABSOLUTELY WE BELONG AT THE TABLE.
this is a masterclass on active listening like there wasn’t a single moment of silence just a chorus of “uh huhs”
I took it more as a masterclass in "over-active" listening/people pleasing. It's annoying.
@@hairiseverything”people pleasing”? In a dynamic conversation? Wow more and more slow people breed in the world these days 💀
I have to rewind to hear what they're saying many times.
Active listening is actually paying attention to understand the speaker and their message, not making noise while someone is speaking. Frequent Uh huhs are a disguise to fake active listening by disingenuous people
@@hairiseverything there's always that one person, you're that person.
Kristen Wiig is that one cool white friend from college who made it into your all Black bridal party 💅🏻
Be careful with that. I've seen them turn into Karens real quick.
Yesss I love my girl Kristen 🥰
and Mark! And we rockin' with Mark
@@a.sam.2976 Puhlease Kristen Wiig aint a Karen
@@irock2403 Uh, huh... Let a few things not go right, let a few privileges be denied, let there be some uncomfortable moments. Then sit back.......and watch.....
this conversation oiled my scalp and totally hydrated me.
Whew. Perfect description of how I'm currently feeling.
I just did the roundtable "mmmMmm" to this comment hahah
I tossed out my anti depressants watching this video it healed me
Perfect comment 😂
😂
this might be the best roundtable cast EVER
I was literally crying watching this. Like they had me wiping.
Amen
the way kristen and maya were on snl together and now look at them almost 20 years later❤️
the way kristen looks at maya 🥹
I need an entire show of just women in comedy doing a brunch talking about whatever. Such a comfort watch and so inspiring. SOMEONE PLEASE MAKE A SHOW OF ALL THE COMEDY WOMEN DRINKING AND TALKING ABOUT WHATEVER!!!! The world needs it
The black lady sketch show filled a similar gap for this type of content. But was sadly canceled
I agree - but no host. Let the panelists bring their own questions or let it just flow. That kind of cross-pollination would be *chef's kiss*
Comedians in sunglasses getting brunch.
I agree! Just a table camera of their meals together
YES!!!!!
Man, the part where Quinta started talking about black artists feeling pressured to commodify their trauma hit me. Never thought about the freedom to create something that is entirely separate from your personal experience like that. Such a great video.
Somebody needs to SERIOUSLY SHARE THIS with Ryan Coogler. I mean he’s SO commodified “Black Trauma” that he worked that crap (in buckets) into The Black Panther sequel!!!
SN: ……and Oprah TOO! smh
@@V.L.R.he hasn’t made so many projects and Creed has none of that. That being said, there is room for black trauma and neutral stories.
@@V.L.R. You mean Chadwick dying? That was paying homage. Did you mean BP 1?! That's straight from the comics! 🤣
Woody Allen movies. Living proof of a multitude of experiences. Not just one. 🙄
The fact that Renée Elise Goldsberry is the oldest person at this round table is Wild! She is Stunning!!! 🤩
Maya's gotta be close. My first exposure to Renee was her recurring role as a BGV for Shonda Shepherd every week on Ally McBeal.
@@shawnuel She's 2 years younger.
I’m sorry what!?!? Amazing
The host was so smart to just let them talk!
❤️💯
I really think she has been the best host THR has ever had, her roundtables really flow in such a beautiful way❤️
I'm mad that the algorithm took four days to figure out that I'd want to see this!
For sure!! Lol...
6 days for me!!!
10 for me 😢
2 weeks for me
I forgot the moderator was there until she would speak 🤣
just realized they're all WOC except for Wiig. that's absolutely amazing..
I saw someone on Twitter say Wiig was the diversity hire. 😭
Incredibly refreshing to see.
refreshing? where the asian? latino? native? its great but come on...
They’re all Black women
and Kristen fit in just right. Didn’t say anything tone deaf or offensive
Thats exactly why Lacy rose is the ELITE host and interviewer!! She let them talk for a long time without cutting them off to go to the next question!!
Shes my favorite for sure
I agree. She did a great job hosting!
#FACTS Jimmy Fallon could REALLY take some classes from her!
@@V.L.R. Kelly Clarkson BADLY needs that class.
Galloway
She really is an excellent interviewer. To be someone basically just propping up celebrity culture, she at least asks interesting questions about the creative process.
Dear Quinta, THIS panel is MY super bowl!!!
Saaameee 🥰🥰🥰
Fabulous! I am a 59 year old Black woman, newly widowed. This was just what I needed 🔥
Wherever you are in this world I'm sending you love 💖
💜 to you
Sending you love ❤
I'm so sorry for your loss...Remember what they said of never stop dreaming!! There are so many things to look forward to despite age and circumstances, 59 years old IS young and there is so many amazing stuff waiting to be discovered around the corner...Sending you love
❤❤
ABSOLUTELY one of, if not THE BEST roundtable I've ever seen, and I think I've seen them all!
