Happy Jane Austen July!! You have so many wonderful selections to read this year. I hope you do get around to reading one of Gill Hornby's books. They're both fantastic! I haven't read Georgette Heyer yet either. Her book, Sylvester, snuck onto my TBR, but in all honesty I probably won't have time to read it this month. People have suggested that it's not a bad place to start with Heyer's novels and also recommended Venetia and Frederica. I love all of your recommendations as well. Octavia Cox's channel is brilliant! I love watching her when I have the time. Anyway, happy reading this month! 💕📚
What a great TBR! I hope you love Gill Hornby, and I definitely need to read Rory Muir in the future. For Georgette Heyer recommendations, Venetia is definitely my favorite.
@@freshparchment Thanks Heather! I’m looking forward to trying Gill Hornby and I’m really enjoying the Rory Muir book so far, definitely recommend. Thanks for the Georgette Heyer rec!
Have you read Hamerston Hall by Jane Eastbourne? It has many similarities to Jane Austen's novels and is about the same length as Sense and Sensibility or Pride and Prejudice
I love Northanger Abbey! I reading Sense & Sensibility for the group read and I can't believe how many times I have lol'ed again. The books never cease to bring enjoyment. I love The Other Bennet sister. Great recommendation! Happy Jane Austen July!
Hello, I've just discovered your channel thanks to Jane Austen July. I'm reading the Rory Muir at the moment and enjoying it so much. I would recommend Venetia, Frederica or The Grand Sophy to start with Georgette Heyer. I would love to know which of her novels you end up reading. Thank you for your recommendations! The Deirdre Le Faye book looks so interesting.
@@sarahel19 I’m really enjoying the Rory Muir book too, Sarah! Thank you for the Georgette Heyer recommendations, they help a lot, and thank you for your lovely comment 😊🩷
I love the idea of an annotated edition to add to the experience of a re-read. Your non-fiction choices sound so interesting and I can’t wait to hear your thoughts. Happy Reading! 😄
