Madame Myers (Seth's mom) was my 6th-grade French teacher. She fought tooth and nail to keep me in that class while my home life was falling apart. She means so much to me. During class, she was a hardass, but it was because she believed in you as a student and a person.
My heart warms every time I see Seth offer a hand to the female guests to help them up on the stage. Then I see Larry does it and I'm like, of course!! 🥰
Seth's Thanksgiving appearance is what starts my holiday season for me! (I'm an American living in Japan, my wife is Chinese so Thanksgiving is a nonstart here. I celebrate it by watching Seth's family every year.
Eyyy I’m an American living in Japan, and my husband is Chinese British - so absolutely not observed. In fact, we just got a ton of Chinese to chow down on.
God I love the Meyers family. I forget about this happening every year and I am delighted and happy to see them every year. I have massive trauma issues with family topics in general, but I love all of them together so much!
About every 3 months I will go back and watch all of them and I'm so blessed that there's like 10 years worth of it. There's nothing like a Meyers family binge watch
Lol, as another Scot I was so confused by the Wuthering Heights reference, I mean it’s a long time since I read it but I was fairly sure Heathcliffe and Catherine at no point travelled north of the border 😂 But to be fair to Seth’s mum, associating drizzle with Scotland is just the obvious choice, really. Especially with a piper present!
I try to hold a truce when family is onscreen, and gave benefit of a doubt, maybe it's a different recipe for their different culture (I'm Canadian East Coaster Mixed French Acadian/Metis Heritage)
Awe, I love Moms look. Her hair is perfection and her outfit is as lovely as her personality. She reminds me of my Mom, what I would give for just one more day❤❤. You all are so fortunate ❤❤❤❤ Thanks for sharing your family❤❤
Oops, I forgot to catch this Meyers Family visit this year. Have come to really appreciate over the years, how collectively funny they are. Years ago I was like, "why is his whole family on the show", to "no wonder he's so hilarious ". Thank you for posting!
Seth, his mom and dad and even Josh are the nicest, normalist Midwestern people ever. Just real and true and honest. (coming from a northeast Ohioan/Clevelander)
The Ivy Park leggings had my dying🤣😂 Also I was cooking while listening to this and I literally couldn’t tell the difference between Seth and Josh’s voice 😂😂
I love this tradition! I love the Meyers family and wish I had such a beautiful family like this, the love and fun pours out of all of them. I was fostered out and bounced around and have no family, it's lush watching this family every Thanksgiving.
My nephew carried a teddy bear down the aisle that said ring bearer and my sister's friend's wedding date on the feet. One of the groomsmen had them in his pocket the whole time. Never trust a 3 year old with jewelry.
When I was like 4 I was a ring bearer in my cousin's wedding. I thought it was "ring bear", when I went to get my tux they asked "tails or no tails" which made sense. I remember telling the story to my grandmother and said, "They asked if I wanted a tail, and then asked if I wanted ears," and she was like, "No, they didn't ask that."
Seth and Josh are so extremely lucky to have both parents still with them to be involved in events like a wedding. Now there on their way to more grandchildren. Hopefully the Cali couple will quickly get on that plan while they can.
I love this tradition. I love Seth and his family. It totally makes up for David Letterman and his yearly thanksgiving ritual with guessing what kind of pies his Mom had made.
I so look forward to them doing this every year. It’s heartening for people with difficult familial entanglements. And it’s nice to share a holiday like this with others, in a live scenario. Just beautiful. ☮️
I don't know how I am ONLY just learning of their family dynamic now but I promise I will never miss another Thanksgiving episode! I feel like they could be my neighbors and I love that
Where I live we don't celebrate Thanksgiving but I am so thankful for this yearly tradition. Seth entire family is funny as heck. I remember when his in-laws were on once and they did the newlywed game. Just love them so much and the kids are getting so big, love the niece being a part of the Turkey costume segment, welcome Agnes. Thank you Seth for brining such joy on my tv screen.
@@cleverusername9369 As @maddiek1980 said, Seth’s mum specifically mentioned there being Scottish moors in Wuthering Heights, which of course there isn’t. But given all the drizzle and the bagpiper you can forgive her for the mistake 😂 Now, to the commenter above who said Scottish and Yorkshire accents sound similar…what?? Are you serious? 😐
My favorite event: the Meyers Family on the Seth Meyers show!! Love it! Love seeing how you all interact with each other! You should have a show together!!! Thank you very much for sharing your family with us!!!!! 😊😊😊😊
Hello from New Zealand. I listen to Family Trips all the time, and I think I can now tell the boys' voices apart. It makes me think about all our crazy family trips in the 1970s baby blue Holden Kingswood station wagon without the seat belts, climbing freely over the seats. I remember my new little brother getting to sit in the middle of the front bench seat and me not being able to occupy that spot anymore, so climbing over to the boot with my older sister and middle brother and pressing our thumbs up against the back window to stop the cars behind us from passing. It actually seemed to work. It's nice to meet your family as I do imagine who your parents are and think what amazing parents they must be to have raised such empathetic and funny boys. You boys look different but you have the same facial expressions which fills in some dots for me, having listened to your stories for a few months now as I travel back and forth. And btw, it's always cute when Boshie says "Yes. My Wife is an Equestrian."
Yorkshire moors, but like with all wedding mishaps,it is the thought that counts. BTW the first time I saw the Yorkshire moors I thought I had found heaven on earth. What a beautiful place!
been waiting 4 da Meyers fam, watching dis da day after Thanksgiving, so special, so needed, still smiling...🥲 Congrats 2 Josh (luv him as Gov Newsom 😊) & his bride 🤗
I was laughing so hard and loud at picturing Jack McBrayer eating the pretzel I had to pause the video because I literally could not hear what Seth was saying after. That is a scene straight out of a 30 Rock episode.
Watching the Meyers family is like finding an unknown species for me. Not having had contact with my family for over 50-yrs, this closeness would normally annoy me - think Hallmark sentimentality. But this family pulls it off beautifully, and I really do enjoy them.
Madame Myers (Seth's mom) was my 6th-grade French teacher. She fought tooth and nail to keep me in that class while my home life was falling apart. She means so much to me. During class, she was a hardass, but it was because she believed in you as a student and a person.