I am so happy Netflix is campaigning for Michelle Buteau and Renee Elise Goldsberry! Michelle's comedy specials is one of my faves and Renee is truly the standout on Girls5Eva.
Halfway through the second episode I was like “ she’s going to be my new favorite person, I just know it.” and I was correct.
I loved every minute of this. This is like the Avengers of comedy.
👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Lisa from Temecula is one of my favorite sketches. seeing that it was a transformative moment makes it that much more special in my eyes.
Agree! I love that sketch also, lol.
Let's give credit where it's due....the presenter is such a professional and really just knows how to hit the nail in the head with her questions that drives such a unique conversation!!
Am I THE ONLY GUY who watched, learned from, and ENJOYED this entire conversation?
same here, fantastic
Everytime I see Quinta in these spaces I feel like a proud cousin. She has grown into her success so beautifully.💕
Queens Maya and Kristen twinning in pink screams besties for life!
YOU HAD ME AT QUINTA AND MAYA... but in all honesty I love them all... Kristen has made me laugh sooo...sooo many times.. Her range is incredible...
I never watch these to the end but the girlies had me LOCKED in! It's always a pleasure to see Michelle. I love her. I love all of them! Such supportive and fun energy. Felt like I was there.
I've been savoring this video all week.
I love Quinta Brunson's point of view. It doesn't always have to be about your "culture". Don't paint yourself into a corner. Don't ever forget that I'm black, but, forget that I'm black.
I need a ego and Quinta skit working at the Apple Store smiling to customers faces but just roasting people after they go in for their appt cuz they are so friendly but can switch
This sounds HILARIOUS 🤣🤣🤣
Maya saying "that dinosaur could be blue" so lovingly to Quinta really just tickled my heart.
This is one of the best roundtables I’ve ever seen. What a group of powerhouses! Can’t wait to see what they’ll all do next 🫡😬🫠🙃🤷🏼♀️🤣
my fav roundtable ever, all of these women were so passionate and kind and generous with their conversations. love love love
The look in Maya's eyes when she said "the colors are made for dogs," 🥹 so wholesome
I just started watching and I’m already loving this roundtable. What a panel! Lovely to see Renee Elise Goldsberry here. I remember her back on One Life to Live.
Yes!
One of the most enjoyable roundtables for sure. I remember Renee from Ally McBeal.
Every time she mentioned being on a soap opera, in my head I'm yelling "One Life To Live"!! That's where I discovered her, and have enjoyed her work ever since.
@@Skeezer66 Me too, loved her on OLTL. My first exposure to her and was highly impressed.
Evangeline ❤
" 😂 get me Pregeenant" pweez" lol Ego 😂😂😂😂
This roundtable conversation was transformative.
as a musician and comedy actor, hearing Renée talk about how the world views performers by their achievements rather than what we've overcome genuinely made me burst into tears. this is something that ive been battling for so many many years and this is the first time ive felt like I was in a conversation where this was brought to the table. all these woman are absolutely amazing and im grateful to be able to look up to you all
“We have to do a better job of telling who we are”
The power of SNL is real at this roundtable ❤️
Kristen and Maya, hold such a dear place in my heart
Kristen Wiig's final monologue in PALM ROYALE was a MASTER CLASS in acting. The journey she takes and brings us on is AMAZING! I feel blessed that I hd the opportunity to meet her and tell her so. Maya Rudolph in LOOT is seamless and so funny. Michelle Buteau makes me laugh so hard that it brightens my day. Ego Nwodim can do practically anything and I look forward to her post SNL life! Quinta Brunson is a Force of Nature and the incredibly talented Renee Elise Goldsberry will premiere her documentary at Tribeca FF and I will attend! This was wa wonderful Round Table.
It’s incredible to see a roundtable that is 90% black women. It’s a different energy than the comedy rountables before. More of this please ❤
I absolutely love how encouraging and together these women were with each other. It felt like a conversation between real friends... Very encouraging. ❤
The diversity on that table in the obvious way, but also in the lived experiences is so lovely to watch and listen to.
THR: probably one of the most insightful round tables you have ever done. Most of the credit goes to the actresses however ❤
The collective 'mmhmm' at 41:29 was everything lol
It is ~such~ a privilege to get to hear funny women, especially Black funny women, get to connect and share advice with each other. This is so entertaining but also instructive 💜
✨What I love the most about those roundtable talks is that being an artist is part of the talk ( for sure ). However what interests me most are the conversations about being a human and living a life. Which means having doubts, fears, anxieties and also seeking for love and connection and joy (in that case) through art. ✨
Ego has become such a pillar of being reliably and effortlessly funny on SNL and I think REG’s comedic timing is phenomenal.
