How to unlock your glovebox in a Mitsubishi Pajero / Montero in 20 seconds

This video describes a non-invasive approach to unlocking your Mitsubishi Pajero upper glovebox compartment. I have watched multiple TH-cam videos that have described a simple drilling approach however this involved damaging the look and feel of the latch. The video contained will show you a quick 20 second solution.
You will see in the video I have highlighted some dialogue that suggests Mitsubishi did in fact conceal a lock behind the upper glovebox component which over time manages to "lock-itself" meaning poor enthusiasts who are driving an almost 22 year old machine like me are challenged with having to solve it in the most simple and non-invasive manner.
I had intended today to get my drill out and follow the instructions but I had a light-bulb moment and went to my old toolbox to look for the feeler gauges my father-in-law loaned me in an attempt to solve it without destroying the latch look and feel.
Within 20 seconds the latch was freed and I was back into the glove compartment.
I trust this video will help others solve the problem without the need to drill.
