I hate that those polo's with a dress-shirt collar have such a long plaque of buttons that reach beyond your chest. Why can't these companies make it shorter, with 2 buttons, just like every other polo? That would have been so much better and make you look more masculine. A polo as we all know it, but with a more sturdy collar. Hope the companies see this comment and use it.

I work as field assistant, visiting farmers & farm supply shops everyday, polo shirt is the perfect fit for my work wear, casual enough to meet farmers yet still formal enough to meet shop owners.
I got black & navy jeans, and black, red, green, yellow, & orange polos. Black jeans works well with black & red polos, while navy one works well with green, yellow, & orange polos.
My go to shoes are black & brown work boots.

No prints if you are over 16. No distressed denim if you are over 20. You also don't wear onesies anymore...
And a polo is for an adult a replacement for a T-Shirt, not a dress shirt.
Color: depends also on you skin tone, body size and climate zone (yes, makes a difference).

Firstly, I recently found your channel and love your content and it has built on the subtle foundation I had and took it to a higher more professional look (as was desired).
Secondly, I'm a small business owner, small built (5'-10/150lbs) and in my early 40's.
For semi-casual work applications, I tend to use dark/black untucked Polos (on the looser side), to allow for "concealed carry" while still looking professional.. but there's always that thin line of being too loose/big of a fit. So how do you effectively accomplish the aesthetics, while "concealed carrying" (namely appendix)?
So, for reference, I like the Collars&Co solid black and the desert sky semi-spread, short sleeve, 4 button, straight hem Polo, and depending on setting, I'm considering pairing with either my :
    1) the heavier denim Indigo Levi 505 with cognac Florsheim Flex Plain Toe Oxford or 2) the lighter denim Khaki Levi 505 with black Florsheim RUCCI Plain Toe Chukka Boot
.. your thoughts/advice on the selections and sizing?

My understanding of the history of the shirt is that Lacoste created the shirt for tennis. Polo players wore what we now call OCBD's, which is why Brooks Brothers shirt says the original polo shirt. They switched to the "tennis" shirt because of its comfort. This is why Ralph Lauren eventually used the polo player for his logo.

As a woman viewing this polo shirt, I will give you my two cents' worth of opinion. The silky cotton jersey-type fabric of the Collars and Co, when stretched over a man's torso looks rather off-putting - like a tight second skin. The opposite of sexy. Better to buy it in a slightly larger size if you want to go for this option. This is why I prefer the pique fabric of the original polo shirt - it stands slightly away from the body and looks, in my opinion, far classier and sexier on a man. As do those made in a fine wool or silk/cashmere combination.

I agree with this. Not all polos are created equal! That being said, some of the more expensive ones you are just paying for the brand name so you need to find something that works for you. I'm not saying all the expensive ones are overpriced or that brands are necessarily "bad" as some are definitely worth the money but you need to use your own judgement a little bit.

Im big and muscular and I still find it hard to find the right polo cut. Often the more expensive shirts actually seem the most "cookie cutter" and dont sit right. Like Antonio said you just need to play with different options and styles to find which cut sits on you the best!

I used to be fairly slim, but with big legs. Now I have late middle age gut (which I don’t like but am not motivated to deal with). I have always paid attention to my clothing choices. I’m retired now and don’t need to wear any dress shirts. Polos, especially in light colours, look hideous with the gut clinging to that pear shape. Instead I wear crumpled linen shirts, soft collar, untucked; always with nice shorts (I live in tropical Australia, so no winter) and Birkenstocks.
I’m still shocked at how having a gut limits my clothing choices (although it doesn’t seem to stop a lot of men..)! Perhaps I’ll start exercising again.

@@Ben-jq5oo Do it mate, never too late to make improvements and feel better about yourself. I know how awful it is to feel uncomfortable about the way I look, the main reason I ever started working at keeping myself in shape. I like to think of physical training and exercise this way; Remember, a little bit of something is better than alot of nothing. Make a start today and build it little by little. Hope it goes well for you!! All the best, from Brissy ;)

Long sleeved polos get a bad rep but I like them and have 2 or 3. I think they look better on slimmer/skinnier guys like myself than on thickset guys and it works for the slimmer body type IMO. Granted, some of them do look a bit odd but it comes down to the fit, the style, the brand etc as well as your body type.
I personally have always liked the look because it looks sleek/clean and is often a halfway house between a casual short sleeve polo and a dress shirt, as well as being a bit warmer. I know a lot of style snobs and menswear "experts" (present company excepted!) have a downer on the long sleeve polo but I've never really agreed with that.

How do I know what type of denim I’m buying. I’m price conscious, but I’d like to dress better. Can I dress up Walmart Jeans? I’m sure the answer is no to the carpenter style with the hammer loop on the side, but what about the other styles? Do I need to spend $100+ to get a nice pair of jeans?

I am afraid you're going to need to do a similar video addressing polos with chinos. I feel the rules may be different, am I right? I loved the video, btw.

I want to see a range of body types modelling the clothes. Lots of us don’t have abs and aren’t interested in getting them. Let’s see some dad bods and older fuller body types.

Should the polo be tucked in? I don't think it looks sharp untucked, like at 11:08. TY

I follow and like your videos.
Two, important, grammatical, “style” points that are not stylish when heard: piqué is correctly said , with the second syllable pronounced with a long “a” sound; the verb “run” should replace the verb “ran” in the sentence along the lines of “… polos that have been ran through the washer …”

OK, I was a walking fashion tragedy the first time I visited Paris and yet I was getting along quite well with the pretty Parisian girls anyway.
Antonio , how do you know what's going on inside a girl's mind ? How did you become the high God of fashion and the perfect ladies man ?

The minute appears in the title of this channel's videos, you know it's a Collars and Co advertisement. On that note, good product and semi-spread collar works best for versatility and durability. English spread....too big...too much.
