Great video brother, but for those that haven't purchased a y8 manifold yet for a y7 intake swap buy a 96 97 98 auto intake manifold it has no iacv to plug and also there are no air injection cold start ports to plug off it makes it alot easier however you will still need to follow the rest of his info

I got a Y8 IM from a 99 civic and it has the cold start ports and nipple on it, I had some trouble with it at first it would surge from 1500 rpm to 3000rpm go up and down so on and then I watched a video on someone who has the same one and that’s when they said to jb weld the cold start ports and then just cap off the nipple on the side of the manifold. Just got it working though!!😁😁

It’s recommended to always buy a new gasket if you can when you uninstall or replace a part. I used a gasket maker silicon thats meant for exhaust manifolds since it was gonna take 3 weeks for my gasket came In. Its messy, but it works. If you do it, make sure you dont cover any inlets for the coolant and stuff that runs thru.

No I mean the intake manifold i will take it from an automatic vti civic .. and my car is manual d15 engine so there any different between automatic and manual intake manifold?
Mine sometimes idles rough and Rpms drop and stalls while in neutral at red light or stop sign, Im missing the pvc hose that runs to the engine block to the Air intake , can that be a reason ?
Put it on and see if it makes a diffrent spray brake cleaner around all your vancum lines injectors and around trottle body and see if you have any vacuum leak

+Oscar Crespo you have to get the correct gasket for the intake manifold and y7 trottle body to back and watch the video I explain witch gasket you need to use...i had the same rpm issues and it was a gasket leak...also you can spray some carb cleaner around the intake mani and throttle body to see where's your vacuum leak
+Oscar Crespo take your car to a tunner and he can erase the check engine light off your ecu...i don't have cel issue since the y7 was the factory engine for my hatch
Idk if anyone can help me but I bought a 96 ex and it has a d16y7 motor non vtec but it has a y8 manifold. The car has rough idle and goes down to 100rpm when warm and tries to cut off. Any ideas?
Goof video, and yeah that gasket sucks ass it took me 2 hours to scrape the one off my prelude it was hard as a rock. What were your gains on the intake swap.

by far the best how to convert a d16y7 manifold to a d16y8, thanx. this alsohelped me with my b16 obd2a to abd2b.

how dafuq do u take off the throttle pulley? Take off the throttle flap first and then it comes out?

JOMI it’s right behind the manifold. I thinks it’s for the Cruise control. Right underwhere you plug the brake booster hole
