loved this video! my 5 y/o twin girls say "hi" to you! They are not deaf n do talk non stop, but I thought introducing sign language would be so much fun and beneficial to them! They also speak english, spanish, russian & are learning japanese!!
Thanks for watching! Spelling random words that you hear throughout the day really helps. When I was in school, I would practice signing license plates since they have both letters and numbers. It helped a lot. 👍🏼
Thank you so much! I've even the alphabet from apps and it's not always clear in those what part of the letter is important (palm facing, where your thumb is, etc...). This video cleared it up for me.
Yes they are right you are one of the best asl teachers, you even tell us which fingers to use, whether it's the index or middle or both, I had to follow you thank you for making it easy others just do the signs they don't say if to use the dominant or non-dominant hand but you tell us what to use down to the 'T'.
Hello again. It looks like you have found some cool new graphics and sharper 1080 HD as well. I like to practice the ASL alphabet backwards as well to challenge my brain. I use this memory trick: Letter F = We're O.K. Letter D = We're #1 Thanks again for the helpful videos.
I like your memory trick/tip! The letters D and F are commonly confused. Thanks for watching (and yes, I've been working with a green screen). I think it gives the video a cleaner look.
@@ASLLOVE I noticed the nice changes immediately. Have you been practicing your computer skills too? I have been trying to learn Spanish as well, ever since I took three years way back in high school. If you like, you can even use my clever memory trick/tip in a new video, and I won't even charge you a penny (haha).
Thanks for watching! You can add this video to your "favorites" playlist. Underneath the video to the right you will see 3 dots (...) there will be a dropdown menu from there that will give you options.
Hello and thank you for watching. Most of the time there are a few ways to interpret words/sentences/phrases but first you need to determine the meaning. In this situation you are experiencing a feeling. An example of how I would sign this could be: I/ME - MAD - WHY - BECAUSE - (your reason) It's not always the English word (e.g.: make) that we need to sign.
A video for manners is a great idea. For now, I do have a lot of those words and phrases in some of my videos. I’ve been starting to learn ASL and your videos have helped me a lot!! I did have a question about the letters c, d, and o. I’ve seen resources where they’re facing palm forward but then other resources where they’re sideways. Does it matter which orientation? I may be overthinking 😅
@@lisan2228 Hi and thanks for watching! That’s a great question, but I can’t say I have a definite answer. If you’re fingerspelling a word or name, your palm will be facing forward. If you are signing a letter, you may want to turn your palm to the side so that the person you are communicating with has a clear view. Try it both ways with the letters C, D and O while facing a mirror and you will see what I mean.
Hi and thanks for watching. ASL does not follow the word order of English. There are a few ways you could express that you love someone a lot using ASL but you would need some background knowledge first. A good place to start is by learning the sign for LOVE and the options for expressing it. Check out this link to see more. th-cam.com/users/shortsM9x0rzhBQpY
Thanks for another great upload. Someday, I would like to be able to talk to orangutans, silverbacks, or chimps using ASL. Knowing my luck, their ASL skills will be better than mine. 🦧🦍🐒❤
this past year ive been trying to learn asl and you are by far the best teacher. thank you so much for these videos!

Can I use my left hand as my dominate hand?
Sure thing. It should feel natural to you.
@@ASLLOVE Thank you, I’m right handed but my right thumb doesn’t extend all the way out because of surgery.
