    There are marking on the piece that sticks out with the mushroom shape to line up the holes after the first punch. Line up with the marking just before the ¾ inch mark and punch and it’s the same as happy planner refill paper. If you line it up with the marking right beside the mushroom (lines up with the top edge of the rush room) this seems to line up the paper with the paper cover portion in the laminate. Can’t seem to get a hole so it lines up with the top of the laminate cover.

    I gasped when it went through the clear dollar tree cutting board. I've cut thru that thing (with a lot of pressure) with my normal happy planner hole puncher and it was a hassle. To see it breeze through like that, I'm sold!

    • @subparplanning
      @subparplanning  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agreed! I was super nervous to do it, but then it was like a hot knife through butter!

  • @flowersafeheart
    @flowersafeheart 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    This just sounds so damn good. I have the amazing biggest Levenger punch I will not even attempt chip board for and wasn't even sure if I should punch my Dollar Tree cutting mats with so haven't tried. This would fill in the gap of chipboard covers, etc. So stoked!!! Been looking for a video to show it does in fact handle chip board and you delivered!! Plus I'd rather be experimental or risky with a $33 product, not my $100+ Levenger punch!!

    • @subparplanning
      @subparplanning  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have always wanted that Levenger punch. It looks so smooth when people use it. I admit I was a little nervous to see how it was going to turn out punching the chipboard, but I was pumped when it cut through. I'm so glad the video was able to answer your questions!

    I was lucky and my Michael's had some left...there are a few of these punches that
    could not cut 2 pieces of water color paper..I am always impressed with WRMK
    and their ability to make punches that do not require so much pressure...

    • @subparplanning

  • @rmk9276

    Have watched loads of reviews of this punch, and all the different materials being punched, but would love to see them being inserted into the actual planner discs and how smoothly they go in and turn etc?

    • @subparplanning
      @subparplanning  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Through the video I do place the items I pushed into a planner, and turn them to see how it feels, but I didn't take them for a real test drive and use them over the course of a few hours. However, what I did do definitely felt pretty smooth. Hope that helps.

    Do you know if you can get this to work with the TUL/Levenger/Arc punches? I know the stem is a different length but I was wondering if you could use the guide to get the right distance

    • @subparplanning
      @subparplanning  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a great question. I don't know for sure if it would work for spacing. I used to have a classic happy planner punch, but it finally fell apart last year. I have only been using the power punch since. Thinking about it, I don't see why it wouldn't work, but I have no way to confirm that for you. Let me know if you find the answer!

      @subparplanning  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The punch actually goes further in than the happy planner punch does. I noticed the stem length on the we r memory keepers punch is longer, which I thought was interesting. Hope that helps.

      I didn’t print that on the cardstock. I purchased a pack of those mason jar diecuts, but I bought them about 3 years ago and unfortunately I don’t remember where.

    What spacing do you choose on the punch to make happy planner disk bound

    • @subparplanning
      @subparplanning  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I actually line it up in my happy planner punch or the new We R Memory Keepers has a way to line up the previous punch with the new punch on a new sheet. Super easy to line things up with the new punch. I love it!

    • @Ronie1981
      @Ronie1981 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@subparplanning great thanks but I am not exactly sure how to start the first punch on the We R. The second punch is guided by the first punch but how would you space the first punch from the top?

    • @subparplanning
      @subparplanning  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Ronie1981 Gotcha. I usually just eye ball and punch. You could also try to line up a sheet and punch not the first punch, but the second punch and continue down until it's done, and then flip it over and line up the punch with the first punch you made to get the last punch done. Another option would be to measure the distance of an already punched sheet from the end of the paper to the first punch and see if you can mark it somehow on the sheet you want to punch. I hope one of those ideas helps.

    I just bought this punch, and I didn't like it very much. Altough very similar, the punch hole it makes isn't exactly the same as The Happy Planner's punch. It also doesn't have any sort of measurement so I don't know where to start punching my notebook hard covers. Really unhappy about this purchase.

    • @subparplanning
      @subparplanning  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm sorry that it didn't work for you. I agree about the lack of measurements to start punching on the paper. This is what I do to help me get started on a cover or sheet of paper. I line up the cover with another cover that is punched and start to punch on the second cut out from the top. Then I line up the punch with just cut punch spot. Then I follow until all spots are punched and flip the cover over and punch the last one. I hope that helps.

    Why do so many waffle on before just teaching on how to use

    • @subparplanning
      @subparplanning  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question. I tried to just start using it so folks could see it in action, but I myself did waffle bit with getting the punch lined up.
