Having a good microphone that can Actually pick up words and conversations beyond 12feet is very important. Most of these things have awful microphones that only pick up within 10ft
Great looking device that has more than suitable recording quality. Remember if you are using one of these that the entire country of Canada is a 'one party state". That means you only require permission from one of the participants to legally record a conversation. You are not required to disclose the fact you are recording.
Im sorry but that microphone is not going to pick up someone talking 10feet away. Or making a threat. The sound quality directly ontop of it is barely passing.

There’s an indicator light on the pin. It was flashing when you were pressing it facing the camera.
