I think the satisfying thing about these videos is seeing which case remains at the end, which is kind of crazy considering the amount of materials and varieties.
To be fair these drops can’t be good for the phones internals either way but good to know these cases work well. Otterbox was my go to for years but their current cases for the 14 series seems like they got lazy. The phone is so loose in the case
Same my go to has been otter box for years for the 14 pro max on mine and doesn’t feel loose,just don’t like how there’s not a lot of space for the cameras and the sides,I feel like one wrong drop and it will kaput. Hopefully the screen protector will take the hit instead
Tbh I been using casetify and I think it’s pretty good. I nanny a baby and he had literally picked my phone up before and chucked it into the floor super hard and I’ve had no damage. Plus I’m clumsy and always dropping it a lot 😅 and I’ve had no problems either
I user defender for my 13 pro max it served very well. Shifted to UAG monarch pro kevlar for 14 pro max and i find it less bulkier but very firm and rugged.
I’ve had the PhoneRebel case for my 12 Pro for just about as long as I’ve had it and it has been nothing but a beast in terms of absorbing shock from drops and keeping the phone in great shape. The strong MagSafe magnets in the case also have been able to keep it attached to whatever accessory I have it attached to (mainly the Belkin car mount accessory that I use for hands-free operation). Thank you so much for what you do and being able to do so much, from running a business to still being able to maintain this YT channel. It’s okay to take breaks like that when you’re doing so much.
You should start making more videos about new phones and tech like you used to, your tech reviews were the best! Many of your videos helped me deciding what phones to buy!
Miss you man, great video. Would love to see a dust/dirt version of this sort of test. For someone like me that works in construction some cases don't seem to do as well from keeping dust/dirt getting on the side

In my opinion you should show the phones that you dropped after you dropped them for longer and also test them a bit more in depth, check if the front camera, rear cameras, speakers, microphones and entire display is working as intended, no dead zones where the touch screen doesn't interact with your inputs anymore in some areas of the screen. These are all things that might go unnoticed after seeing that no glass cracked, but certainly speakers can stop working after such a high drop!

I love that this company compares their product with competitors and is honest about it. You also give respect where it’s do and don’t throw shade at them to sell yours. I respect that. I got my first rebel case for the 13 pro max and not once ever have an issue with it. I just got the 14 pro max and plan on getting the rebel for it. He does make a clear one on the rebel website you have to select it when you choose which phone you have. They have the rebel case, frosted clear case, flex case, and a clear one. Hope this helped
Ordered and returned Phone Rebel Gen 4. I prefer a case with some grip on the sides, especially as Max Pro phones are a handful now. This one was too slippery for me, but loved the Ultra colored buttons. Gen 5 teaser shows some side texture. I'll look forward to giving it a try whenever they release.
@B C I have a Mous coming today. Going to see how that new side grip is. Went with the Aramid fiber here too. Definitely going to get a G5 to compare whenever that happens though. Seems like both are well designed.

I'm honestly not surprised with UAG or Otterbox. I had my 13 pro max camera crack from a back drop, and no nothing was was protruding up. ALL THREE cameras cracked. Then the back on my 14 cracked after a simple fall in a Otterbox commuter case. I have a feeling these companies have skimped out the past couple years, solely relying on brand name for customer retention. Glad to see this as I've been debating switching cases.

I dropped my iPhone 14 otter box defender xt off a bridge by accident and fell on a walkway underneath was probly around 10 metres high Mabey more , was not a cratch on it except the rubber was scuffed , like you said more test of the same cases would of come out with different results , Mabey throw some pebbles down and watch all the screens get smashed if land face down ect 😂

Maybe, but I think iPhone’s getting tougher every year is the real reason so many survived this year. The iPhone is requiring less and less case protection to survive the 50 ft drop every year, IMO.
@@BC08 I think if that were the case then the previous years iPhones would be shattered in his cases but they didn’t and they shattered in many other brand cases. But this year way more phones survived
Been watching the videos since I had my iPod touch 4 back in the day and wanted to jailbreak it. If you made a charging port cover on your cases like the otter box defender I’d 100% buy them and recommend them.

I got your case for the Iphone se about two years ago. I've dropped my phone well over hundreds of times throughout the years some of which have been hard impacts. To this day my phone, or the case doesn't have a scratch on it... I'm about to get an Iphone 14 and can't wait to get another one of your cases! Really amazing quality, and durable material!
Finally so waiting for this yearly video. So proud that the flex series survived the drop as expected haha , currently using this for my iPhone14 promax since launch day👊💪💪and I think 3 of my friends as well bought them because I vouch for it and now will forward this video to them. Worth every penny imho. More power guys🙌
I like the fact that the surface of the concrete that the phones are hitting is rough and slightly irregular, instead of being perfectly flat like a tile floor, since the irregular surface is more of a real-world stress test for a phone that face-plants, showing that phone cases with taller edges around the phone's display will protect the phone's screen better, but as shown with the Rebel Gen 4 and 5 drop tests, all a case needs for good face-plant screen protection is raised corners around the display to give most (nearly all?) of the same protection as an all-around raised display edge, and the lower case edges this allows around the rest of the display gives you unobstructed finger swiping.
Those Spigen tough armor and rugged armor (for a thin case) are low key crazy impressive. My XR took a spill off my motorcycle and cartwheeled 50 ft down a road with no damages to the phone and only minor scuffs to the rugged armor case.. probably will get tough armor for my iphone 13.. or rebel frosted... hard to say
@@maximus7254 I actually got the rugged armor and rebel frosted. I have mainly used the rebel frosted and it has done well. It does scratch easily though. But I like it quite a bit. The rugged armor is very nice though. Can’t go wrong with either