This is a powerhouse roundtable. All these women are amazingly talented and grounded❤
This is probably my favorite round table ever. Renee’s words were so beautiful and relevant she really is such an incredible person
Kristen and Maya just being themselves at the end- “you should be a writer” lmao love it
Wow! The authenticity, the support, the love and respect this group has for each other! Loved it! My favorite round table ever. I needed 5 more hrs of this 😂
Maya Rudolph needs a show or podcast I just wanna listen to her and her stories all day
Sometimes the algorithm nails it. This was an absolute delight to watch!
Wow this was powerful... and did you hear all that truth coming out at you... Amazing! This episode is an example of why I love these Hollywood Reporter Roundtables. And the host is smart enough to know not to get in the way and just let these women talk. Wow... just WOW!
ALRIGHT YVONNE!!!! THIS WAS SO INCREDIBLY INSPIRATIONAL!!!!! THANK YOU QUINTA, RENEÉ, MICHELLE, KRISTEN, MAYA, and EGO for your contributions to the ARTS! THANK YOU HOLLYWOOD REPORTER.....I plan to be seated at one of your ROUNDTABLES soon. 🙏
That was hands down the BEST roundtable I have watched in a longtime, which is saying a lot because they are often amazing! This was so refreshing for the soul and come thru representation-YES!!!!!!!!
I love these women. Nothing more enthralling than a woman who has an amazing sense of humor!
Doesn't this hilarious respectful vulnerable powerful camaraderie feel like the home you always knew existed??!! A true sharing of souls and the best moderation I've seen on here. Thank you for inspiring
I want all of these women to make a movie together!
was my first thought when I opened the video.
So excited to watch/listen.
This has to be one the best round tables ever! 🤗
One of the best roundtables ever! Bravo!!!
I want this round table with these ladies to be a reoccurring thing. This was amazing!!!
This!!! We need more of this!! The genuine authenticity of each story and experience seated at that table is *chefs kiss*
This is such a fun panel ❤
Enjoyed this roundtable sooooo much
This is the most joyful i have ever been watching a roundtable. I almost cried of happiness 10 times! Thank you for these women!!!
I smiled and laughed and teared up through all 55 minutes! Whoever booked this, thank you!
I don't know why this showed up on my feed but, I most enjoyed this!!! I loved the camaraderie and respect they had for each other's careers!!!
Thank you for this moment of clarity!! This was a table of clarity.. ❤️
So authentic, so genuine, so lovely! One of the best roundtables
MIGHT be my most favorite roundtable, yet. Truly inspiring, teared up quite a few times.
My favorite roundtable ever.

This was a roundtable I never knew I needed! Love this so much!
ugh. im so inspired. what a lovely conversation
Love to see diversity on these roundtables keep it up
I would say diversity would mean more than just black and white, lol. I see no Asian, Hispanic, Native American, Pacific Islander.
This was absolutely glorious! 1,000 thankyous for bringing these magnificent women together and making this happen. Brava!
I am here gardening listening to this show and not wanting it to end....its going to be on replay each time I am gardening, each time i want the compansionship of beautiful, insightful women who are talking off script....because gosh....yeah....and yep....simply a nourishing, nuturing conversation amongst peers that I needed to hear today....thank you each and everyone of you....truly
Haven't watched yet and I'm already loving it... This lineup is on point 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
This is one of my favorite Roundtables!
So awesome, Ladies you are and were so transparent. Thank you for clearing the way!
Absolutely one of the best shows. Thank you ladies for pouring into my cup and giving us a peek into your life and aspirations. It was such an insightful conversation.
I’ve never been more excited about a roundtable wow wow wow wow
The Best Roundtable. Very enjoyable!!!!!
Thoroughly entertaining the entire episode! The topics easily sparking insightful memories of these POWERHOUSES of women in comedy and entertainment is truly unmatched! Thank yall for giving these wonderful ladies a platform to showcase their humanity and personal accomplishments 🙌🏻💕
I just love all of you, individually, so much❣️ …watching you all together was an absolute gift!
The fact that I'm watching this while in the restroom, Hilarious😂😂😂
I'm literally watching this on the toilet. 😂😂😂 Great round table love these ladies HAD TO WATCH ❤
This was amazing. The love and support they had for each other. I could have listened to them for another 4 hours
It ended too fast! I could have kept listening for hours more!! I think this is the best round table I’ve ever seen. Kudos to Lacy! I mean I know she awesome but just wanted to say it again!
