Fasting absolutely works ! I found Dr. Rachel almost 2 years ago when I weighed 395 lbs with of course ED. I started with a 16-18hr fast the first year, I only lost 30 lbs. This January I started OMAD, one meal a day, I lost another 65 lbs, 95 lbs total since I started. I eat what I want for dinner, dirty keto I guess. Coffee in the morning with heavy whipping cream then water & Berberine till dinner. Nuts, cheese & meats for occasional snacks. About 298 lbs now, 🍆 NO PROBLEM ! Goal is 225. 100% Healthy Lifestyle, Good luck.
I started adding cacao powder to my black coffee and a touch of stevia. Since I started loading with creatine, I've cut back on how much coffee I drink, which used to be all day/night, no longer drink coffee in evening; I switched to green tea.

I'm one of those "weird" people who will drink coffee right up until I go to bed and it doesn't bother me. Or I should say USED to...but old habits die hard and I'm prone to go back to old ways now and then.

Yes, Dr. Rachael… we like…no… we love lies…so they give us lies. Fortunately, I’m learning more about my body as I get older. I have teas, ginger/lime/lemon water and all manner of herbal teas with cinnamon, cloves, cayenne pepper, etc…way into the afternoon and late afternoon and even evening before I eat foods often…and I feel like a 20 year old at age 57.
I am shifting my fast to early schedule. I stop eating 6-8 hrs before sleep. This gives my kidney time to process everything before I sleep. When I sleep my entire body takes a break, including my kidney. I only have 1 kidney left and part of it was lost to cancer also.

The just before Bedtime Snack(Banana,Cinnamon). I consumed these natural Nuts from Zambia and Watermelon ( Natural Viagra) for a Month on a daily basis. Kegel exercises for the Pelvic Floor Muscles also helped.By the way I m 50 years old..I also 5:30am Bike ride for 4kms every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Just a bit of extra information: specifically black maca for men, Raw garlic, watermelon husk, strawberries and kefir all have great properties for these specific means. Raw garlic is the best and cheapest particularly for those with blood pressure issues but it takes a bit of a specific process to get the most benefits, but it's super easy and those "how to's" are on youtube as well.
I like unsweetened applesauce with raw cut up garlic in it , I would eat about 3 tablespoons of it every morning before my breakfast. It works you will feel better

After my usual 16 to 20 hours fast for the last 5 years. Doesn't matter what time of the day. Been on the night shift for 37 years. I always break my fast with a STEAK, usually with eggs. 60 YO now. Do not take any medication. The wife of 35 years is still happy. (I believe) LOL. Great advice Doc. 95% carnivore. Still drink coffee. Night shift , whatta you gonna do!

I am 78 years eat at 10am cereal, then eat various chocolate bars, probably eat a meat pie or something else then some cakes but eat then Chinese meal or curry at 11-12pm then at 2 am other chocolate bars, bed at 4am then up at 8am, then the cycle starts again, no weight problems , no heart problem or cholesterol issue, have not had a cold, not had that “Chinese flu!”(covid) despite being with those that have had it several times

I do a 18 to 24 hr fast.! It’s either eggs ! I broke yesterday with pizza! Then chicken! No snacks