Love your flex series with the exposed sides. It looks unique. I would appreciate tho if the bottom and top lips and especially the corners looked a little bit less chunky. I understand it is for protection, however I would sacrifice a "little" bit of that for a better look. Currently those are the only things holding it back from on an aesthetics perspective, otherwise it looks really cool.

The clear cases get yellow (even though he claims they don't). Won't recommend.
@@SystemRichie well the one from Apple don’t get yellow but it’s open on the down side of the phone that’s why I didn’t want to buy it. However I had one from Apple for my iPhone pro Max 11 it didn’t turned yellow
He does make a clear one on the rebel website you have to select it when you choose which phone you have. They have the rebel case, frosted clear case, flex case, and a clear one. Hope this helped

Ordered and returned Phone Rebel Gen 4. I prefer a case with some grip on the sides, especially as Max Pro phones are a handful now. This one was too slippery for me, but loved the Ultra colored buttons. Gen 5 teaser shows some side texture. I'll look forward to giving it a try whenever they release.
Grip is the one aspect the Rebel cases need to work on.
I still think the Gen 4 is the best hybrid case on the maket for the iPhone 14 series though.
@B C I have a Mous coming today. Going to see how that new side grip is. Went with the Aramid fiber here too. Definitely going to get a G5 to compare whenever that happens though. Seems like both are well designed.

I'm honestly not surprised with UAG or Otterbox. I had my 13 pro max camera crack from a back drop, and no nothing was was protruding up. ALL THREE cameras cracked. Then the back on my 14 cracked after a simple fall in a Otterbox commuter case. I have a feeling these companies have skimped out the past couple years, solely relying on brand name for customer retention.
Glad to see this as I've been debating switching cases.

I dropped my iPhone 14 otter box defender xt off a bridge by accident and fell on a walkway underneath was probly around 10 metres high Mabey more , was not a cratch on it except the rubber was scuffed , like you said more test of the same cases would of come out with different results , Mabey throw some pebbles down and watch all the screens get smashed if land face down ect 😂

Maybe, but I think iPhone’s getting tougher every year is the real reason so many survived this year.
The iPhone is requiring less and less case protection to survive the 50 ft drop every year, IMO.
@@BC08 I think if that were the case then the previous years iPhones would be shattered in his cases but they didn’t and they shattered in many other brand cases. But this year way more phones survived

Been watching the videos since I had my iPod touch 4 back in the day and wanted to jailbreak it. If you made a charging port cover on your cases like the otter box defender I’d 100% buy them and recommend them.

I got your case for the Iphone se about two years ago. I've dropped my phone well over hundreds of times throughout the years some of which have been hard impacts. To this day my phone, or the case doesn't have a scratch on it... I'm about to get an Iphone 14 and can't wait to get another one of your cases! Really amazing quality, and durable material!

So proud that the flex series survived the drop as expected haha , currently using this for my iPhone14 promax since launch day👊💪💪and I think 3 of my friends as well bought them because I vouch for it and now will forward this video to them. I like the fact that the surface of the concrete that the phones are hitting is rough and slightly irregular, instead of being perfectly flat like a tile floor, since the irregular surface is more of a real-world stress test for a phone that face-plants, showing that phone cases with taller edges around the phone's display will protect the phone's screen better, but as shown with the Rebel Gen 4 and 5 drop tests, all a case needs for good face-plant screen protection is raised corners around the display to give most (nearly all?) of the same protection as an all-around raised display edge, and the lower case edges this allows around the rest of the display gives you unobstructed finger swiping.
This is what I like. No fluff. Just get into the video. Do what it’s supposed to and out. No unnecessary talking and buildups to nothing
Those Spigen tough armor and rugged armor (for a thin case) are low key crazy impressive. My XR took a spill off my motorcycle and cartwheeled 50 ft down a road with no damages to the phone and only minor scuffs to the rugged armor case.. probably will get tough armor for my iphone 13.. or rebel frosted... hard to say

@@maximus7254 I actually got the rugged armor and rebel frosted. I have mainly used the rebel frosted and it has done well. It does scratch easily though. But I like it quite a bit. The rugged armor is very nice though. Can’t go wrong with either

Love your flex series with the exposed sides. It looks unique.
I would appreciate tho if the bottom and top lips and especially the corners looked a little bit less chunky. I understand it is for protection, however I would sacrifice a "little" bit of that for a better look. Currently those are the only things holding it back from on an aesthetics perspective, otherwise it looks really cool.
I feel you on that, I personally like the design but a slimmer flex series would be nice