She does look like those teachers that are tough and caring.
This needs to be pinned so she sees it
I think you can email the show
I hear you! My French professor saved my life in a way.
This family is what secure attachment looks like.

My favorite yearly tradition. Never miss a thanksgiving show, I legit feel like I grown to know little things about the Meyers cinematic universe.
Right?? Now we've got nephews and nieces in the mix, a Scottish wife, awesome!
We gotta get a MeyersPedia on fandom wiki.
I’ve been looking forward to the Myers family all week

Yes, usually Seth and Josh fight over it, but Larry took over this year.I noticed😅
Yes, and I noticed that Josh was pausing and watching his mom too, ready to reach out a hand if needed. A good man!
If you buy a dress for a wedding, make sure you can wear it again and again!!! You go mom!
I thought the same thing! Good on ya mom.
Yes!!! I love that she wore the same dress. I was so excited. Good for her!
This looks like a dress you can wear to many different events. I love that she paired it with boots but it could also go with a pump 💜💜

Jack McBrayer as officiant is amazing
What fabulous, beautiful, loving family. They all have the same personalities. You can sure see where Seth gets his enthusiasm for life from.

7:00 Seth cracking eggs to make mashed potatoes! 😂😂😂

Me too but Seth looks more like Gavin I think.
That's so funny because my nephew kept telling everyone he was the "ring barrier." 😆

The moors in Wuthering Heights are in Yorkshire, England
Indeed, but with all that drizzle and a bagpiper you can’t really blame Seth’s mum for adjusting the reference to north of the border 😂
Don't be a Debbie downer🙁
Such a great family. They all seem to get along and enjoy each others company.

Mixing up the Yorkshire moors and Scotland is hilariously American
I can see why people think the accentS sound similar, but I would never do it. 😅
There are definitely moors in Scotland, including a very famous one near Inverness called Culloden... Yorkshire isn't the only place with moors
But we'll give them a pass, as they are so sweet.
