@ strongman events have never had any kind of buzzer; you load the last stone and the judge stops the clock, or you cross the line and the judge stops the clock etc. even here the buzzer isn't stopping the clock, they hit the buzzer and then the judge still stops his clock just the same
The yoke needs to be heavier. Basically a sprint for some guys which makes the event go by too fast and doesn’t put the emphasis on strength. Other than that, pretty sweet.
hooper was so slick with this, an absolute athlete... an animal... combine that with dedication... and a huge new-dad heart! well done mitch! beeen enjoying the rise and rise!

remove that stupid buzzer, its nothing but a waist, strongman is about STRENGTH not speed and agility, this isn't a 5k run stop trying to ruin a good sport!!
You're clearly not someone who actually watches strongman if you think it's only about strength. How do you think Pudzianowski become 5x WSM winner? By being strong, fast and more athletic than everyone else, that's how.
1000 lb yoke is definitely not light, 550 and 600 lb weights for the stairs is heavy too. Just becaused they finished the event doesn't mean it was light
love this show, but if that buzzer is around next year I won't be watching. completely unnecessary addition, only thing it adds is complexity and drama for a cheesy gimmick; this isn't freaking ninja warrior, this is strongman, they lift the weights and the judge stops the timer

So many children complaining about buzzers and high speed events. You guys are acting like any of the CrossFit athletes could just walk out and do the same weights these guys are doing. One of the things that makes strongman exciting is that every comp is different. If you don’t like it, stop watching and go watch powerlifting.

Funnily enough, the only people complaining about the button are fans and athletes who WERE NOT THERE. According to people who were behind the scenes, none of the active participants were complaining about the buzzer and didn’t have any major problems with it. Plus in the grand scheme of things, it didn’t cost anyone points on either the men’s or the women’s side. @@xshayahyawzi3666 you missed the entire point of the powerlifting remark. Great coverage, remove the buzzer.
💯 great coverage, remove the buzzer
Can we get this buzzer from Rogue boutique tho
You need it for timed events accurately otherwise on the other end you'll all call it controversial for not having one.

what genius invented that buzzer ?

Yea why not make it 1000lbs. Still pretty light for these guys but 1000lbs sounds 1000 times better then 900lbs.
